Abstract

The target of the research is to find out the existing conditions of honey bee cultivation business management and to determine the management strategy set based on existing conditions of TAKOMA Farmer Groups in Sait Buttu Saribu, Sidamanik District, Simalungun Regency. The data retrieved is primary data and secondary data. Through direct interviews using questionnaires of 17 honey bee farmers, primary data were obtained As for the secondary data obtained from literaure. Research analysis, namely descriptive analysis using SWOT analysis techniques. The existing condition of managing the honey bee cultivation business of the TAKOMA Farmer Group is that the business has high strength so that it runs well, does not have any significant weaknesses from the internal aspect, has taken advantage of opportunities from external factors aimed at improving cultivation efforts, and experiencing meaningful threats that can be improved from the aspect of work resilience. The strategy set in the framework of business development is to maintain and maintain the internal strengths owned and make good use of the opportunities that are already owned and also suppressing as small as possible the threats that can cause the failure of the TAKOMA farmer group's honey bee cultivation development efforts.

Abstract

Dampak dari kegiatan ilegal yang merusak ekosistim hutan dapat menyebabkan perubahan komposisi jenis dan timbunan karbon vegetasi. Penelitian yang ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis dan timbunan karbon (C) vegetasi Hutan Lindung Gunung Simbolon (HLGS) Kabupaten Simalungun. Metode penelitian menggunakan invetarisasi potensi kayu dan menduga timbunan karbon dengan pendekatan BEF (Biomass Expending Factor). Berdasarkan hasil inventarisasi dan pengolahan data jenis vegetasi dan potensi kayu diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat 22 jenis vegetasi yang terdiri dari 2 jenis dipterocarpacea (Shorea leprosula dan Shorea platycaldos), 7 jenis pionir (Macaranga tricocarpa, Macaranga gigantea, Homalanthus populneus, Trema orientalis, Anthocephalus chinensis, Arthocarpus anisophyllus, Zyzigium sp), 3 jenis endemik (Schima wallicii, Cinnamomum averum dan Cinnamomum subaveninum) serta 10 jenis rimba campuran (Alstonia scholaris, Lithocarpus cycloporus, Kompassia malaccensis, Sauaria vulcani, Aquillaria malaccensis, Borassus flabellifer, Cratoxylon arborescens, Bischofia javanica, Litsea monopetala dan Casuarina junghuhniana). Timbunan karbon dari berbagai jenis vegetasi yang terdapat pada 29.560 ha ekosistim Hutan Lindung Gunung Simbolon adalah 22.914.659,4 atau 2,29146594 x 107 ton.

Abstract

A researched 10 clones of Eucalypts were done in Toba Pulp Forest in 2 sectors of Aek Nauli and Tele as the representative plots. The main objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the number of trees and the average diameter, average branch-free height and average volume of 10 IND clones currently cultivated. in the plantation forest area of PT Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk and compared the volume of wood from 10 IND clones and determined the 3 candidate species recommended for cultivation in the next period. Research method of inventory of stand by circle radius plot of 11.28 m (0.04 ha) with 3 replications summarized plot broaded about 1.2 ha. Based on the wood analysis volume analysis can be resumed that 3 IND eucalypts clones are recommended for planting the next period, namely IND 61, IND 60 and IND 11.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis Peranan Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Partisipasi Masyarakat Terhadap Pembangunan Desa Longkotan Kecamatan Silima Pungga Pungga Kabupaten Dairi. Peranan Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Partisipasi Masyarakat merupakan program pemerintah desa yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi sarana Pembangunan Desa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah penduduk desa longkotan  berjumlah  411 rumah  tangga.  Dengan mengggunakan rumus penarikan sampel,  maka  sampel penelitian sebesar 80 rumah tangga secara random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis linier berganda dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil Penelitian  menyimpulkan Lembaga  Pemberdayaan Masyarakat  dan Partisipasi Masyarakat berpengaruh positif dan nyata terhadap Pembangunan Desa Longkotan di Kecamatan Silima Punggapungga Kabupaten Dairi dengan nilai Fhitung  = 49.833 dan Ftabel = 2,47, diperoleh Persamaan regresi linier berganda: Y = 10,189 + 0,201X1  + 0,457X2. Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Partisipasi Masyarakat dapat  menjelaskan variasi Pembangunan  Desa  Longkotan sebesar  56,4  %,  sedangkan  sisanya sebesar 43,6% lagi dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak ikut diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Pembangunan Desa Longkotan di Kecamatan Silima Punggapungga Kabupaten Dairi sudah baik tapi masih perlu dibenahi dan ditingkatkan terutama pada aspek Pembangunan Fisik yang masih belum memadai, sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang belum memadai, program pembangunan desa masih cenderung diarahkan untuk kepentingan kelompok tertentu saja. Hubungan sinergitas antara pemerintah desa dengan lembaga masyarakat pedesaan perlu terus ditingkatkan karena merupakan energi besar dalam menunjang keberhasilan program dan kegiatan pemerintahan dan pembangunan pedesaan. Faktor pembangunan fisik, pendidikan dan kesehatan sangat strategis agar program pemberdayaan efektif dan efisien menanggulangi masalah kemiskinan dan kesenjangan di wilayah perdesaan
