Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the ship agency performance towards the clearance of livestock ship at PT Serasi Shipping Indonesia. The methods used in the data analysis were simple linear regression and hypothesis testing method. The result of the analysis shows that there is a correlation between the ship agencies towards the clearance of livestock ship. Y= 9,800+0.407X. Based on the t-test analysis, in order to analyze the effect of the whole variables X to variables Y simultaneously, the result is 6,640. Therefore, t count > t table which is 6,640 > 1,701, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. As a result, there is a simple but strong and positive correlation between the performance of ship agencies towards clearance livestock ships with KP of 61.2%.

Abstract

PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (IPC) was born as a follow up of Law No.21 of 1992 regarding port business entity. PT. Pelindo II is one of the state-owned enterprises in the transportation sector engaged in the management and exploitation of public ports. The research objective is to find out how big the influence of quay container crane utilization and productivity of loading and unloading to effectiveness of container vessel. Analysis method used in this research was multiple linear regression analysis, multiple correlation analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, determinant coefficient and hypothesis test (f-test)The result of analysis and discussion between quay container crane utilization and container cargo loading productivity with effective time of container vessel is shown by equation of double linear regression line, that is Y = 10.673 + 0.209X1 - 0.056X2. The value of double correlation R = 0.713, there is a strong and undirectional relationship between independent and dependent variables. Pearson correlation test is worth 0.712, Test coefficient determinant equal to 48% means contribution of X1 and X2 to Y 50.8%, while 49.2% is another factor. From the result of F-test show that F count> F table (4,640> 4,26), hence Ho = rejected and Ha = accepted, there is influence between quay container crane utilization and loading and unloading productivity to effective time of container vessel.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of shuffling before loading to the containers’ loading speed. This research method used simple regression based on functional or causal relationship of one independent variable with one dependent variable. Simple linear regression analysis is a linear relation between one independent variable (X) with the dependent variable (Y). Koja Container Terminal is the first container terminal in Indonesia operated by both the government and private company that aimed at contributing to the growth of the country. There is a moderate relationship between variable X (shuffling before loading) to variable Y (container loading speed) at Koja Container Terminal in 2015 with r value of 0.561 based on coefficient interpretation with value 0.40-0,599.

Abstract

PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal is a subsidiary of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II, which was established specifically to serve the cargo vehicle, according to the demand from the automotive industry in Japan. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of utilization or the current flurry of loading and discharging activity in international docks at PT. Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal. By using qualitative methods and queue theory, is clearly visible that the utilization rate at the time of loading activity was 15% (p), 24.23 units / hour (λ), 144.84 units / hour (μ), while the utilization rate at the time of discharging activity by 10% (p), 12.99 units / hour (λ), 125.23 units / hour (μ). Its proves that the current utilization rate of loading and discharging activities in the international docks is low (under-utilized), so it needs to increase vehicle traffic in order to increase the utilization rate.

Abstract

Tarakan Port is a container terminal where goods are sent using containers. The objective of this research is to figure out and analyze whether in the following years the container terminal of Tarakan Port is capable of handling the ship and the container flow. The method in collecting the data were field research and library research. In this study, descriptive analysis was used as the method with trend analysis as its analysis tool. The result of the study shows that the container terminal of Tarakan Port is capable of serving the flow of the containers with the capacity of container crane and reach stacker in the amount of 156,555 box/year and 149,100 box/year.. However, the value of berth occupancy ratio (BOR) of this particular terminal exceeds beyond 40% of the value defined by UNCTAD (United Nations Conference On Trade And Development). It can be concluded that PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) as the service provider in Tarakan Port should add a number of docks and improve the facilities in order to serve the increasing of container flow in 2017-2018.
