Abstract

Sawahan Village is one of the villages in Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java Province. Sawahan Village has an area of 265.8000 KmĀ², of which 78.9708 Km2 of paddy fields are used and 186.8292 Km2 of dry land. Sawahan Village is famous for its many areas used for rice fields, but because it is directly adjacent to the City of Solo, Sawahan Village, which is currently an agglomeration area, experiences many problems, one of which is land conversion. The food crop sector as well as horticulture is a producer of staple foods which are key in maintaining national food security. To support the increase in agricultural and horticultural production, it is necessary to identify land to find out the types of plants that are superior in the land so that land use optimization can be carried out for these types of plants. Until now there has been no information related to the spread of agricultural and plantation food crop commodities in Sawahan Village.

Abstract

The large number of vehicles passing by on the toll road, as well as the presence of factory fumes and land conversion in Sawahan Village have caused an increase in climate change. Climate change that tends to occur from this is an increase in air temperature and a decrease in humidity. An increase in air temperature and a decrease in humidity in an area can cause a decrease in comfort in that area. If comfort is reduced, it will have a negative impact on humans, animals and plants. Humans will feel uncomfortable and will interfere with their productivity as well as animals, while plants will wither and die over time. This study aims to determine the biodiversity found in several green open spaces in Sawahan Village and determine the comfort level in Sawahan Village based on an assessment obtained from the Temperature Humidity Index (THI). This research was conducted using descriptive quantitative analysis method. From this research, it resulted that flora biodiversity has a strong correlation with comfort, even though all locations include green open spaces, the differences in flora biodiversity will affect the level of comfort. shady and cool compared to locations with lots of grass. Even though they are both green, the level of coolness that is felt is much different.

Abstract

Pakujoyo Park is one of the green open spaces in Sukoharjo Regency. Every green open space has potential environmental services, namely those provided by ecosystem functions whose benefits can be felt directly or indirectly. In this study, an analysis was carried out to determine the potential and function of environmental services from Pakujoyo Park including provisioning services, regulatory services, cultural services, and supporting services. Using data collection methods with questionnaires and interviews then carried out an analysis with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results showed that the characteristics of the respondents indicated the purpose of visitors to come to Pakujoyo Park. Its existence provides 4 environmental services including provision of services with the benefits of food crops, building material plants, shade plants, and ornamental plants. Then the regulatory service potential is in the form of the benefits of plants as water storage, air purification facilities, providing a sense of comfort, coolness, and shade, being able to withstand strong winds, as preventing erosion and flooding, being able to contribute as a barrier to climate change, and providing clean water. Pakujoyo Park cultural services in the form of recreational facilities indicated by the purpose of visiting almost all respondents is recreation. Supporting services in this park are in the form of benefits as a producer of oxygen from all existing plants, a place for habitat for various types of flora and fauna, protecting germplasm, and supporting plant pollination and nutrient cycles.

Abstract

Noise is a type of environmental pollution in the form of sound that comes from a human activity. The impact of noise is disturbing comfort in the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of influence of the noise relationship from the activities of the Mangu Market, Jalan Raya Manguraya, and Adi Soemarmo Airport on the concentration of students' learning at SMPN 1 Ngemplak. The research method is observational with a cross sectional analysis approach. Noise research was conducted at 09.00-10.00; 10.00-11.00; and 11.00-12.00 with 2 sampling points, namely roads and classrooms which respectively obtained an average result of 68.97dB and 55.73dB. Based on the data that has been obtained, the noise at SMPN 1 Ngemplak exceeds the threshold set by KepMen LH No. 48/MNLH/11/1996, which is 55 dB for the school area. Data analysis was carried out with the Chi-Square test, obtained a probability value of 0.001<0.05. So it is stated that there is a significant relationship between the impact of noise that occurs at SMPN 1 Ngemplak with the concentration of student learning. Recommendations for reducing noise that can be done include planting trees around schools, building fences with vines, changing the function of classes near the highway into warehouses or teachers' offices that have minimal learning processes, reducing the percentage of windows and increasing the use of curtains, and changing building period. Abstract

Mangroves are a type of dicotyledonous plant that is easily found in coastal estuary areas with swampy or dense structures, with various benefits in ecological, biological, and economic aspects. Edu-Ecotourism Tapak Mangrove is one of the mangrove tourist areas in the city of Semarang. The purpose of this research was to determine the potential of Edu-Ecotourism Tapak Mangrove environmental services with community perceptions, including provision services, regulatory services, cultural services, and supporting services. Primary data collection methods are observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Secondary data includes journal literature, books, and related regulations. The analysis was carried out using a qualitative-descriptive approach. Results showed that the characteristics of the respondents were dominated by residents of Semarang City with an age range of >35 years, and an income above Rp.3,000,000. Eco-Edutourism Tapak Mangrove provides four types of environmental services, including provision services, regulatory services, cultural services, and supporting services. The potential for the provision of services is obtained from 11 types of mangrove plants at the location, along with the carbon absorption received. Potential regulatory services have an average respondent result of 91%. Potential regulatory services include the benefits of mangroves to withstand the onslaught of sea waves, maintain water quality, protect ponds from erosion, withstand strong winds, provide air purification, provide a sense of comfort to visitors, and prevent climate change. Cultural services include benefits for recreation (natural tourism and education), pond cultivation, work, and research. The potential for supporting services has an average respondent result of 98.7%. The potential supporting services in this park include the benefits of producing oxygen, improving the fertility of the mangrove ecosystem, and providing a habitat for flora and fauna.
