Abstract

Environmental problems are not new to us. In the past, environmental problems arose due to naturalevents that occurred outside human control, for example the eruption of Mount Tambura on Sumbawa(1815) and the Krakatau Mountain in the Sunda Strait (1883). Green design is often interpreted asan environmentally sound design, or design that friendly to the environment. In other words, greendesign is a design that integrates the entire process in one unit by considering the consequences for theenvironment. One of the local young Indonesian designers, alumni from Mercu Buana University, madean innovative work that was creative and extraordinary, he made a product that greatly influenced theenvironment. The products he made were hanging pot planting media, planting media made of plasticwaste, the main ingredient was plastic plastic in which plastic can be found everywhere Rizal TropicalWall products have implemented the principles of sustainability of a product in the field of design withpay attention to environmental factors, or better known as the concept of eco-design or green design.Achieving an ecologically conscious society must begin with ‘habits’ in every action. The ‘habit’ mustbe started from and fostered so that it can develop. Starting and nurturing must be together. Remindeach other, admonish each other, and teach one another, togetherness is needed to succeed. All of theseapplications are based on when there is a feeling of caring for nature, aware of the effects that are verydangerous for us because we just ignore the environment.

Abstract

AbstractOne of the famous comic strips in Indonesia since 2014 is Tahilalats (Instagram @tahilalats). With itssimple visual characteristics, Tahilalats comics are able to become interesting, recognizable, sustainable,and comfortable comics to watch. This study will discuss the design elements in Tahilalats comicsthat form a syntactic visual system as an effort to achieve consistency in each episode. This studyuses qualitative methodologies and descriptive analysis methods with Charles Morris’ semiotic theoryand literacy methods by collecting data from books, journals, articles, and pages on the internet thatare related to the object. Through this research, it can be concluded that the syntactic visual systemmakes comics look interrelated and when there are too many episodes, it will be seen as a unified designthat distinguishes it from other similar comics. The results of this study are expected to be useful fordesigners and comic artists to understand a good syntactic system in sustainable design works..Keywords: comic, design elements, syntacticAbstrakSalah satu komik strip yang terkenal di Indonesia sejak tahun 2014 adalah Tahilalats (Instagram @tahilalats). Dengan ciri khas visual yang sederhana, komik Tahilalats mampu menjadi komik yang menarik, mudah dikenali, berkesinambungan, dan nyaman untuk dilihat.Penelitian ini akan membahas elemen desain dalam komik Tahilalats yang membentuk sistem visual sintaktik sebagai upaya mencapai konsistensi dalam tiap episodenya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori semiotika Charles Morris. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode literasi yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan objek. Melalui penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem sintaktik visual membuat komik terlihatsaling berkaitan. Selain itu ketika episode yang dibuat sangat banyak akan terlihat sebagai satu kesatuan desain yang mempunyai pembeda dari komik sejenis lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berguna bagi desainer komunikasi visual terutama komikus agar dapat memahami sistem sintaktik visual dalam karya desain yang berkesinambungan.Kata kunci: komik, elemen desain, sintaktik

Abstract

AbstractAesthetic Studies of Visual Interface and User Experience In the Ruangguru Application, Visual interface design is a graphic design medium which in this digital age has been widely seen by the public, in this period of large-scale social restrictions, many daily activities use digital media and internet, one of which is school, many use online-based applications or websites to do learning. It's just that these users still lack the habit of using similar applications, for that we need a good user interface to help users use the application, one of the online learning applications is Ruangguru, an application that is well known by the public. In this study, the researcher intends to examine how the user interface of the Ruangguru application affects its users, User Experience is needed to be able to assess the User Interface has been well received by users, for that aesthetic value is also a supporter of the assessment of the User Interface because aesthetics is one of the the most important aspects of designing a Visual Interface Keyword: User Interface, User Experience, Aesthetic Experience Structure, Ruangguru AbstrakKajian Estetika Visual Interface dan User Experience Pada Aplikasi Ruangguru, Visual interface design merupakan sebuah media desain grafis yang pada zaman digital ini sudah banyak dilihat oleh masyarakat, di masa pembatasan sosial berskala besar ini, banyaknya kegiatan-kegiatan sehari-hari yang menggunakan media digital dan internet, salah satunya adalah sekolah, banyak yang menggunakan aplikasi atau website berbasis online untuk melakukan pembelajaran. Hanya saja masih kurang kebiasaan dari pengguna-pengguna tersebut dalam menggunakan aplikasi sejenisnya, untuk itu diperlukannya user interface yang baik untuk membantu pengguna dalam menggunakan aplikasi, salah satu aplikasi belajar online tersebut adalah Ruangguru, merupakan aplikasi yang cukup dikenal oleh masyarakat. Dalam penelitian kali ini peneliti bermaksud mengkaji bagaimana pengaruh user interface aplikasi ruangguru tersebut terhadap penggunanya, User Experience pengguna diperlukan untuk dapat menilai User Interface sudah dapat diterima dengan baik oleh pengguna, untuk itu nilai estetika juga menjadi pendukung penilaian User Interface tersebut dikarenakan estetika merupakan salah satu aspek terpenting pada perancangan Visual Interface Kata kunci: User Interface, User Experience, Struktur Pengalaman Estetika, Ruangguru

