Abstract

Based on the 2017 IDHS survey, most adolescent women (80%) and men (84%) reported dating. The 15-17 years is the age group when adolescents start dating. Teenage dating activities lead to sexual behavior, such as holding hands, hugging, kissing lips, touching sensitive parts, and having sex. This study aims to determine the influence of the background characteristics of adolescents (age, area of residence, level of education) and social patterns (having friends having premarital sex, having the urge because of friends, influencing friends to have premarital sex, considering virginity important) on the incidence of premarital sex in Central Kalimantan 2017. Secondary data were obtained from the 2017 IDHS survey. Data analysis was performed by univariate, bivariate (Spearman rho test), and multivariate (logistic regression test). The results showed that 88% of respondents had sexual behavior orientation, and 12% did not. The correlation analysis explains a significant relationship between premarital sexual behavior and the area of residence. Respondents who live in cities are 3.47 times more likely to commit premarital sexual behavior (α<0,05 = 0,021; OR = 3.47). In addition, there is sufficient evidence to suggest a relationship between premarital sexual behavior and education level, respondents who attend high school and above are 2.71 times more likely to have premarital sexual behavior (α<0,10 = 0,066; OR = 2.71). Meanwhile, other variables from background characteristics and social patterns have no significant relationship/do not influence premarital sexual behavior. So it can be concluded that the background characteristics in the area of residence (Sig Wald <0.0) have a significant partial effect on adolescents' incidence of premarital sexual behavior in Central Kalimantan.

Abstract

Intisari Latar belakang: SNEDDS dipilih karena dapat meningkatkan absorbsi obat yang memiliki kelarutan rendah didalam air seperti zat aktif yang berasal dari ekstrak tanaman.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat suatu inovasi sediaan obat dengan memanfaatkan sistem penghantaran obat baru yang berupa Self Nanoemulsifiying Drug Delivery System (SNEDDS)menggunakan zat aktif ekstrak daun papaya (Carica Papaya L.) yang berkhasiat sebagai analgesik.Metode: SNEDDS ekstrak daun pepaya Carica Papaya L.) dibuat dengan metode high energy. ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi daun yang telah dikeringkan menggunakan etanol 96% kemudian ekstrak diuapkan dengan rotary evaporator hingga menjadi ekstrak pekat dan ditambahkan kedalam formulasi. Sediaan SNEDDS dibuat 4 formula dengan fase minyak isopropil miristat, surfaktan PEG 400, dan kosurfaktan tween 80 menggunakan teknik high energy. Evaluasi terhadap sediaan berupa ukuran partikel, persen transmitan, dan freeze thawing. Formulasi SNEDDS yang memiliki kesesuaian parameter evaluasi akan dilakukan pengujian terhadap aktivitas analgesiknya secara in vivo menggunakan mencit galur balb-c yang diinduksi asam asetat 1% kemudian hasil uji dibandingkan dengan aktivitas analgesik asam mefenamatHasil: Hasil uji memperlihatkan bahwa semua formula memiliki ukuran partikel <200nm dan persen transmitan >90%. Hasil uji aktivitas analgesik SNEDDS secara in-vivo menunjukan bahwa persen inhibisi nyeri rata-rata SNEDDS ekstrak daun pepaya adalah 94,55%.Kesimpulan: Formula SNEDDS ekstrak daun pepaya dari F4 memenuhi parameter stabilitas yang baik dengan ukuran partikel yang paling kecil yaitu 77,1 nm. Persen inhibisi nyeri dari SNEDDS ekstrak daun papaya pada mencit galur balb-c yang diinduksi asam asetat adalah 94,55%.Kata kunci : SNEDDS, Carica Papaya L., analgesik

