Abstract

Abstrak. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk melakukan transfer of knowledge kepada mitra dalam hal ini santriwati berupa pengetahuan tentang keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Madrasah Aliyah Putri Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso Kampus III Putri Bulu’ Lampang, Kabupaten Barru sebanyak sekitar 50 santriwati. Metode yang digunakan adalah brain storming, penyampaian materi dengan merode ceramah, diskusi dan sharing pengalaman, dan games yang disajikan pada awal materi dan di bagian akhir materi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terserapnya materi tentang komunikasi interpersonal oleh peserta (mitra), yang dapat digunakan dalam komunikasi mereka sehari-hari.  Kata Kunci: Komunikasi interpersonal, santriwati, pondok pesantren.

Abstract

Bermain video game adalah hal yang umum di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah. Game favorit para remaja sering mengandung konten kekerasan. Remaja bermain violent video game (VVG) untuk membangkitkan adrenalin, semangat, menghilangkan kebosanan, melarikan diri dari masalah sekolah atau keluarga, dan sebagai motivasi untuk mengatasi pengaruh negatif yang mereka alami. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 63 orang remaja yang bermain VVG dan 29 orang yang bermain non-VVG di sebuah gaming center di Kota Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sensation seeking berpengaruh terhadap bermain VVG di kalangan remaja dengan nilai r = 0,397 (p = 0,001). Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p=0,000) rata-rata emosi (mempengaruhi keseimbangan, emosi positif-negatif) sebelum dan sesudah bermain VVG, artinya remaja yang bermain VVG lebih cenderung mengalami emosi positif setelah memainkan VVG. Temuan lain menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada perasaan remaja yang memainkan VVG dan yang tidak memainkan VVG. Kelompok yang memainkan VVG memiliki lebih cenderung mengalami emosi positif (affect balanced emosi positif-negatif) daripada kelompok yang memainkan non-VVG.

Abstract

Penggunaan musik mnemonik pada anak ditinjau mampu meningkatkan short-term memory dalam menguasai kosakata bahasa inggris. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh musik mnemonik terhadap short-term memory anak kelas 4 SD. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 32 siswa kelas 4 SD, dengan menggunakan purposive sampling sebagai teknik pengambilan sampel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian between subject design. Tema kosakata yang diberikan sejumlah 2 yaitu tema hewan dan nama nama hari. Pada penelitian ini terdapat dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh musik mnemonik terhadap short-term memory siswa kelas 4 SD dalam menguasai kosa kata bahasa inggris.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication anxiety is a mental health issue that may be encountered by individuals, including those who are enrolled in academic institutions. Individuals who exhibit low levels of confidence and evaluate themselves unfavorably in social interactions may experience interpersonal communication anxiety directed towards themselves. The objective of this research is to establish a correlation between confidence and anxiety in interpersonal communication among college students residing in Makassar city. The present study employs quantitative methodologies. The present study employed an accidental sampling method, with a sample size of 470 participants (n = 470). The researcher utilized self-confidence and interpersonal communication anxiety scales that were compiled for the purposes of this study. The statistical analysis of the research data was conducted using the Spearman Test, utilizing the SPSS 22.0 software for Windows. The findings indicate that a statistically significant inverse correlation exists between self-assurance and anxiety related to interpersonal communication among undergraduate students residing in Makassar city (p=0.000, r=-0.156). This study found that the greater the level of self-confidence, the lower the level of interpersonal communication anxiety; conversely, the lower the level of self-confidence, the higher the level of interpersonal communication anxiety in Makassar city college students. The findings of this study may help students avoid more serious mental health issues by lowering their levels of worry about interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Sexism is manifested through the division of gender-based roles and the unequal distribution of rights and opportunities. One of one sexism is benevolent sexism . The objective of this study is to investigate the correlation between benevolent sexism and obedience with women. The population of this study was adolescent girls, with a sample number of 75 subjects. This research uses a correlative method through data collection done by using a scale benevolent sexism and the scale of obedience. The data that has been gathered is subsequently subjected to regression statistical analysis. The findings indicate a statistically significant correlation between benevolent sexism and obedience with norms among adolescent females.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to ascertain the levels of learning motivation (X) and student engagement (Y) among students enrolled at SMAN X Gowa. The present investigation employed a quantitative methodology, utilizing a simple random sampling technique to procure participants for the study. The sample population for this research comprised of 150 students from SMAN X Gowa, consisting of 69 male and 81 female participants. The present investigation employed Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) and Student Engagement in School Scale. The study used the product moment method for data analysis and obtained a statistically significant positive correlation (r = 0.783, p < 0.05) between learning motivation and student engagement. The findings suggest a positive correlation between the scores of learning motivation and student involvement. The degree of motivation to learn has been found to have a significant impact on student engagement, accounting for 61.3% of the variance in this construct. The findings of this study hold significant implications that can be properly considered by educators in designing effective learning curricula.
