Abstract

This research is a research and development which aims toproduce valid biology tutorial video learning media. This research was conducted using a 4D development model from Thiagarajan, with the Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate stages involving two expert validators and one practitioner validator. The instrument used is a validation instrument sheet. The data collection technique is that the validation sheet is distributed to the validator to get the value of the validation of the development of learning media. The data obtained were analyzed using the validity criteria according to Yamasari. The results of the study indicate that the -based learning mediaCamtasia Studio software has high validity. The results of the media validity research are shown based on hthe validation results from expert and practitioner validators are the average value of validity for the material aspect 3.82 = valid and the average value of validity for the media format aspect is 3.78 = valid. The average value of the total validity of Camtasia Studio is RTV = 3.80 and is included in the valid category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Camtasia Studio-based learning media produced is valid so that it is feasible to use.

Abstract

Learning resources and teaching materials are important components in the lecture process. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Retrieval of data using observation and questionnaire techniques. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the results of the questionnaire on the needs of teaching materials as one of the main learning resources for students. Respondents were 47 students from Makassar State University. The research instrument used a questionnaire for teaching materials for plant ecology courses which were presented via the Google form platform. Data collection was carried out by distributing teaching material needs questionnaires to students who were programming plant ecology courses and to students programming plant ecology courses. The data analysis technique is by describing the results of the questionnaire for the needs of teaching materials for plant ecology courses, which are analyzed in detail. The results of this study are 1) Learning resources used in plant ecology courses generally use the internet, 2) Plant ecology material is difficult to understand, 3) Learning resources needed for plant ecology courses are in the form of modules, 4) Development of modules as eye learning resources plant ecology lectures need to be done. The results of the analysis are expected to be used as a basis for making teaching materials and developing teaching modules in plant ecology courses.

Abstract

Assessment is a whole process that is generally used in assessing and reviewing student performance, both in terms of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Assessment is the process of collecting data that shows the development of student learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method by collecting data through literature study. The results of the study stated that authentic assessment aims to measure student development in affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. The independent learning curriculum has learning content that is summarized to be more optimal, so that students have sufficient time to explore concepts and strengthen the competencies possessed by students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Pop Up Book Media in science learning. This study is a qualitative research in the form of literature studies. The articles reviewed in this study are articles sourced from accredited journals of at least SINTA 4 published in 2023,2022,2021,2020, and 2019. There are 40 articles collected, but only 20 articles are considered relevant to the focus of this study. 20 this article and all articles related to media Pop up Book on learning science or science content. In this study it was found that the use of Creative Learning media such as Pop Up Book media has a positive impact on the learning process. Pop Up Book Media can improve learning outcomes and can train high-level thinking skills in learners. In addition, it was also found that Pop-Up Book media can provide cognitive reinforcement and increase learner motivation. In certain cases it was found that Pop Up Book media can help improve the understanding of students who have limitations related to science content. In this study it was also found that Pop up Book Learning media can be used in various learning models and can support the scientific literacy of learners.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze student needs for teaching materials in plant anatomy courses. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with research subjects being students majoring in biology in science class in the third semester consisting of 32 students. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires for plant anatomy course teaching materials to respondents, in this case students who were programming plant anatomy courses. The data analysis technique is by describing the results of the questionnaire data for student teaching materials in plant anatomy courses in detail. The results of this study are: 1). Learning resources that are generally used by students in the plant anatomy lecture process are sourced from lecturer power point slides, 2). The types of teaching materials needed/desired by students are generally in the form of textbooks on plant anatomy, 3). Sub-chapter material in the course that is easy for students to understand is meristem tissue, parenchyma tissue, collenchyma tissue and sclerenchyma tissue, 4). Sub-chapter material in plant anatomy courses that students find difficult to understand is xylem and phloem tissue. This research is expected to be a reference for the development of teaching materials and the development of learning media in plant anatomy courses.

Abstract

Orang tua memiliki peran penting dalam mendidik anak-anaknya. Setiap generasi memiliki sikap dan kepribadian yang berbeda-beda bergantung pada perubahan zaman. Generasi Alfa merupakan generasi yang lahir pada tahun 2010 sampai tahun 2025. Kehidupan Generasi Alfa tidak luput dari perkembangan teknologi dan digital. Perkembangan teknologi dan digital dapat dimanfaatkan oleh orang tua dalam mendidik Generasi Alfa. Berdasarkan hasil sosialisasi dan diskusi bersama orang tua Generasi Alfa di SDN Batulaccu Makassar, kakek/nenek yang berasal dari generasi baby boomer dan Generasi X cenderung mendidik cucunya dengan memanjakan setiap keinginan dari cucu, tapi dilakukan melalui kontrol orang tua. Sedangkan orang tua (generasi Y dan generasi Z) mendidik anak mereka dengan lebih disiplin, teratur, dan patuh terhadap orang tua. Penggunaan teknologi digital dalam mendidik anak memudahkan para orang tua untuk saling berkomunikasi dan bersosialisasi. Komunikasi dapat dengan mudah dilakukan oleh orang tua pada zaman serba instan ini melalui via daring atau internet. Meskipun zaman telah berubah, kita tetap harus mengajarkan anak pendidikan karakter, sikap, dan norma-norma yang ada dalam kehidupan. Keterbatasan orang tua dalam memahami penggunaan teknologi membuat mereka perlu mengambil peran secara nyata untuk mengasuh dan mendidik anak. Anak-anak generasi alfa jauh lebih melek dalam menggunakan teknologi disbanding generasi sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu, kita sebagai orang tua perlu menyeimbangkan penggunaan teknologi dengan membuat aktivitas fisik yang menyenangkan dan menarik bagi anak.