Abstract

Uv-Vis spectrophotometry is an analytical method that can be used to determine the levels of domperidon maleate contained in transdermal patches with different polymers. The analysis method needs to be validated to prove that it can provide measurement results that match its designation. The purpose of this study is to prove that uv-vis spectrophotometry methods can provide the specificity, linearity, thoroughness, and precision that meet the requirements. In this study, linearity was known by calculating the r value on the curve of the relationship between levels and absorbance. Precision is obtained based on rsd value. Accuracy is calculated based on the return value. Selectiveity is known by means of identity confirmation that calculates the absorbance ratio at different wavelengths. The results showed that the method meets the requirements with a value of r=0.999; RSD precision results at a level of 10 ppm obtained RSD 0.236%. The accuracy values of 80%, 100%, and 120% in the matrix of transdermal domperidon maleate patches with PVA and PVP polymers respectively recovery was 99.50%, 101.15%, and 99.13%.. In the matrix of transdermal patches domperidon maleate with polymers HPMC and Na-CMC respectively recovery was 100.91%, 100.31%, and 100.67%. In the matrix of transdermal domperidon patches with HPMC and EC polymers respectively recovery was 98.00%, 98.00%, and 99.00%. The identity confirmation results on the transdermal domperidon patch matrix with PVA and PVP polymers, HPMC and Na-CMC, as well as HPMC and EC respectively have ratio value close to the standard solution with an average value of 0.800; 0,806; and 0.808. It can be concluded that the method of analyzing the levels of domperidone maleate in matrix of transdermal patches has qualified for good validity.

Abstract

Levofloksasin merupakan antibiotik yang digunakan dalam terapi Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) dengan prevalensi cukup tinggi di Indonesia. Sodium starch glycolate (SSG) merupakan eksipien yang berfungsi sebagai disintegran. SSG direkomendasikan dalam formula tablet dengan konsentrasi 1-4% karena konsentrasi yang lebih tinggi dapat mengurangi kemampuan disintegrasinya. Kinetika pelepasan obat memiliki nilai yang sangat penting dalam pengembangan dan kontrol kualitas obat. Perubahan kualitatif dan kuantitatif eksipien dalam formula dapat mengubah kinetika pelepasan dan kinerja in-vivo. Peneliltian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan studi perbandingan kinetika pelepasan obat pada tablet levofloksasin yang diformulasikan menggunakan berbagai konsentrasi SSG. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa konsentrasi SSG 1,33-5,33% dalam formula tidak memberikan perbedaan model kinetika pelepasan obat. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai f1 (3,12-8,50) dan f2 (56,16-77,43) yang berada pada rentang kriteria. Tablet levofloksasin Immediate-release (IR) yang diformulasikan, mengikuti pemodelan First-Order kinetik dengan kriteria nilai R2_adj tertinggi, MSE dan AIC terkecil, serta MSC terbesar dibandingkan dengan model kinetika lainnya. Pemodelan menggunakan Korsmeyer-Peppas memperlihatkan bahwa mekanisme transport dari tablet levofloksasin mengikuti persamaan Fickian semu (n<0,5) sehingga menggambarkan pelepasan obat dari matriks non-swellable.

Abstract

Senggani fruit (Melastoma Malabathricum L.) contains anthocyanin that functioning as an antioxidant. Anthocyanin are tremendously sensitive to thermal processes which trigger phytochemical or photo-oxidation reactions that can open anthocyanin rings. The objective of this study is to identify the effect of the simplicia drying method on the antioxidant activity of Senggani fruit extract. Senggani fruit extract was prepared by obtaining samples of ripe fruit, dry sorting, washing, wet sorting, and drying using two methods; sunlight and oven at 70oC. After the simplicia was dry, it was blended and sifted until smooth. The fine simplicia was macerated with 96% ethanol and evaporated to gain a crude extract. The crude extract was assessed with reagents for phytochemical screening. Furthermore, the crude extract was examined for antioxidant activity by the DPPH method. This study implies that the simplicia and crude extract of Senggani fruit from drying in sunlight and oven possess different organoleptic properties such as color, smell, and taste. In phytochemical testing with reagents, it was discovered that anthocyanin compounds were unveiled in drying utilizing sunlight while employing an oven at 70oC; no anthocyanins were found. The antioxidant testing of Senggani fruit extract revealed that the drying method employing sunlight had an IC50 value of 18.8 g/mL while the oven temperature of 70oC owned an IC50 value of 28.3 g/mL. Based on the study results, it can be identified that the simplicia drying method affects the antioxidant activity of the Senggani fruit extract. The drying method in the sun produces extracts with greater antioxidant activity while drying in an oven at 70oC results in a degradation process of anthocyanin compounds, thereby decreasing the antioxidant activity of the Senggani fruit extract.

