Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a valid and practical Arabic grammar e-worksheet for university students based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The research type is Research & Development (R&D) with the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model. Research data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained from the validity and practicality questionnaires were tabulated for each component of the assessment and then the average score was calculated and converted into qualitative data. Documentation technique is done by analyzing documents in the form of syllabus, materials, and literatures. The results of this research and development show that the developed Arabic grammar e-worksheet is stated to be very valid with an average validity score of 4.35 and very practical with an average practicality score of 4.8. Based on the results, it is hoped that the lecturers will be able to use the developed e-worksheet in the Arabic grammar course, because it can facilitate students' higher-level thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how the approach to curriculum development of the Arabic language department at Batusankar State Islamic University, implementation of Arabic curricula in MTs / West Sumatra, relationship of the Arabic language curriculum of Batusankar State Islamic University with the achievement of the objectives of the Arabic curricula MTs / in West Sumatra. This research uses a qualitative design, with a multi-faceted approach to discuss the synchronization of the curricula of Arabic education departments with Arabic language teaching in MTs/ in West Sumatra and then obtaining this research data using documentation, observation and in-depth interview techniques. Then validate the data correctly, constraints by triangulating the data. The results showed that the curriculum of the Arabic language department at Batusankar State Islamic University is the result of "institutional union" respectively, not "structural union". The “institutional” results development model is called the grass-roots model with an academic subject approach. The Arab Curriculum Development Model for West Sumatra District Managers follows a “linear pillars” or “top-down” line of command procedure. The implementation plan for the implementation of the Arab curriculum for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is implemented by Salbous and the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) / preparation and implementation of a curriculum that cannot be separated. So that its maintenance is considered a unified unit. Then between the curriculum of the State Islamic University of Batusankar, the achievement of the objectives of the Arabic curricula, the MTs / middle school in West Sumatra has a relevant relationship.Keywords: approach to curriculum, curriculum of the Arabic language, The Arab Curriculum

Abstract

TikTok is an application that many people love; Tiktok contains many information and videos that attract its users' attention—starting from children, teenagers, adults, and even the elderly. Because this Tiktok application can be used in any circle, this Tiktok application is effortless to access via cellphones or other devices such as laptops, tablets, and computers. The use of the Tiktok application is the largest in the world because Tiktok is very much in demand, and the way to use it is effortless, so that most people can use this Tiktok application. This research aims to discuss problems in using the Tiktok application and its role in life. In this case, it also discusses the impact of the Tiktok application, both positive and negative effects, and its influence on achievement and motivation to study in tertiary institutions. Researchers use the quantitative method, carried out by way of researchers distributing Google forms to students and the community. Then the researchers also conducted several interviews directly with students at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The results of the study show that the majority think that the use of the Tiktok application in college is very much in demand and has many positive values ??contained in it. The drawbacks of this research are that not many interviews were conducted with other parties, and the researchers only focused on students. Therefore, further research is expected to be more complete.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Stick Figure media on students’ Arabic writing skills at MTsN 3 Tanah Datar. The researcher used an experimental research method with a quasi-experimental Posttest Only Nonequivalent Control Group design. The sample of the research was 54 students chosen at random, who were then divided into two groups: the experimental group of 27 students and the control group of 27 students. Data collection technique was a test. Each group received a pre and post test.The t test was used to analyze the data. Based on the research findings, to is greater than tt, namely 0.46> 0.273, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the use of Stick Figures media has an effect on students' Arabic writing skills at MTsN 3 Tanah Datar. As a result, the use of Stick Figure media in particular, and instructional media in general, can have an impact on students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, Arabic teachers are expected to always select and use appropriate media when teaching Arabic.

Abstract

This study aims to find out experts’ point of view about the reality of Nahwu learning by Arabic students in Islamic Colleges. Qualitative method was used in this research. The data were collected by interviewing several experts in Arabic language. Results showed that the purpose of Nahwu learning is not only to have the ability in understanding nahwu, but also to apply it in Arabic texts and to communicate; the characteristics of nahwu materials should be easy, simple, realistic, communicative, in stages, cognitive and functional; the method of learning is group work, peer learning, integrative texts, active learning, and communicative method; the media for learning are audio, visual, and audio visual; evaluation is done by implementing nahwu rules to construct and transform sentences, giving syakl on texts, and explaining the position of words in sentences. According to the experts, the ideal nahwu learning will help students to develop the four language skills.
