Abstract

Machinery or production equipment was the most important part of a production system. Machines need effective and efficient maintenance to be able to guarantee and support the production process to operate properly. The gas filter industry is an industry that produces air and gas filters. The gas filter industry has many production machines, one of which is CNC BTA16. This machine often has problems such as downtime that interfere with smooth production. The purpose of this study was to determine the problems in the CNC BTA16 production machine and provide recommendations for improvements to improve machine performance. The approach used is Total Productive Maintenance. Problem analysis was carried out through Focus Group Discussions with experts. The results showed that the cause of the engine is not optimal comes from abnormal heat in the gearbox on the engine spindle component caused by operator error when inputting data. The results of the calculation of the OEE value on the BTA16 CNC machine during the January – December 2021 period, the average OEE value was 73%. Suggested improvements are to make a special schedule for maintenance, check all speeches, and conduct training for employees to improve knowledge and skills.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the automotive industry was also followed by growth in subsidiary companies. One of the subsidiary companies is a company that produces auto parts such as wheels. Sales volume in 2021 increased to more than 2 million products while for 2022 to April it was more than 1 million products. High demand is not accommodated due to inadequate production capacity, one of which is the machining area. This study aims to increase efficiency by redesigning the layout of the factory which is considered to increase production results in the machining area. The method used in this research is Block Layout Overview with Computerized Planning using Logic and Algorithm (Blocplan). The results showed that the redesign of the machining area could reduce stagnation by adding 1 unit of multi drill machine. Relayout in the machining area can reduce 93” time stagnation for the K2SA rear ABS type which can produce 2 outputs at once. The delay in the machining area can be reduced from 4,863 seconds to 0 seconds.

Abstract

Value Stream Mapping (VSM) has become a valuable tool for decision-making and identifying opportunities for lean manufacturing practices. This study reviewed literature from various sources, including Google Scholar and Science Direct, to explore the application of VSM in different sectors of the manufacturing industry. The study used specific keywords, such as "Value Stream Mapping," "Manufacturing Industry," "Waste," and "Waiting Time" to identify relevant literature. The study analyzed 42 research papers published between 2017 and 2022 to examine the development and application of VSM in the manufacturing industry. VSM has been widely adopted in various industries such as automotive, food, and textile, among others, and has been used to create action plans that combine different lean techniques to achieve optimal results. The process of VSM involves two stages, which are describing the current and future conditions. From the descriptions, areas for improvement can be identified and developed to create a lean process. Based on the reviewed literature, VSM has been found to be highly effective in the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

Perhatian penuh terhadap kualitas sangatlah penting, agar pelanggan tidak beralih pada produk pesaing. Hal ini selalu dijalankan oleh Industri PCaG yang bergerak dalam bidang penghasil sepatu. Jika perusahaan memproduksi produk dengan kualitas yang tidak bagus, maka akan berpengaruh buruk pada image perusahaan tersebut yang akan semakin turun. Oleh karena itu penting untuk melakukan pengendalian kualitas disetiap proses produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan strategi perbaikan guna meningkatkan kualitas produk sepatu di Industri PCaG. Metode yang digunakan adalah Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve dan Control (DMAIC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk diperlukan strategi perbaikan yaitu mengadakan training untuk peningkatan skill pekerja, meningkatkan pengawasan oleh leader team ke operator yang sedang bekerja, pengawasan setiap hari selama 5 minutes meeting untuk mereview kesalahan yang terjadi pada kondisi abnormal, menegaskan dan sosialiasasi ke operator agar selalu mengikuti SOP, meningkatkan perawatan berkala pada mesin agar performa mesin tetap maksimal dan melakukan pergantian part pada komponen mesin yang kurang maksimal.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID -19 sedang berlangsung di Indonesia bahkan di seluruh penjuru dunia. Virus berbahaya yang berasal dari negara Cina ini sudah membuat aktivitas manusia mengalami perubahan besar. Aktivitas yang biasanya dikerjakan secara normal, saat ini harus dikerjakan dengan banyak keterbatasan seperti lockdown, menjaga jarak, menggunakan masker dan lain sebagainya. Ketaatan dan kepatuhan orang untuk mengendalikan tindakan dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan, sikap, dan psikologis dalam memutus rantai penyebaran COVID-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Psikologis terhadap Praktik Pencegahan COVID-19 di Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengisian kuesioner online yang diisi oleh masyarakat umum dengan metode analisis Structural Equation Modeling berbasis Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Variabel yang digunakan meliputi variabel Praktik Pencegahan (Y), variabel faktor Pengetahuan (X1), variabel faktor Sikap (X2) dan variabel faktor Psikologis (X3). Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa Praktik Pencegahan selama pandemi COVID-19 di Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa variabel Sikap tidak bepengaruh signifikan terhadap Praktik Pencegahan, sedangkan variabel Pengetahuan dan Psikologis berpengaruh terhadap Praktik Pencegahan COVID -19 secara signifikan.
