Abstract

Higher education institutions should guarantee student satisfaction, not only in academic services such as the teaching and learning process, but also include administrative services, administrative and academic processes. This study aims to determine and analyze the quality of service, determine and analyze the performance of academic administrative employees, determine and analyze the level of student satisfaction, determine the effect of service quality and academic staff performance on student satisfaction at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Science and Law, Universitas Negeri Makassar. The research method used is causal associative quantitative type, the total population is 4. 588 with a research sample of 98 respondents. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, observation, and documentation with data analysis using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The effect of service quality and performance of administrative staff on student satisfaction is 53.10%. The magnitude of the effect is 53.10%, indicating that service quality and performance affect student satisfaction at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FIS-H), Universitas Negeri Makassar, other factors contribute 46.90 percent to student satisfaction.

Abstract

The inter-religious conflict began in Poso Regency on December 24, 1998. The incident occurred because of clashes between youths of different religions. The research aims to analyze the communication strategy of governing council members as opinion leaders in managing various religious conflicts in Poso Regency. Qualitative research methods using observation data collection techniques and in-depth interviews. Data analysis uses the perspective of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of the study show that the communication strategy of government members of the legislature in preventing conflict in Poso Regency, namely messages conveyed to the public, must be more rational and easy to understand, such as using local accents or languages; showing mutual respect by visiting religious holidays such as Christmas and Eid; helping each other in building houses of worship, trying to calm the community if further conflicts occur and being able to cooperate with the media; and coordinating with community leaders, students, local government (Bupati) and police agencies

Abstract

Earthquakes not only affect material losses, but also affect the socioeconomic lives of widowed women forcing them to act rationally to survive and avoid the threat of poverty. The study aims to analyze the impact of earthquake natural disasters with rational actions of widowed women after the earthquake disaster in Palu City. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through limited observation, in-depth interviews, FGDs and document studies so as to obtain primary and secondary data. Informants were purposively selected as many as 6 people. The data is analyzed interpretively. The validity of the data is done through triangulation. The results showed that in the face of poor post-disaster socioeconomic conditions, there are five models of strategies or rational survival actions carried out by widowed women, namely, borrowing business capital, building an entrepreneurial career, finding a new job, becoming a daily freelancer, and getting married. The forms of rational action carried out by widows are instrumental rational actions, value rationality actions and effective rational actions. It suggested the importance of socio-economic empowerment of widowed women appropriately and sustainably.
