The purpose of the article is to discuss the learning process of class III elementary school students by understanding the teaching material delivered by the teacher, apart from that this article also focuses on the material provided by the teacher related to learning arts and culture in class. The design of this study uses qualitative research, and the method used is descriptive, in this case, it will be studied and will describe the results of field observations that have been conducted in two schools. The subjects in this study were five third-grade elementary school students and two third-grade teachers in two schools. The research focuses more on third-grade elementary school students and third-grade teachers. The data analysis technique used in this study uses interactive model analysis, with the existence of a data reduction, data presentation, and concluding of the data collection process. The results of this study found that there were difficulties for students in arts and crafts lessons because they were not given a basis for learning arts and crafts. Each student cannot practice alone, this requires a companion, guidance, and direction from the teacher to help the learning process in class. Difficulties were also experienced by third-grade teachers from two schools where research had been conducted and found that the two teachers were not very knowledgeable in the arts and culture and crafts, so they were considered difficult when giving cultural arts and crafts materials.
