Abstract

Abstract.PT X is a company plastics and textiles that has 3 section of the production process, one of which is the weaving section. During work, workers are exposed to heat stress which can affect hydration status. The objective of the research is to investigate the correlation of heat stress to hydration status of the workers at weaving section PT X. This research used the observational analytical research method with cross sectional approach. Its population was all of morning work with 60 workers at weaving section PT Kusuma Mulia Plasindo Infitex Klaten. Proposive sampling was used to determine its samples. They consisted of 37 workers. The heat stress was measured with Heat Stress Area and hydration status using urine specific gravity laboratory tests conducted by Solo Laboratory. The data were processed and analyzed by using the Spearman test. The result of this research show that the heat stress had a correlation with hydration status as indicated by the p-value = 0,001.

Abstract

The hospitality industry is one of the tourism facilities that play an important to increasing tourism revenues, but has risks as a place of transmission and spread of disease. This aims of study to provide an overview of the application of hygiene and sanitation at the Hotel Kusuma Kartika Sari Surakarta (Hotel KKS) by referring to Permenkes. 80 of 1990 on hotel health requirements and Decree of the Director General of PPM and PLP no. 95 of the year 1991 on the assessment of the Hotel Health Check. The research method is descriptive with interview technique and direct observation using hotel health inspection questionnaire. The result of research shows that Hotel KKS was in the healthy category based on hygiene and sanitation assessment calculation with presentation of 79%. The conclusion of this research is that the application of sanitation of Hotel KKS met the requirements of Hygiene and sanitation but for the environmental requirements variable it is still possible to enter and multiply the disease vector and annoying animal. In the room and space requirement variables there is no separation of male and female rest room and unavailability of locker for employees, goods in unorganized warehouse and height of shelf below 20 cm. On the variables of health requirements and sanitation facilities that the bathroom has not met the minimum amount in accordance with the number of employees and waste bins that still allow the proliferation of disease vectors and insects. Based on these results the hotel is expected to maintain the variables that have been qualified and improve the requirements that have not been met. Keywords: Hygiene, Hospitality Sanitation

Abstract

Pekerjaan dengan menggunakan alat mekanis yang menghasilkan getaran lengan tangan selama 8 jam sehari dalam seminggu dapat berakibat menimbulkan keluhan Carpal Tunnel Syndrom (CTS). Pekerja furnitur di Gilingan Surakarta yang menggunakan gerinda untuk menghaluskan dan memotong material berpotensi mengalami keluhan subyektif CTS berupa nyeri, mati rasa, kesemutan yang dapat berdampak pada kesehatan dan produktifitas pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa korelasi antara paparan getaran dan faktor personal yang berpengaruh terhadap keluhan CTS pada pekerja furnitur gilingan. Penelitain observasional kuantitatif dengan metode cross sectional di sentra furnitur gilingan. Jumlah responden sebanyak 54 orang dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu pekerja yang mengalami paparan getaran mekanis dari gerinda selama 6 – 8 jam perhari selama seminggu. Vibration meter digunakan untuk mengukur getaran dan kuesioner “CTS Diagnostic Questionnaire” oleh Sheffield Primary Care Trust-Hand and Elbow Pain digunakan untuk mengukur keluhan subyektif CTS dari pekerja. Korelasi Pearson dan spearman digunakan dalam penelitian ini dan hasil menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara getaran dan kebiasan merokok terhadap keluhan subyektif CTS pekerja, sedangkan usia, masa kerja, IMT tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan CTS.Kata Kunci: faktor personal; getaran mekanis; keluhan CTS

Abstract

Sakit punggung bawah adalah rasa sakit dapat berupa nyeri yang terasa pada punggung bagian bawah atau biasa disebut juga dengan istilah low back pain (LBP). Keluhan sakit punggung bagian bawah disebabkan oleh perilaku bekerja dalam postur duduk yang tidak ergonomis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku kerja duduk terhadap keluhan sakit punggung bawah pada tenaga kerja administrasi di pabrik Madurasa Unggulan Nusantara. Penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik melalui pendekatan cross sectional. Responden berasal dari tenaga kerja administrasi berjumlah 30 orang dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Lembar kerja REBA digunakan untuk menilai perilaku bekerja dalam postur duduk, sedangkan kuesioner Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability digunakan guna menilai tingkat keluhan sakit punggung bawah. Analisis data menggunakan uji Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor perilaku kerja duduk adalah 5,94 dan rata-rata nilai keluhan sakit punggung bawah adalah 9,85%. Hasil uji Pearson Product Moment antara perilaku kerja duduk terhadap keluhan sakit punggung bawah dihasilkan nilai p=0,00 (p<0,05) yang artinya terdapat korelasi bermakna antara perilaku kerja duduk terhadap keluhan sakit punggung bawah.

