Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal tipe Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada materi trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripsi kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kandangserang. Pemilihan subjek berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi trigonometri. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan  keabsahan data dengan menggunakan triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi dapat memenuhi keenam indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis diantaranya; interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation dan selfregulation. Siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah sedang dapat memenuhi lima indikator interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, dan explanation. Sedangkan, siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah memenuhi tiga indikator berpikir kritis yaitu interpretation, analysis dan selfregulation. Kata kunci: Berpikir kritis, HOTS, Pemecahan masalah Abstract This study aims to determine students' critical thinking skills in solving Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) types on trigonometry material. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kandangserang. Subject selection was based on the results of the problem-solving ability test on trigonometry material. Data collection techniques used in this study are tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The technique of checking the validity of the data is by using the triangulation method. The results of this study indicate that students with high problem-solving abilities can meet the six indicators of critical thinking skills including; interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation and self-regulation. Students with moderate problem-solving skills can fulfil the five indicators of interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, and explanation. Meanwhile, students with low problem-solving abilities fulfil three critical thinking indicators, namely interpretation, analysis and self-regulation.
