Abstract

Penulis menelusuri ide "fear of freedom" dari filosof Paulo Freire yang berbicara melalui bukunya yang berjudul Pedagogy of the Oppressed.

Abstract

Education is essentially a vehicle for honing students' critical and political attitudes in order to create a truly democratic society. Schools as formal educational institutions have so far been interpreted as successors to the status quo, but in fact the role of schools can be more meaningful, namely as a democratic public space, in which teachers play an important role as transformative intellectuals. In the context of transformation, teachers act as designers of classroom conditions and mentors for students to engage in critical dialogue that makes students aware of their current and future roles in a democratic society. Teachers can act as intellectuals when the school system provides opportunities for teachers to be different, create and innovate based on multicultural religions.

Abstract

This research aims to present the philosophy of materialism ontologically, epistemologically and axiologically when it encounters the life and axiology of Christian education management in the church, school and family as part of the Christian religious education space. The examination of civility, intrinsic self-value and inner beauty becomes less relevant when encountering something that is reached by the senses. They are located to the extent that they become morals. These morals are then examined in materialism as part of the purpose of education, especially Christian religious education. This research is a qualitative research with data search techniques through secondary sources, namely through recent journals as part of current research. The results of the study show the relationship between the philosophy of management, education, educational management and educational management insofar as it can be reached by the five senses and approves its integration with management that does not merely speak in abstract space or transcendence.

Transforming Christian Religious Education through Philosophical Progressivism: Improving the Quality of Education and Relevance to the Contemporary Era. This research aims to examine the concept of philosophical progressivism and its application in Christian religious education in the contemporary era. The concept of philosophical progressivism has basic principles that are consistent with the goals of Christian religious education, namely to provide a holistic and critical understanding of Christianity and the surrounding environment. The results show that the application of philosophical progressivism in Christian religious education can improve the quality of education and relevance to the contemporary era. However, there are some challenges and obstacles that need to be overcome in its application. Therefore, teachers as implementers of Christian religious education need to pay attention to the basic principles of philosophical progressivism and be able to apply them in learning. This research is expected to provide recommendations for the development of Christian religious education curriculum in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the development and experience of Sunday School teachers in terms of teaching. The authors analyze and describe from the perspective of Immanuel Kant. The opinion put forward by Kant is that morality comes from humans, there is an urge to be obligatory in an action. The research method used is phenomenological quantitative research method and analysis of journals. Kant's rational criticism has great potential in the teaching experience of Sunday school teachers, because basically Kant wants to provide God's workers with an understanding to understand the teachings of a religion with their own morals and logic, in order for the experience gained to have an impact on the surrounding environment and bring good changes to everyone.