Abstract

One of the causes of congestion on the highway is the increasing number of motorized vehicle users, whose percentage is now increasing from the use of other vehicles or transportation. Every vehicle in circulation also comes from companies and with various brands. This study aims to determine the comparison of emissions or pressure produced at three constant speeds by five motorized vehicles with different brands using the same type of fuel, to determine the amount of emissions released by each vehicle brand and every hour, and the impact of the resulting emissions on environmental health. . The research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive method with a sampling technique and the data were then analyzed with a literature review and information obtained from the STNK. From this research, it is found that different motorcycle brands with the same year of production have different emission results. Of the five types of brands tested, motorized vehicles with the Beat 110 CC brand and the year of engine production being longer than the other four types produced fewer gas emissions, namely 3237 at a speed of 60 KM/hour. In addition, the pressure (ppm) on the Beat brand will also be lower, although the speed that is different from the other four brands will actually increase the pressure. For the value of emissions issued per hour will also be in line with pressure (ppm). Gas emissions released by motorized vehicles themselves have a harmful impact on health and the environment. One of the dangers posed by vehicle exhaust gases for health and the environment is the increase in hemoglobin levels in the blood which will form COHb in the body. Abstract

Noise is a type of environmental pollution in the form of sound that comes from a human activity. The impact of noise is disturbing comfort in the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of influence of the noise relationship from the activities of the Mangu Market, Jalan Raya Manguraya, and Adi Soemarmo Airport on the concentration of students' learning at SMPN 1 Ngemplak. The research method is observational with a cross sectional analysis approach. Noise research was conducted at 09.00-10.00; 10.00-11.00; and 11.00-12.00 with 2 sampling points, namely roads and classrooms which respectively obtained an average result of 68.97dB and 55.73dB. Based on the data that has been obtained, the noise at SMPN 1 Ngemplak exceeds the threshold set by KepMen LH No. 48/MNLH/11/1996, which is 55 dB for the school area. Data analysis was carried out with the Chi-Square test, obtained a probability value of 0.001<0.05. So it is stated that there is a significant relationship between the impact of noise that occurs at SMPN 1 Ngemplak with the concentration of student learning. Recommendations for reducing noise that can be done include planting trees around schools, building fences with vines, changing the function of classes near the highway into warehouses or teachers' offices that have minimal learning processes, reducing the percentage of windows and increasing the use of curtains, and changing building period. Abstract

River water quality is influenced by the natural conditions of the river, human activities and land use in the vicinity. Water pollution is the inclusion or entry of various kinds of objects, living things, energy, substances and other components into the air by human activities, which then causes air quality to decrease to a certain level so that it cannot be utilized according to its use. Pepe River is one of the rivers that pass through the Surakarta area. Pepe River is divided into two, namely Pepe Hulu and Pepe Hilir. The Pepe Hilir River is 5.76 km long. Pollution that occurs in the Pepe River is dominated by household waste. The water quality of the Pepe Hilir River is classified as class IV. This study aims to determine the pollution of the Pepe Hilir River so that it can provide recommendations for water management strategies for the Pepe Hilir River. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods obtained through observation and journal literature related to physico-chemical parameters in river water. The results showed that the level of water pollution of the Pepe Hilir River was said to be good at the three research locations, not showing any water pollution based on the results of measurements using HORIBA U-50 (Multiparameter Water Quality Checker). Based on secondary data in the form of previous research, it shows that the Surakarta City government has promoted the Pepe River pollution control strategy, but community participation is still considered minimal. Therefore, the recommendation for the government is that the government prioritizes the community so that they are able to contribute to waste management on the banks of the Pepe River with outreach campaigns to villages traversed by the Pepe Hilir River. The government can also understand with community leaders or community institutions to help encourage the community to want to participate in river management programs. In addition, the Surakarta city government is also advised to provide great opportunities for the community to be involved in programs promoted by the government. Abstract

