Abstract

This article attempts to elucidate language policy in Indonesia from legal perspective. Indonesia has a certain language policy that governs the use of language in this country. The Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24 Year 2009 concerning Flag, Language, and State Symbol, and National Anthem is the basic policy that set other policies dealing with language. This policy consists of regulation on national, local, and international language. In order to implement this policy in real life, the nation still needs hard effort from many stake-holders. In addition to many obstacles, it also invites opportunities.

Abstract

Pembelajaran secara online telah dilakukan oleh guru-guru SMP Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura. Akan tetapi evaluasi secara online belum dilakukan secara baik. Banyak guru masih menggunakan cara paper-based test. Untuk itu perlu dilatih penggunaan aplikasi tes online agar efektif dan effisen. Pelatihan dengan metode ceramah dan praktik dipilih untuk kegiatan ini. Adapun hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru dapat menggunakan aplikasi tersebut mulai dari pengisian dashboard, pengisian data siswa dan mata pelajaran, manajemen tes, pengisian bank soal, dan yang terakhir melihat hasil pekerjaan siswa. Selanjutnya diharapkan hasil pelatihan ini dapat membantu sekolah dalam menguji siswa secara online dengan hasil cepat, efisien, dan efektif.

Abstract

This study investigated types of compliments used by netizen and the responses towards the compliments found in YouTube comments. Qualitative descriptive research methods was employed in this study. The data source comes from Youtube Comments on the NFL's web page entitled Rihanna's Full Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show. The data was collected by using documentation and then analyzed by using content analysis. The findings revealed that there were three types of compliments found in the comments such as 7 appearances (7), skill / abilities (16) and personalities (2). It can be concluded that ability compliment was the most frequent appearing of compliments types. In addition, the data also showed that there were six compliment strategies found in the comments such as 5 Comment acceptance, 1 reassignment, 2 return, 1 question, 2 disagreements and 1 request interpretation.

Abstract

This in-depth literary analysis explores the novel "All the Bright Places" (2015) by Jennifer Niven This research examines an existentialist perspective, focusing on the themes of love, loss, and resilience. By applying an existentialist lens with the aim of (1) From an existentialist perspective, how the themes of love, loss, and resilience are expressed in this novel; (2) Analyze the concepts of individual freedom and personal responsibility in this novel and the existentialist implications that arise from the characters and storyline; (3) Discover the role of the themes of death and loss in this story and how they can be understood through the lens of existentialism. This research method is a descriptive qualitative method using content analysis techniques and note-taking techniques in data analysis. The data of this research comes from the literary work All the Bright Places (2015).
