Abstract

The integration of cultural context in mathematics teaching materials is a form of implementing ethnomathematics-based teaching. It is an effort of making mathematics learning easier and meaningful. This paper reports the effect of an ethnomathematics teaching material on students’ understanding of linear equations at the Department of Primary Education Universitas Syiah Kuala. 105 students participated in the study. Students’ understanding was assessed using a test. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative method. Students’ understanding of linear equation was analyzed based on 3 aspects of solving linear equation problems: correctly translate word problems into linear equation, perform calculation correctly, and give correct final answer. Results showed that more than 83% of the students could answer the test satisfactorily. Therefore, it is concluded that the implementation of the ethnomathematics teaching material helps students understand linear equation. This finding implies that the implementation of ethnomathematics teaching material is beneficial for mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the demonstration method on decorative picture material on the learning outcomes of third graders at SD Negeri Garot Aceh Besar. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental design (pre-experimental) with one group pre-and post-testing. The data collection approach uses tests (pretest and posttest). The population in this study were third-grade students at SD Negeri Garot Aceh Besar and the sampling strategy was purposive sampling. The sample of this study consisted of 30 students in class III-a. The threshold of significance = 0.05 and dk = N-1 = 29. From the data analysis, the t-count and t-table become 28.86 and 1.70. Therefore, H0 is rejected while H1 is approved. This study concludes that the application of the demonstration learning method has an effect on the learning outcomes of class IIIa students at SD Negeri Garot Aceh Besar on the decorative picture material

Abstract

The whole big problem that exists in Indonesia, the most often discussed is the lack of quality education. This condition can occur because of the inefficient teaching and learning process in schools. To be able to study the learning process by students, educators need to understand the basic concepts of learning as stated in Constitution Number 20 of 2003 Article 1 paragraph 1 concerning the national education system. This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of experimental research one group pretest post-test design. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students of SDN 1 Mata Ie Aceh Besar. The researcher's data collection technique used a test. Based on the results of the information, it can be seen that 1) the learning value of students with the peer tutor method is very influential. This was found by the researchers when giving test questions in the form of pretest and posttest. When the pretest questions were given, it was seen that only a few students had reached the KBM, while some of the others did not understand what FBP was. 2) After applying the peer tutoring method, the student's learning scores increased when they were given post-test questions. 3) when applying the peer tutoring method, students do not hesitate to ask their friends, and those who become tutors use language that is easily understood by their friends and students are able to answer the questions given. Thus, it is concluded that the peer tutoring method is one method that can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of FPB in grade IV SDN 1 Mata Ie Aceh Besar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the significance of the influence of PAKAPIN media on student learning outcomes on the additional material in class III SDN 1 Mata Ie Aceh Besar. The quantitative approach used in this research, the experiment is a type of research in the form of a one-shot case study. The sample in this research were all students of class III SDN 1 Mata Ie Aceh Besar totaling 22 people. The data collection technique in this research was a test in the form of an essay. The results of the research were analyzed using the right-hand t-test. The results showed that with a significant level of α= 0,05 and dk = (n-1) = (22-1) = 21 then the distribution list t with t(1- α)(n-1) = t(0,95)(21) is 1,72 because tcount  ttable that is 5,88 1,72. So based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that PAKAPIN media has an influence on student learning outcomes in additional to the material. Thus, H0 is rejected as H1 is accepted, so the hypothesis in this research states that “there is a significant influence of PAKAPIN media on student learning outcomes on the summation material in class III SDN 1 Mata Ie Aceh Besar.

Abstract

Student perception is the point of view and understanding of students on the material or information received by students when learning activities take place. The formulation of the problem in this study is how students perceive online learning during the covid-19 pandemic at State Elementary School 4 Banda Aceh City. This study expects to describe students' opinions on online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at State Elementary School 4 Banda Aceh. The approach used in this study is a qualitative, descriptive type of research. This research was conducted at the State Elementary School 4 Banda Aceh. The subjects in this study were students in grades 4a and 5a, totaling 64 students as well as teachers or homeroom teachers of grades 4a and 5a and 5 other teachers. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research on students through the questionnaire method, many students do not like online learning because they do not understand the material presented by the teacher and feel more comfortable with face-to-face learning. Likewise, according to the results of interviews with teachers, online learning is considered inefficient due to several obstacles including many students and parents of students who do not have gadgets (HP) so that teachers find it difficult to deliver learning materials. The results of the research of students and teachers of State Elementary School 4 Banda Aceh City showed students' perceptions of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at State Elementary School 4 Banda Aceh City in the 2020/2021 academic year in the good category with an overall percentage of 68%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by teachers who have not implemented an active learning model which results in learning not going well. At this time the world of work also demands changes in skills. communication skills, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation, these skills are important in entering 21st century life. The purpose of this research is to find out the Application of the Discovery Learning Model in Improving Class V 4C Skills in Theme 3 Sub-theme 1 at SDN 10 Banda aceh. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted at SDN 10 Banda Aceh, Banda Aceh City. The research subjects were class V (five) teachers and 28 students. Data collection techniques in this study were written tests, observations, and documentation. The results of this study are: 1) The application of the Discovery Learning model to improve learning outcomes in 4C skills class V on theme 3 sub-theme 1 at SDN 10 Banda Aceh has been well implemented, this is evidenced by the completeness of student learning outcomes which have increased from pre-cycle results with a percentage of 71.42%, increased to 78.57%, then in the second cycle it increased with a percentage of 96.42%. 2) Teacher activity in improving class V 4C skills on theme 3 sub-theme 1 for students at SDN 10 Banda Aceh is already very good, this can be proven by the results of observations of cycle I teacher activities during two meetings, the first meeting was in the good category, the both categories were good, then the results of observations of teacher activity cycle II increased more, namely during the two meetings the total score of the first meeting and both categories were very good. 3) The activities of students in improving the 4C skills of class V on theme 3 sub-theme 1 at SDN 10 Banda Aceh have been carried out very well, this can be seen from the results of observations of student activities in cycle I, the first meeting was in good category, the second meeting was in good category, then at the observation results of cycle II student activity increased more that is, the first meeting was very good category, the second meeting was very good category. The conclusion in this study is that the application of the discovery learning model to improve the 4C skills of fifth grade students on theme 3, sub-theme 1 at SDN 10 Banda Aceh is very good.