Abstract

Abstract Digitalization is an effort to save the text from being destroyed due to hostile climate and humidity. Therefore, observers, enthusiasts, researchers and script owners as well as the government must unite to build synergies in saving and maintaining the script. Thus, the digitalization program which is currently being promoted by various parties or agencies can truly save the nation's intellectual treasure contained in the text. At least, HB Jassin's Literary Documentation Center can take the lead in digitizing theater scripts. With the involvement of the textbook community and official state institutions, it is hoped that there will be some kind of website that takes into account its use as a form of digitization as a form of sustainable national preservation of theater scripts.Keywords: digitalization, teather manuscripts, Center for Literary Documentation of HB Jassin, usability.  AbstrakDigitalisasi merupakan sebuah upaya penyelamatan naskah dari kemusnahan akibat iklim dan kelembaban udara yang tidak bersahabat. Oleh karena itu, para pemerhati, peminat, peneliti, dan pemilik naskah serta pemerintah harus bersatu padu untuk membangun sinergi dalam hal penyelamatan dan pemeliharaan naskah. Dengan demikian, program digitalisasi yang kini sedang digalakkan oleh berbagai pihak atau instansi benar-benar dapat menyelamatkan khazanah intelektual bangsa yang terkandung di dalam naskah. Setidaknya, Pusat Dokumentasi Sastra HB Jassin dapat tampil sebagai garda depan dalam urusan digitalisasi naskah teater. Dengan pelibatan komunitas pernaskahan dan lembaga resmi negara, diharapkan adanya semacam situs web yang memerhatikan usability sebagai bentuk digitalisasi sebagai wujud penyelamatan naskah teater secara nasional yang berkesinambungan.Kata kunci: digitalisasi, naskah teater, Pusat Dokumentasi Sastra HB Jassin, usability.

Abstract

Abstract This paper is a study of Andreas Gursky’s photo Rhein II. In this study, the post-structural semiotic analysis method is used to interpret meaning based on signs on the Rhein II. The post-structural semiotic analysis becomes the basis for interpreting meanings using related references. In the study of Rhein II photo objects, visual text analysis is expected to provide positive benefits for the development of photography, especially academically. Rhein II is a photo by Andreas Gursky. In Rhein II’s photograph, a contemporary photo is presented as a multi-reality representation analyzed using the post-structural semiotic method. The object of research is interpreted as a text that has a layer of meaning that is squeezed out of its essence by semiotics. The deconstruction of the signification system in the visual element is identified by reading the structural postal semiotic theory codes: text analysis process, creation process. The results of semiotic extraction produce an interpretive study of Rhein II which is full of meaning.Keyword: imagery, photography, semioticaAbstrak Makalah ini merupakan kajian dari foto Rhein II karya Andreas Gursky. Dalam kajian ini digunakan metode analisis semiotika post struktural untuk menginterpretasikan makna berdasarkan tanda-tanda pada Rhein. Analisis semiotika post struktural menjadi landasan dalam menginterpretasikan makna-makna dengan menggunakan referensi terkait. analisis teks visual, dalam kajian objek foto Rhein II diharapkan dapat memberikan kebermanfaatan yang positif bagi perkembangan fotografi khususnya secara akademis. Rhein II adalah foto karya Andreas Gursky. Dalam karya Rhein II, sebuah foto kontemporer dihadirkan sebagai representasi multi realitas yang dianalisis menggunakan metode semiotika post struktural. Objek penelitian dimaknai sebagai teks yang memiliki lapisan makna yang terperas esensinya oleh semiotika. Dekonstruksi sistem penandaan dalam elemen visual diidentifikasikan dengan pembacaan kode-kode teori semiotika pos struktural. Proses analisis teks, proses penciptaan. Hasil ekstraksi semiotika menghasilkan kajian interpretatif Rhein II yang sarat makna.Kata kunci: citra imaji, fotografi, semiotika