Noise is unwanted sound produced by a business or activity at a certain volume and frequency. Noise has an negative effect on quality of life, health and well-being. The market as a center for trade and services supported by the increasing number of vehicles used by the public is expected to cause uncontrollable noise. Measurement of noise levels in the market environment can be done to find out how much noise is generated from market activities and what kind of effect is generated. Therefore, this research was conducted which aims to determine the noise intensity measured by the calculation of the leq equation, to determine the effect of noise levels on community activities in the Pasar Gede Solo area, and to determine the effect of noise on humans or the whole environment in the Pasar Gede Solo area. The research was conducted on April to Mei 2022 at Pasar Gede Solo, Jl. Jend. Urip Sumoharjo, Sudiroprajan, Kecamatan Jebres, Surakarta City, Central Java. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method using primary data obtained by direct observation at the research location, distributing questionnaires, and conducting interviews with traders, workers, and buyers. In addition, secondary data obtained by literature study is also used. From the results of this study, it is known that the noise level at the front entrance has an average of 70.6 dB, the middle area is 62.9 dB, and the rear entrance is 65.1 dB. Among the three points, the front entrance has passed the predetermined threshold value. Noise levels that exceed the threshold value can cause hearing, communication, and physiological disturbances to traders, workers, and buyers in the Pasar Gede Solo area. Abstract

The terminal is one of the public facilities in the field of transportation whose existence is not only beneficial for the community. Terminals can have a serious impact on the environment, one of which is noise. . Noise is a sound that is produced from an activity but is unwanted and can disturb humans. Tirtonadi Terminal is a type A bus terminal located in Surakarta City. The terminal waiting room is a gathering place for many people such as traders, passengers, bus officers and terminal officers. The purpose of this study was to obtain results that were relevant to those in the field and to identify efforts that could be used to reduce or prevent noise propagation from reaching residential areas. . This research data was taken by direct measurement technique and literature study. The data obtained are in the form of noise level data at each sample point, noise quality standards at the terminal, and data related to noise measurements. The noise level data obtained were analyzed quantitatively by using the Leq calculation formula. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the noise level value in the two waiting room areas at Tirtonadi Terminal was around 54.2 dBA. The noise value indicates that the noise level in the waiting room area of Tirtonadi Terminal does not exceed the noise level quality standard based on the Decree of the Minister of the Environment Number 48/MENLH/11/1996. Efforts that can be made to prevent noise include reducing the volume of sound produced, regulating vehicle operating times, limiting the number of bus operations, and using natural and artificial barriers. Abstract

Pajanan kebisingan yang diterima oleh pekerja akibat proses produksi dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan. Salah satu gangguan kesehatan tersebut adalah stres kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan intensitas kebisingan dengan tingkat stres pekerja bagian produksi Industri Kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian analitik observasional dengan penambahan intepretasi data berupa noise mapping. Penelitian dilakukan pada area produksi Industri Kimia dengan sampel sebanyak 35 pekerja dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Sound Level Meter untuk mengukur intensitas kebisingan dan kuesioner Terry Looker dan Olga Gregson untuk mengukur tingkat stres kerja. Uji statistik yang digunakan dalam menentukan korelasi adalah uji Somers’d dengan bantuan software SPSS 25.0. Hasil pengukuran intensitas kebisingan didapatkan bahwa rata-rata intensitas kebisingan di bagian produksi mencapai 87,7 dBA (>NAB) dan hasil pengukuran stres kerja didapatkan bahwa pekerja mengalami stres mulai dari kategori sedang, tinggi, hingga sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan uji Somers’ d didapatkan hasil p value sebesar 0,047 (< 0,05) yang berarti signifikan dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,906 (korelasi sangat kuat) dengan arah korelasi positif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara intensitas kebisingan dengan stres kerja pada pekerja area produksi Industri Kimia, dan semakin tinggi intensitas kebisingan maka semakin tinggi pula stres kerja yang dialami oleh pekerja