Abstract

Free Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) USK Superior is a new policy launched by Syiah Kuala University to support the national MBKM program. In the implementation of the USK Superior Independent Learning Campus (MBKM), there were many complaints from students because they experienced problems in the implementation process. This study aims to find out what obstacles students experience while participating in the USK Superior MBKM program at assigned schools. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive research type. The source of the data in this study were 2020 class students who had completed the USK. USK Superior MBKM program. The data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires by interviewing 10 students to find out what the student's problems were and distributing questionnaires to 40 students to find out how many students were experiencing problems. The data obtained were then analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques, namely data reduction (Data Reduction), data presentation (Data Display) and data conclusions/verification (Conclusion Drawing/Verification) as well as questionnaire calculations using Gutman Scale calculations. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the students' obstacles in participating in the USK Superior Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM), namely: (1) Assignments, students are burdened with giving assignments on the web page. (2) School parties who do not support students in implementing the program (3) Students who do not understand the material during the debriefing and do not contribute in groups (4) Fees given at the end of the assignment (5) The program coordinator who is not responsive in responding to student reports. While the results of the analysis of student response data obtained an average of 76.8%, which means that many PGSD FKIP USK students experienced problems when participating in the USK Superior MBKM program.AbstrakMerdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) USK Unggul merupakan kebijakan baru yang diluncurkan oleh Universitas Syiah Kuala untuk mendukung program MBKM nasional. Dalam pelaksanaan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) USK Unggul banyak keluhan dari mahasiswa karena mengalami kendala dalam proses pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kendala apa saja yang dialami oleh mahasiswa selama mengikuti program MBKM USK Unggul di sekolah penugasan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angakatan 2020 yang telah selesai mengikuti program MBKM USK USK Unggul. Teknik Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan angket dengan mewawancarai 10 mahasiswa untuk mengetahui apa saja kendala mahasiswa dan membagikan kuesioner kepada 40 mahasiswa untuk mengetahui seberapa banyak mahasiswa mengalami kendala. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif yaitu reduksi data (Data Reducation), penyajian data (Data Display) dan kesimpulan/verifikasi data (Conclusion Drawing/Verification) serta perhitungan kuesioner menggunakan perhitungan Skala Gutman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kendala mahasiswa dalam mengikuti progam Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) USK Unggul yaitu: (1) Penugasan, mahasiswa terbebani dengan pemberian tugas dilaman web. (2) Pihak Sekolah yang kurang mendukung mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan program (3) Mahasiswa yang kurang memahami materi saat pembekalan serta kurang berkontribusi dalam kelompok (4) Biaya yang diberikan diakhir penugasan (5) Pihak Koordniator program yang kurang responsif menganggapi laporan mahasiswa. Sementara dari hasil analisis data respon mahasiswa mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 76,8% yang artinya banyak mahasiswa PGSD FKIP USK yang mengalami kendala saat mengikuti progam MBKM USK Unggul.

Abstract

Bahan ajar merupakan suatu komponen penting dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara oleh kepala sekolah dan guru kelas V SD Negeri 22 Banda ditemukan masalah materi yang disajikan dalam buku paket belum memenuhi capaian pembelajaran, sehingga siswa merasa sulit memahami materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Salah satu upaya adalah mengembangkan e-modul berbasis flipbook maker yang menarik dan sesuai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan produk yang valid, praktikal, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, angket respon, observasi dan tes. Subjek dalam penelitian ini meliputi 40 siswa kelas V SD Negeri 22 Banda Aceh. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut.1) Hasil validasi ahli materi dan media diperoleh rata-rata 93%. 2) Hasil uji skala kecil observasi aktivitas siswa dan respon siswa rata-rata 92%. Dan hasil data uji skala luas observasi aktivitas siswa dan respon siswa rata-rata 91,5%. 3) Data keefektifan diperoleh dari hasil belajar siswa, sebanyak 100% siswa mendapatkan nilai tuntas KKM. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan e-modul berbasis flipbook maker untuk pembelajaran sistem pernapasan manusia dinyatakan valid, praktikal dan efektif digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.
