Memanfaatkan bahan yang ada di lingkungan sekitar untuk budidaya jamur merang merupakan solusi alternatif sebagai media tumbuh jamur merang. Keberadaan alang-alang yang melimpah dapat dijadikan media subtitusi jamur merang mengingat kualitas jerami padi menurun akibat panen menggunakan mesin. Penggunaan alang-alang sebagai media subtitusi jamur merang dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi alang-alang yang terbaik bagi jamur merang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Pasirmulya, Kecamatan Majalaya, Kabupaten Karawang. Pada bulan April sampai Mei 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan 5 ulangan. Terdapat 6 perlakuan mandiri yaitu A (100% jerami padi), B (90% jerami padi + 10% alang-alang), C (80% jerami padi + 20 % alang-alang), D (70% jerami padi + 30% alang-alang), E (60% jerami padi + 40% alang-alang), F (50% jerami padi + 50% alang +alang) sehingga terdapat 30 unit percobaan. Pengaruh perlakuan dianalisis dengan sidik ragam dan apabila uji F taraf 5% signifikan, maka dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) pada taraf 5% untuk mengetahui perlakuan terbaik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh nyata berbagai komposisi alang-alang terhadap bobot total panen satu periode tanam dan intensitas lama panen satu periode tanam. Perlakuan B (90% jerami padi + 10% alang-alang) memberikan hasil tertinggi pada bobot total panen satu periode tanam (2.06 kg) dan perlakuan D memberikan hasil tertinggi pada intensitas lama panen satu periode tanam (15,80 hari). ABSTRACT Utilizing existing materials in the surrounding environment for straw mushroom cultivation is an alternative solution as a medium for straw mushroom growth. The abundance of reeds can be used as a substitute for straw mushrooms, considering that the quality of rice straw has decreased due to harvesting using machines. The use of reeds as a substitute medium for straw mushrooms in this study aims to determine the best composition of reeds for straw mushrooms..The research was conducted in Pasirmulya Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency. From April to May 2022. The research method used was a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 5 replications. There were 6 independent treatments, namely A (100% rice straw), B (90% rice straw + 10% reeds), C (80% rice straw + 20% reeds), D (70% rice straw + 30% reeds), E (60% rice straw + 40% reeds), F (50% rice straw + 50% reeds + reeds) so that there were 30 experimental units. The treatment effect was analyzed using variance and if the F test at 5% level was significant, then continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) further test at 5% level to find out the best treatment. The results showed a significant effect on various compositions of reeds on total weight of harvest for one planting period and intensity of harvest time for one planting period. Treatment B (90% rice straw + 10% reeds) gave the highest yield on total harvest weight. one planting period (2.06 kg) and treatment D (70% rice straw + 30% reeds) gave the highest yield on harvesting intensity for one planting period (15.80 days).
