Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of mangrove species in the Pakonjawai Protected Forest area, East Sumba Regency. The type of research in this study was an ecological descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was a purposive sampling technique with sampling locations covering 3 observation stations using the line transect method (transect line plot). The results showed that the composition of the mangrove species found consisted of 5 families, 5 genera and 9 species with a total of 337 individuals consisting of 237 individual tree categories, 68 individual saplings and 32 individual seedlings. The mangrove species found were Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizopora stylosa, Sonneratia alba, Sonneratia ovata, Avicennia alba, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, and Sscyphiphora hydrophyllaceae. The diversity index at the tree growth rate was 1.9518, the sampling level was 2.0496 and the seedling level was 1.9588 which means that the diversity of mangrove species is "moderately abundant". The highest Important Value Index (IVI) at tree level was Sonneratia ovata with a value of 71.98 while the sapling level was for Rhizophora mucronata with a value of 38.15 and the seedling level for Rhizophora mucronata with a value of 45.41.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the application of three-dimensional learning media to students' cognitive learning outcomes; and 2) describing the increase in cognitive learning outcomes of Class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Umbu Ratu Nggay, Pahomba Village, Umbu Ratu Nggay District, Central Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province after using three-dimensional learning media on solar system material. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, action, evaluation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Umbu Ratu Nggay for the 2021/2022 academic year, which consisted of 12 students. The data obtained in this study are in the form of students' cognitive learning outcomes taken from the application of the three-dimensional media learning method. The instruments used are interview sheets, tests, and documentation. The results of the research and data analysis in cycle I and cycle II revealed that there was an increase in the cognitive learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Umbu Ratu Nggay. This is indicated by an increase in the percentage of students' cognitive learning outcomes in science lessons on the solar system material. The percentage of the pre-test score in the first cycle category was 25% complete and 75% incomplete, and the post-test value in cycle I increased, namely the complete category was 41% and 59% incomplete. In cycle II there was an increase where the percentage of the pre-test score with the complete category was 66.6% and 33.4% incomplete, and the post-test value in the second cycle category was 91.3 complete and 8.3% incomplete.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of class XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Waingapu students through the mind mapping method. This type of research is classified as Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, execution, action, evaluation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were class XI MIPA 4 students of SMA Negeri 1 Waingapu for the 2021/2022 school year, totaling 37 students, consisting of 15 male students and 22 female students. The data obtained in this study is in the form of student learning outcomes taken from the application of the mind mapping learning method. The instruments used are interview sheets, tests, and documentation. The results of research and data analysis in cycle I and cycle II are known that there is an increase in learning outcomes of class XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Waingapu students for the 2021/2022 school year. This is shown by an increase in the percentage of student learning outcomes towards Biology lessons in the Motion System material from the results of mind mapping assignments in cycle 1, showing a percentage of student creativity of 54.14% with less creative categories and to 86.49% with very creative categories in cycle 2. Student learning outcomes also increased from a completion percentage of 46.64% in cycle I to 86.48% in cycle II.

Abstract

One of the infectious and deadly human diseases caused by bacteria is cholera or acute diarrhea, caused by Vibrio cholerae. This disease is very dangerous and needs to be treated properly and quickly. This study aims to determine the anti-bacterial activity of noni root extract (Morinda citrifolia L.) on the growth of Vibrio cholerae. This type of experimental research uses a completely randomized design (CRD). The data collected in this study was the diameter of the inhibition zone measured from each treatment. The results of the ANOVA test showed that the noni root extract tested on Vibrio cholerae after being analyzed, obtained Fcount > Ftable, namely 53.929 > 3.48. Noni root extract has inhibitory power against the growth of Vibrio cholerae. The results of this study proved that the diffusion method used showed good results, which was indicated by the presence of inhibition zones in all five treatments (5%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 50%). The best treatment was at a concentration of 50% with an inhibition zone diameter of 28.66 mm.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Waingapu through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is conducted in two cycles, which consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation stage, and reflection stage. Before going to cycle I and cycle II, the researcher first conducted a pre-cycle. The subjects of this study were 31 students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Waingapu for the academic year 2022/2023, consisting of 17 male students and 14 female students. The data obtained in this study are in the form of student learning outcomes taken from the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model. The instruments used are interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of the research and data analysis in cycle I and cycle II revealed that there was an increase in the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Waingapu for the 2022/2023 academic year. This is indicated by an increase in the proportion of student learning outcomes in Biology lessons on the material of the human respiratory system. The results showed that the proportion of student learning outcomes in pre-cycle was 29%, cycle I was 75%, and cycle II was 90%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Waingapu.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pahunga Lodu through the application of a jigsaw cooperative learning model assisted by learning videos. This type of research is classified as Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, which consists of four stages, namely: 1) planning; 2) implementation; 3) observation; and 4) the reflection stage. The subjects of this study were 38 students in class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Pahunga Lodu for the academic year 2022/2023, consisting of 14 male students and 24 female students. The data obtained in this study were in the form of student learning outcomes taken from the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model assisted by learning videos. The instruments used are: 1) interviews; 2) test; and 3) run. The results of the research and data analysis in cycle I and cycle II revealed that there was an increase in the learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Pahunga Lodu for the 2022/2023 academic year. This is indicated by an increase in the proportion of student learning outcomes in biology lessons on human coordination system material. The research results obtained the proportion of student learning outcomes in cycle I was 73%, and cycle II was 92%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pahunga Lodu.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW )pada mata materi sistem pernapasan manusia di SMP N 2 Nggaha Ori Angu. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) desain model Khemis & Mc Tanggart yang tediri dari kegiatan siklus I dan siklus II. Tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 29 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP N 2 Nggaha Ori Angu. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari prasiklus, siklus I, dan siklus II melalui pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif pada tahap prasiklus senilai 20,6%, siklus I mencapai 41,3%, mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 82,7%. Pada aspek psikomotorik siklus II terdapat peserta didik yang predikat baik 21 siswa dengan persentase 72,41%, yang predikat cukup 5 siswa dengan persentase 17,24%, dan yang predikat kurang 3 siswa dengan persentase 10,34% nilai rata-rata seluruh peserta didik 75,28. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) berbantuan media gambar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran biologi pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia di SMP N 2 Nggaha Ori Angu.
