Abstract

The application of ethics in general is very important in a business or business. Ethics is a description of a business in front of many people in the business / business environment that we run. Business ethics affect the level of satisfaction in the form of trust or trust that comes from each element in the business environment. Each of these elements must maintain ethics, as a result of which trust as a working principle can be maintained properly. because if we look deeper, the bigger an organization, the greater the demands of society for the organization. Many business institutions use all means to win the competition. Therefore, it is hoped that business people can run a business that meets the requirements in business ethics, both morally and societal norms. Organizations as a system are also expected to have social responsibility towards society in the form of applying ethics therein.

Abstract

This article aims to identify and analyze the role of banks in financing small and medium enterprises in Indonesia North Sumatra Province (SUMUT). The analytical tool used is a quantitative approach. The results of this study are that the role of banking in the development of small and medium enterprises in the province of North Sumatra is very important. This is because the role of non-bank credit and financial institutions in financing small and medium enterprises is still relatively low. The contribution of banking, especially in financial support, is when small and medium enterprises enter business development. When getting a bank loan, small and medium enterprises that are categorized as potential, feasible and bankable generally do not experience difficulties.

Abstract

Poverty is a condition that has not and has never been resolved on this earth. People who are still in poverty are still found in many countries, even in developed countries the phenomenon of poverty is a serious problem. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDPHB), Labor, Population on Poverty in North Sumatra Province. The analysis used in this study is a time series data analysis model, with secondary data for 2001-2020 obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sumatra.The results obtained from this study are; In the short term, the variables of GRDPHB (LNX1), Labor Force (LNX2), and Total Population do not have a significant effect on Poverty in North Sumatra Province. However, the Error Correction Term (ECT) is significant in the short run, which indicates an adjustment towards the long-run equilibrium after a shock; In the long run, the GRDP variable (LNXI) has a negative and significant effect on Poverty in North Sumatra Province. Meanwhile, the variables of Labor Force (LNYX) and Total Population are not significant. The Error Correction Model (ECM) used in this study can explain about 87% of the variation in the Poverty variable in North Sumatra Province.
