Abstract

Tourism is the largest industry and the leading sector of multidimensional development that attracts attention to be developed by many archipelagic countries and regions. Marine ecotourism architecture is the right choice to be developed in an integrated manner based on its components in the form of attractions, accessibility, accommodation, amenities, and tourism, which is abbreviated as 5A tourism. This research article describes an architectural model prototype for marine ecotourism development based on Google SketchUp and Lumion Island Larea-rea as a marine tourism destination in the East Coast Region of South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. This type of Research and Development applies the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) approach. Observation and interview techniques were used in field research to collect data and information which were analyzed descriptively. The results of the research in the form of a prototype architectural model design for developing Larea-rea Island tourism destinations based on 5A show natural and well-maintained ecological attractions because the white sand beaches have not been polluted with clear seawater and natural coral reefs. The architectural concept of marine ecotourism is a miniature island tourism destination that has an attraction in the form of a miniature mangrove forest to prevent beach abrasion and the local cultural theme amenity is reflected in the architecture of "Rumah Sembilan" where on the roof side adapts the design of the traditional Karampuang house. In other words, this marine ecotourism design applies the architectural theme of a recreational environment based on the micro-ecological concept as a building design, the marine adaptive micro-concept as the background, and the pragmatic micro-concept as a regional spatial layout.

The context dimension shows that the Makassar Recover program for health immunity and social adaptation is running optimally, but the economic recovery program is showing suboptimal results. The input dimension indicates the availability of human resources and budget. The process dimension shows that the Makassar Recover program is carried out according to standard operating procedures and strict regulations. The product dimension shows that the Makassar Recover program has produced a synergy between the role of the community and the government in overcoming the impact of the Covid-19 virus and social adaptation, but economic recovery has not shown satisfactory results. The determinant factors in this study indicate the existence of strict regulations, resources which include the quality of human resources and budgets, as well as culture in realizing Makassar Recover in Makassar City.

Abstract

Order and architectural beauty are preconditions or the basis for the competitiveness of sustainable tourism destinations in many regions around the world. Appreciation of order and architectural beauty is an old approach that needs to be re-actualized in the context of developing an integrated tourism component based on local competencies. Qualitative research with a phenomenological approach explains the noumena (meaning) behind the phenomena (facts) regarding order and the beauty of natural and artificial socio-technical architecture in tourism destinations in Tana Toraja Indonesia. The results of the study found that there are works of natural architecture that are orderly (ordered) and beautiful and have symbolic meaning as a result of the creation of God Almighty so that they are used as preconditions or the basis for the competitiveness of tourism destinations in Tana Toraja. Appreciation and articulation of basic values and noumena value orientations behind natural and artificial architectural phenomena are reflected in the order and beauty of nature and the environment of the tourism destinations being studied. Order and the beauty of natural and artificial architecture are the results of the creation of God Almighty as a comparative advantage and the result of the creativity and innovation of local community members with added value as a precondition or basis for the competitiveness of sustainable tourism destinations.

The findings highlight that embracing digital marketing strategies can significantly contribute to improving communication outcomes in public organizations. By leveraging various digital channels such as social media, email marketing, search engine optimization, and content marketing, public organizations can establish stronger connections with citizens, disseminate information more efficiently, and increase public engagement. Furthermore, the study identifies several challenges that hinder the adoption of digital marketing in public organizations, including limited resources, organizational culture, and regulatory constraints. Overcoming these challenges requires a comprehensive strategy encompassing leadership commitment, capacity building, collaboration with digital marketing experts, and the development of clear guidelines and policies. This research emphasizes the need for public organizations in Indonesia to recognize and harness the potential of digital marketing to enhance communication effectiveness. By embracing digital marketing strategies, public organizations can establish themselves as transparent, accessible, and responsive entities, fostering citizen trust, participation, and ultimately contributing to better public services and governance..

Abstract

The socio-technical architecture of constructing a community's traditional house is a zine-qua-non at the locus of developing tourism destinations in several areas worldwide. A socio-technical system is an old approach that is realigned with developing integrated tourism components, especially various tourist attractions based on local cultural treasures. The results of this qualitative research with a phenomenological approach analyze and explain the noumena (meaning) behind the phenomena (facts) regarding socio-technical architecture based on Tongkonan traditional houses in Tana Toraja, Indonesia. The study results found that architectural works are full of symbolic meaning in constructing Tongkonan traditional houses. The crystallization of basic values and value orientation as the noumena (meaning) behind the socio-technical architectural phenomenon of the Tongkonan traditional house that stands upright is because five pillars support it as a representation of 5A (Attractions, Accessibility, Accommodation, Amenity, Ansilarity) as a component of tourism development. The Tongkonan roof model, which at first glance looks like a person praying by raising their hands up or to God, the Creator of the universe, is proof of the basic values and orientation of the socio-cultural and spiritual values of the Toraja people. The image of a rooster, sun, and arrangement of horns mounted on the Tongkonan wall proves the rich treasures of local socio-cultural life (local wisdom, local genius) of the local community as a result of creativity and innovation that sustainably has value.
