Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh stress terhadap intensi turnover melalui mediasi burnout SDM keperawatan selama pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode crossectional survey, dengan populasi perawat Covid-19 di 6 Rumah Sakit rujukan Covid-19 di Sumatera Barat dan sampel yang berjumlah 235 perawat dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data diambil dengan mengunakan kuesioner OSI-R TM (Occupational Stress Inventory- Revised Edition), kuesioner MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory), dan kuesioner TIS (Turnover Intention Scale) yang disebar menggunakan whatsapp melalui link googleform. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan SPSS untuk deskriptif dan SEM PLS untuk melihat pengaruh antar variabel. Hasil penelitian di 6 Rumah Sakit menunjukan 68.1% perawat merasakan stress kategori sedang, 82.1% perawat merasakan burnout kategori sedang dan intensi turnover perawat berada pada kategori sedang yaitu 97%. Penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signfikan antara stress terhadap burnout perawat, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara stress terhadap intensi turnover, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara stress terhadap intensi turnover yang dimediasi oleh bunout.

Abstract

Nurses' continuous contribution to patient health makes them prone to occupational stress, which has been exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Occupational stress that lasts for a long time and is not resolved may cause burnout. Burnout experienced by nurses can impact patients, hospital services, and themselves. This study aimed to determine the effect of occupational stress on the incidence of nurse burnout during the COVID-19 pandemic. It used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study sample was 235 nurses in six COVID-19 referral hospitals in West Sumatra from a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected using a digital questionnaire distributed via a Google Forms link from February to April 2022. The results showed that the stress level of nurses was most commonly moderate (68.1%), and the burnout level was most commonly low (82.1%), with a significant effect of occupational stress on burnout. This study reveals the effect of occupational stress on the burnout of nurses treating COVID-19 patients.

Abstract

Abstract

Nurses frequently utilize social media in their professional activities in the digital era. However, there are concerns that some nurses engage in behaviours that breach ethical and legal standards when using social media, potentially impacting patient safety and legal repercussions. One approach to mitigate these impacts is through digital literacy training. This training aims to enhance nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in responsibly utilizing social media for improved patient care. The training was delivered in lectures, simulations, and case studies over 8 hours. A total of 38 nurses participated in this training. After attending the training, the nurses' knowledge scores improved from 24% to 88%. Additionally, their attitudes towards the use of social media showed a positive increase, with 96.4% having a positive attitude post-training. Competence in using social media also improved, from 63.43% to 84.6%. Digital literacy training is vital in enhancing nurses' understanding and proficiency in using social media ethically and responsibly.
