Abstract

Proses pengecatan merupakan proses pelapisan dengan tujuan melindungi dan esetika dari produk yang dilapisi. Agar didapatkan permukaan hasil pengecatan yang bagus diperlukan kondisi permukaan yang bagus pula. Kondisi permukaan yang ada sedikit cacat akan tertutupi bila ketebalan lapisan cat yang menempel pada produk cukup tebal. Ketebalan lapisan cat ditentukan oleh jarak penyemprotan, kecepatan langkah ayun, tekanan spray gun dan tekanan tabung residu. Campuran bahan cat dengan pengencer juga berpengaruh pada ketebalan lapisan namun setiap produsen bahan cat telah memberikan rekomendsi perbandingan campuran yang terbaik. Peneliti menentukan jarak penyemprotan 100;150;200 mm, kecepatan langkah ayun 0,381;0,448 m/s, tekanan spray gun 10;12 Psi dan tekanan tabung residu 25;20 Psi. Menggunakan thickness gauge didapatkan ketebalan cat sebesar 0,1 mm pada jarak penyemprotan 100 mm, kecepatan langkah ayun 0,381 m/s, tekanan spray gun 12 Psi dan tekanan tabung residu 20 Psi.

Abstract

In this paper, thermal performance analysis of 4 m2 solar dish collector is presented.The focal image characteristics of the solar dish are determined to propose the suitable design of a receiver. A flat plate was used for the receiver to measure flux distribution in the focal region. The measurement had been done in the midday. Intercept factor based on this distribution had been calculated and was obtained to calculate thermal efficiency after total heat loss was described. From the experiment, total heat loss was formed by conductive and radiative in the receiver. The results showed that the increase in total heat loss followed the increase in receiver temperature and it caused a decrease in thermal efficiency. On the peak of the measurement or in midday, receiver temperature can achieve 138°C and it gave around 1200-Watt heat loss and it was dominated by radiative heat loss for around 80%. The thermal efficiency of the system due to flux distribution measurement in the focal region was above 70% and it was classified as high average but we needed to cover this flux up so it did not lose a lot of heat. Cavity aperture would keep around 20% total heat loss and it minimized radiative heat loss from the flux. The design of cavity aperture was the next discussion to insulate thermal heat reflection of the parabolic dish system from high radiative heat loss.©2020. CBIORE-IJRED. All rights reserved

Abstract

The evaporation process in the nozzle spray system of a cooling tower was the main object of study in order to determine its performance. This process involves liquid water in small size, usually at the droplet level. At this level, parameters that affect the droplet size, such as capacity, air velocity in the chamber, water pressure at the nozzle, atmospheric temperature, etc., influence the process of heat and mass transfer. In this study, capacity and fan rotation were varied to obtain a graph showing the evaporation. Radius, velocity, mass and temperature graphs and rate graphs were obtained from mathematical modeling of the governing equations. From the results it appears that evaporation occurs at a capacity of 6 liter per minute and above, but this requires further proof of the evaporation process along with the height of the tower, which will be the subject of a future study.

Abstract

A CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) system must have a receiver to receive solar ray reflection from parabolic dish collector. Based on the receiver installation to the collector, there are two type installation such as parallel to collector (horizontal direction) and perpendicular to collector (vertical direction). In this research not only we compared the receiver orientation but also we varied geometry concentration ratio. The experiment results show that the focal shape diameter elongates 2 mm and surface temperature increases 5-10°C for vertical orientation with greater concentration ratio. However, there is no significant effect to receiver with horizontal orientation. Thermal efficiency was affected by radiation and convection heat loss but for geometry concentration ratio above 100, radiation and convection heat loss gived small impact.

Abstract

ABSTRAKProgram Studi (prodi) DIII Teknik Mesin adalah salah satu prodi di Jurusan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) yang memiliki penjurusan otomotif dan produksi. Jumlah mahasiswa yang masuk di prodi ini setiap tahun berkisar 70 orang dan mereka dibagi dalam dua kelas. Pada akhir semester empat, mereka akan dibagi menjadi dua penjurusan seperti di atas berdasarkan kemampuan akademik dan minat masing-masing mahasiswa. Jumlah dosen tetap yang mengajar dalam prodi ini adalah 10 orang dengan bidang keahlian otomotif, produksi, konversi energi dan sistem manufaktur. Jumlah ini telah memenuhi standar minimal jumlah dosen dalam satu prodi yaitu enam orang. Dari hasil Laporan Kinerja Dosen (LKD) pada periode empat tahun ini didapatkan hasil bahwa Beban Kinerja Dosen (BKD) mengalami kelebihan di atas ketentuan standar BKD yang minimalnya 12 sks (sistem kredit semester) dan maksimalnya 16 sks. Dari ketiga unsur tri dharma yang dinilai yaitu pengajaran, penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat, ada kenaikan berbeda di setiap unsurnya yang dialami oleh masing-masing dosen sehingga memengaruhi total sks yang diizinkan oleh BKD standar setiap semesternya. Dari hasil yang telah didapatkan, LKD masing-masing dosen mengalami kenaikan di atas rata-rata 12 SKS namun masih terhitung normal. Juga nampak distribusi dosen pada masing-masing prodi kurang merata atau masih banyak dosen mengajar pada prodi yang bukan home base-nya. Sehingga hasil analisis sementara dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa masih diperlukan tambahan dosen baru yang berkonsentrasi pada salah satu prodi yang ada di jurusan.                                                                                                                 Kata Kunci: BKD, LKD, otomotif, produksi, sks. ABSTRACTDIII Mechanical Engineering study program is one of study programs in Mechanical Engineering Department, State University of Surabaya (Unesa) that has automotive and production majors. The number of students who enter in this program are around 70 students per year and they have been divided into two groups. In the end of fourth semester, they will be divided into the majors above which is based on their academic abilities and interests. The number of lecturers who lectured in this program are 10 peoples with the areas of expertise are automotive, production, energy conversion and manufacturing systems. These numbers have been fulfilled minimal numbers of lecturer in a study program that are six peoples. Based on Lecturer Performance Report (LKD) in this four years period, it is obtained that Lecturers Performance Burden (BKD) have increase above BKD provision that has 12 sks (credit transfer system) minimum and 16 sks maximum. From the three elements of Tridharma, that are education, research and community services, there had different increasing in each element that had experienced by each lecturer as of influencing total sks which are allowed by BKD provision per semester. From the results which have been obtained, the LKD on each lecturer goes up on the above 12 sks average but it is still normal. Also it seem that lecturer distribution in each study program did not equal or many lecturers gave lecturing at study program that it is not their home base. Finally the whilst result that can be attracted is the department still needs new lecturer that focus in one of the study programs in the department.                                                                                                 Keywords: automotive, BKD, LKD, production, sks.

Abstract

Puli crackers are an SME business in Indonesia which has a fairly good protein composition and is usually used as souvenirs of Madura. The problems of most Indonesia’s SMEs are still using manual labour with makeshift equipment. and the assistant machines available in the market have a large capacity so they are not easy to use on a household scale with small electrical capacity. The development method used in the design of an energy-efficient general-purpose cutting machine is engineering design until test and evaluate prototype stage. The engine capacity is 1,065 gr/s at the 2nd or 3rd 24 V dimmer speed setting. The result of this design process is the selection of an electric motor driven machine that is adjusted to the required power with reduced direct transmission in order to be able to cut the cracker dough.
