Abstract

Course scheduling problem belongs to the category of NP - hard (Non - deterministic polynomial - time complex). The complexity of solving course scheduling problems give an indication to the limits of the constraints to the problem. The application of evolutionary algorithms with Generation Replacement Methods on Course scheduling problem (Case Study of the University of Atma Jaya Makassar) can give an indication on the problem of scheduling constraints that limit each faklutas at Atma Jaya University, Makassar. Simulation results showed that scheduling constraints limit in any faculty at the University of Atma jaya Makassar depends on the size of the population space and the number of genes that are raised to fill the space where the population or chromosome problem complexity increases with introduction of restrictions on the scheduling of such sessions , space , semester and faculty and computational complexity of the problem requires greater resources in line with the increasing restrictions being introduced.

Abstract

Course scheduling problem belongs to the category of NP - hard (Non - deterministic polynomial - time complex). The complexity of solving course scheduling problems give an indication to the limits of the constraintsto the problem. This research focusses on the development of applicable course scheduling program at University of Atma Jaya Makassar. The problem with the previous scheduling program can not be implemented to prodcecourse schedule because there are some additional factors that affect the scheduling process at the University of Atma Jaya Makassar. The development was done by adjusting the scheduling process currently used to program scheduling course. The end result of this research is a scheduling program course at the University of Atma Jaya Makassar to overcome certain problems lecture schedule and can distribute the load of the course each semester in one week.

Abstract

Today, Indonesian people are not interested in learning and abandon their own culture. This is because Indonesian people have been influenced with technology and culture from another country. A cultural reading of Indonesian people are also still very low. This research designed to make application for learning about culture, especially traditional house South Sulawesi by implement Augmented Reality on a book as one of technology to help Indonesian people in studying the culture of traditional house South Sulawesi. An interactive display allows Indonesian people to interested in studying and obtain information with this application. The result of this research is the application for learning about culture traditional house South Sulawesi and book as one of the forms of learning media. With this research, Indonesian people can be helped to obtain information and learn culture of traditional house South Sulawesi with book as one of the forms of learning media. This application is designed by using and implement Augmented Reality technology with Marker-Based method.

Abstract

One of the challenges faced by in managing information in a city is how to structure the various kind of data in many different forms to be easily access and shared among the coummunity. One important aspect of public service for a city is the accessibility of information. This research focuses on the design of a structured method which has several stages of analysis to solve the problem of the need for information about the city of Makassar. The results of this study to help the community in order to more easily obtain information about the datails of Makassar city, and provide the opportunity for the agencies working together to promote their businesss.

Abstract

With the issuance of PP No. 19 In 2005, Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) has become an necessity for an higher education institution that aims to achieve continuous improvement. Most colleges including Universitas Atma Jaya Makassar has implemented a model of management and control system for academic process by relying on the outcome of process, not the concurrent of the process itself. In order to achieve continuous improvement, the quality assurance system needs a control system that not only rely on the outcome but more important is the implementation the process itself. This research aims to develop a prototype model of management and control system of academic process that focuses on the monitoring and evaluating function of the academic process, especially the academic process which runs at the University of Atma Jaya Makassar. This research uses UML methodology based on object-oriented approach to take advantage on computer networks as the supporting technology. The prototype model of the resulting system will help facilitate the implementation and quality assurance of academic process through increased control and evaluation function in a structured academic process and in real time.

Abstract

Learning management system, as part of higher education governance, is the process of organizing, planning and supervising the implementation of curriculum in order to achieve the learning objective (LO). PP No. 19 in 2005 and No. 32 in 2013 set the standard for higher education governance quality assurance systems where Internal Quality Assurance System is requiredfor higher education institutions that aim to achieve continuous improvement. The main problem in implementing internal quality assurance is that to achieve continual improvement we need an effective supervision that not only can provide data on the results of implementation but more importantly is the data to the process itself. Generally universities has implemented a system of governance and supervision that rely on the outcome of the process but not how the process done. Meanwhile, in order to achieve continuous improvement required a monitoring and evaluation system that does not rely solely on the output but also data from process. This research aims to develop a system of governance with data and information services to the passage of the academic process, especially at the University of Atma Jaya Makassar. This study uses an object oriented approach with UML design method by utilizing the computer network architecture for wireless and mobile technology as key technology. This research produced a system with the ability to monitor the passage of the lecturing process in realtime in order to improve monitoring, evaluation and quality processes in a structured lectures and concurrent transparent, accountable and responsive.

Abstract

This research are focused on designing systems that can perform data collection and the search report container.PT Pelabuhan Indonesa IV (Persero) Container Terminal Unit is a service company that is engaged in loading and unloading activities include stevedoring, cargodoring, and receiving / delivery.One of the causes of his old dwelling time at PT Pelabuhan Indonesa IV (Persero) Unit Container Terminal is inaccurate planning laying containers. This research uses a method of designing Rapid Application Development (RAD). Result of the research is a model system that can provide transparent information on the placement of the container in order to tracking the dwelling time.

Abstract

Universities have the autonomy to manage themselves which regulates the planning, supervision, monitoring and evaluation systems to achieve the goals of higher education. One standard set in higher education is the application of information technology in the higher education governance system. In providing higher education sevices, University of Atma Jaya Makassar has utilized the application of information and communication technology infrastructure through the development of an Academic Information System (SIAMIK) and other supporting systems. The development of the lecture process management system (STKP) at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Atma Jaya Makassar shows that the development has been able to integrate the supervisory function in the implementation of the lecture process by introducing the value of transparency and accountability. The STKP can provide convenience in evaluating the performance of study programs in the ongoing lecture process. The main objective of this research is to develop a system of supervision and integrated information services. With the information service study program can help universities, especially the information technology faculty in improving performance in the lecture process that is useful for lecturers, academic supervisors, study program chairmen and deans of the Faculty.

Abstract

The main goal of this thesis is to develop a mobile-based course monitoring system at Atma Jaya Makassar University Faculty of Information Technology, which focuses on feedback services for stakeholders. This research was carried out using waterfall methodology, which consists of a number of stages carried out systematically. Through this research, it is known that the mobile-based feedback service can improve the monitoring function in lecturing process through transparency and availability of information for stakeholders, as well as feedback to be evaluated in conducting lectures.

Abstract

Based on PP No. 4 year 2014, college is a unit of organized higher education. In Providence, the College has the autonomy to manage their own institution comprising the system setting, planning, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation to achieve the goals of higher education. Atma Jaya University Makassar (UAJM) as one of the higher education has been harnessing information and communication technology infrastructure such as SIAMIK and other supporting systems. The Lecture Process Management System is a support system that has been developed. This system is part of the supervision system of the lecture at Atma Jaya University Makassar. Based on the results of the simulation test, it was found that the service interface of the Lecture Management System tablet PC was still difficult to use due to the coding structure carried out and the involvement of different teams. This study aims to update the data structure and interface of the java platform for the services of the Lecture System on the tablet PC system, update the audio and video data acquisition modules and engineer interaction services on the lecture digital attendance module. The development method used is the waterfall design approach with the UML method. System reengineering methods are used to understand the system and concept of the Model-View-Controller architecture that encapsulates data along with processing (model), isolates it from the manipulation process (controller) and display (view) to be represented on a user interface. The results of the research are that the system that has been reengineered and integrated with SIAMIK can help lecturers and chairman of the study program in planning, implementing and supervising student academic activities at FTI-UAJM.