Abstract

Essential Oil memiliki multimanfaat yang baik untuk digunakan dalam sediaan aromaterapi. Seiring perkembangan zaman dengan teknologi semakin canggih sehingga mendukung maraknya pemakaian produk-produk yang dikenal dengan “Back To Nature” salah satunya dengan mengangkat pamor dari essential oil terutama produk untuk kesehatan, dikarenakan dengan menggunakan minyak jenis ini akan memberi rasa relaksasi pada tubuh. Kaum millenial merupakan generasi maju sebagai contoh permodelan di masyarakat dan menjadi mitra yang akan mendukung untuk menyemarakkan penggunaan essential oil. Hal ini merupakan faktor penting dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat tentang pelatihan pembuatan sediaan aromaterapi berbahan essential oil  kepada sekelompok komunitas milenial di kota Palangka Raya. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan pemberian edukasi dan menambah ketertarikan tentang essential oil, pelatihan pembuatan sediaan aromaterapi, serta di akhiri dengan evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan pemberian pre dan post test dalam bentuk kuisioner. Hasil kegiatan yang didapatkan ialah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, ketertarikan dan ketrampilan membuat sediaan aromaterapi bagi pihak mitra serta dapat menjadi inspirasi untuk dapat menyemarakkan potensi dari essential oil dalam mewujudkan komunitas milenial yang kreatif dan inovatif.

Abstract

Swamedikasi diartikan sebagai pemilihan dan pemanfaatan obat-obatan untuk mengobati gejala atau penyakit yang dikenali sendiri. Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah memiliki prevalensi swamedikasi yang tinggi yaitu 89,46%. Peningkatan minat masyarakat terhadap swamedikasi meningkat karena pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran penjualan obat swamedikasi di Apotek Karomah saat pandemi COVID- 19 berlangsung. Pengumpulan data penjualan dilakukan dengan melihat pada SIM (Sistem Informasi Management) berbasis computer pada Juli – Agustus 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tiga besar penjualan berdasarkan jenis obat di Apotek Karomah berupa BatukFlu sebanyak 1956 item (24,48%), JamuMinuman sebanyak 1482 item (18,55%), dan Alkes sebanyak 993 item (12,43%). Penjualan sepuluh besar (Top 10) berdasarkan item/ merk obat ditempati oleh komix batuk sebanyak 1236 item, madu TJ sebanyak 718 item, dan masker sebanyak 554 item. Total omzet penjualan pada Bulan Juli adalah Rp 49.068.000,- dan terlihat menurun pada Bulan Agustus Rp 43.944.000,-. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pandemi COVID-19 memberikan dampak penjualan obat swamedikasi di Apotek Karomah Kota Palangka Raya terutama obat-obat yang berkaitan dengan penurunan gejala COVID-19 dan peningkatan imunitas tubuh.

Abstract

Karamunting (Melastoma malabathricum L.) contains several compounds with pharmacological activities including antioxidant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and diuretic. Karamunting flowers contain flavonoid compounds, saponins and tannins. Tannin compounds can stabilize free radicals by complementing the electron deficiency of free radicals. To increase the utilization of karamunting flowers, it is formulated in the form of effervescent granules. This study aims to determine the ethanol extract of karamunting flower (Melastoma malabathricum L.) with concentrations of 1%, 2%, and 3% can be formulated in the form of effervescent granules. The physical properties of the granules were tested which included organoleptic test, flow rate test, granule compressibility test, dissolving time test and pH of effervescent granules. The results showed that formula 3 with a concentration ratio of 3% ethanol extract was a formula that met the requirements for the physical properties of the granules, namely with a sweet and sour taste, a characteristic odor of karamunting, and a dark purple-brown color. With an average flow rate of 2.853 g/sec, average compressibility of 21.12%, an average dissolving time of 7.52 seconds and a pH measurement of 5.
