Abstract

This study aims to describe the building elements in the novel Reaching for the Sun by Dermawan Wibisono and Describe the psychology of the character Bimo in the novel Menggapai Matahari by Dermawan Wibisono. The research method uses qualitative descriptive with a content analysis approach in the form of the novel Menggapai Matahari by Dermawan Wibisono In this study focused on personality structures, namely id, ego and super ego. The data collection technique is carried out by reading and recording important information contained in the novel Menggapai Matahari by Dermawan Wibisono, the results of the study show that (1) the intrinsic elements of the novel Menggapai Matahari consist of (a) themes, namely a child who is trying to break the prediction that he will one day trouble his parents. ( b) plot, using the forward plot (c) characterization, starting from Bimo as the main character and several other additional characters (d) the setting, namely the setting of the place, namely in ungaran, the setting when the author tells more about the story from the past continuing to the present, the social setting about the belief in ancient Javanese prophecies, the setting of the atmosphere, depicting a sad atmosphere and a mixed emotional atmosphere of happiness. (e) a first-person point of view (f) the mandate never precedes almighty destiny. (2) personality structures in the form of id, ego and super ego of the psychoanalyst sigmund freud

Abstract

The research focuses on exploring the structure and function of the Karimongkong folk tale through a qualitative approach. Three analytical perspectives—structural, functional, and interpretive—are employed. The data is obtained by downloading the story, and thoroughly analyzing its components such as characters, setting, theme, plot, and underlying message. The story's significance is examined within the social and cultural contexts. The findings reveal that Karimongkong portrays the journey of a determined young man from a humble background who confronts obstacles and rejection, conveying moral values of resilience, familial love, and loyalty. Set in the village of Muer within the Plampang district, the tale revolves around the themes of determination and courage in the face of challenges, progressing from character introduction to Karimongkong and his family's blissful life. While the function of this folklore is used to protect people's expectations, legalize the rules of customary institutions, regulate behavior, and create cultural identity. This research enhances comprehension of the structure and purpose of folk tales, which inspire bravery, determination, and affection.

Abstract

A novel is an art form that is used to convey messages and meanings to readers or viewers by language. However, understanding its message requires an approach. One approach that can be used is the structuralism approach. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to understand how the narrative structure in the novel influences the meaning and message that the author wants to convey. This study will use the method of structuralism analysis to identify important elements in the novel, such as characters, plot, setting, theme, etc., and how these elements are interrelated and influence the meaning and message to be conveyed. This analysis reveals that the analysis of structuralism in the novel "Warisan Masa Silam" by V. Lestari shows that this novel has strong characteristics and elements in building a story, including characters, plot, themes, and settings. This analysis result makes this novel a literary work that deserves further enjoyment and study.

Abstract

This research discusses the Effectiveness of Online-Based Social Welfare Services at the West Sumbawa District Social Office. It focuses on the effectiveness and quality of online-based social welfare services provided by the West Sumbawa District Social Office. This research aims to understand the impact and progress of online-based service implementation in the context of social welfare. This study utilizes a quantitative descriptive approach to gather the necessary data to measure the effectiveness and quality of social welfare services at the West Sumbawa District Social Office. The results of the analysis of the effectiveness of online-based social welfare services show that the implementation significantly improves the effectiveness of social welfare services. Factors such as the implementation of standard operating procedures, timeliness of service completion, cost transparency, quality of facilities and infrastructure, staff behavior, and qualifications all have a positive impact on service performance.