Abstract

Literasi numerasi merupakan pemahaman tentang penggunaan simbol dan angka matematika dalam memecahkan masalah yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Menurut hasil PISA yang dirilis OECD pada tahun 2018, tingkat literasi numerasi Indonesia berada pada peringkat 74 dari 79 negara, yang menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi numerasi di Indonesia masih sangat rendah. Banyak faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan literasi numerasi, seperti kemampuan dalam memecahkan masalah matematika dan kemampuan literasi peserta didik.Selain itu, banyak siswa Sekolah Dasar kurang memiliki motivasi dalam membaca dan berhitung. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan literasi dan numerasi siswa melalui program pojok baca. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian adalah siswa SD Negeri Pampang. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan pendampingan, meliputi prosedur kegiatan survey, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pembelajaran, dan evaluasi. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan program “Pojok Baca” dapat meningkatkan kemandirian siswa sebesar 65%, serta meningkatkan kemampuan literasi-numerasi meningkat sebesar 55%. Kegiatan program “Pojok Baca” dapat ditindaklanjuti sebagai program pojok digital sebagai upaya pengembangan literasi digital. Kata Kunci: Pojok baca, literasi, numerasi

Abstract

This research aims to determine the types of plant species found in the FMIPA UNM environment which can be used as learning resources in higher plant botany courses. This research was carried out in the FMIPA UNM environment from August to October 2023. Exploration and documentation of plants was carried out from September to October 2023. The target of this research was higher plant species including angiosperms and gymnosperms found in the FMIPA UNM environment. This research uses descriptive analytical methods. The data collection technique was carried out exploratively. The results of the research show that there are more than ninety-seven plant species found in the FMIPA UNM environment originating from fifty-five families originating from the plant groups angiosperms (closed seed plants) and gymnosperms (open seed plants), where these plants can used as a learning resource in higher plant botany courses. Abstract

Household waste is daily waste generated by every household. Housel hold waste generated can be in the form of organic waste or inorganic waste. Which are difficult to decompose in the environment, such as plastic and cans. Oen way to utilize and process organic waste is through the manufacture of compost using a simple composter. This socialization activity and training on composting was carried out in Tritiro village, Bulukumba. The community service partners are housewives who live in Tritiro Village, Samboang District, Bulukuma Regency. This activity begins with counseling and outreach activities regarding compost, then training on the process of making compost from household waste. Abstract

Air merupakan sumber bagi kehidupan bagi manusia sebab dapat digunakan untuk menunjang kebutuhan sehari-hari yang menjadi kebutuhan dasar manusia. Meningkatnya populasi manusia akan membuat kebutuhan terhadap air bersih juga meningkat. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas air dan kuantitas air bersih, yaitu dengan melakukan proses penjernihan air melalui teknik filtrasi. Teknik filtrasi atau penyaringan adalah teknik pengolahan air yang diterapkan dengan bantuan media filter seperti pasir misalnya silika, antrasit, senyawa kimia atau mineral seperti kapur, zeolit, karbon aktif, resin, ion exchange, membran, biofilter atau teknik filtrasi lainnya. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendaur ulang air kotor atau limbah menjadi air bersih supaya dapat digunakan kembali untuk kegiatan sehari-hari. Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini, dilakukan edukasi praktikum menggunakan filter air sederhana pada peserta didik di Madrasah Arifah Gowa. Masing-masing media tersebut memiliki kegunaan pada proses penjernihan air. Pasir silika berfungsi untuk menghilangkan kekeruhan dan memerangkap kotoran pada sampel air. Arang aktif berfungsi untuk menghilangkan bau dan warna. Ijuk berfungsi untuk menyaring partikel yang lolos pada lapisan sebelumnya dan meratakan aliran air. Sementara kertas saring berfungsi untuk memaksimalkan proses penjernihan air dan mempercepat aliran air. Semakin tebal dan semakin banyak bahan yang digunakan maka air kotor yang disaring akan lebih bersih dari sebelumnya, karena kotoran yang terdapat dalam air telah tersaring pada bahan-bahan yang digunakan, hasil penyaringan ini dikarenakan ketebalan bahannya tebal, sehingga air yang tersaring lebih jernih.
