Abstract

The spirit of reform resulted in a new system of governance called regionalautonomy and a regional development strategy as well as the empowerment anddevelopment in accordance with the conditions of Indonesian society is currently inprogress in order to develop democracy in various aspects. This strategy isimplemented as a counter to the economic crisis and the confidence which thenimpact on the change of political power in Indonesia. Regional autonomy and theproblem has been a growing discourse in line with the implementation of regionalautonomy in Indonesia. Regional autonomy is an idea that is ideal for the Republicof Indonesia, but it does not mean that the concept can be implemented simplyflawless and shortcomings. The implementation of regional autonomy and theproblem is still to be studied for academicians and practitioners government,because our country is currently still continue to seek the most appropriate form inthe Indonesian community welfare efforts. The negative impact of the emergence ofregional autonomy is an opportunity for the individuals at the local level for variousoffenses , the appearance of conflict between the central government , and theemergence of the gap between high -income areas Dangan area stillberkembang.Bisa seen that there are still many problems accompany the passageof regional autonomy in Indonesia . The problems that would have sought a solutionand the solution so that the original purpose or noble ideals of autonomy can beachieved and realized will.Keywords: Local autonomy, economic crisis, reform, strategy, counter

Abstract

Introduction to The Problem: Zakat, a core Islamic practice, mandates Muslims to give to needy people. Indonesia's sizable Muslim population and Islamic financial institutions create substantial zakat potential. However, effective collection and distribution face hurdles, including a lack of understanding, trust, and optimal management. Legislation and education efforts aim to improve zakat management, with transparency and good governance crucial. Enhancing public awareness and accountability can unlock the full potential of zakat funds for social welfare.Purpose/Objective Study: This study aims to analyze the effect of Sharia compliance, Good Corporate Governance, and Amil Zakat competence on zakat management in North Sumatra Province.Design/Methodology/Approach: The population of this study is all Amil Zakat in North Sumatra Province, while the sample is all managers of the Institution of Zakat in North Sumatra Province which are under the auspices of the National Board of Zakat Republic of Indonesia (BAZNAS) of North Sumatra Province. Data were collected through a questionnaire instrument and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis.Findings: The results of the study show that Sharia compliance has a positive and significant influence on the management of zakat. The implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in zakat management institutions also has a positive impact on zakat fund collection, good reputation, and transparency and accountability in the distribution of zakat funds. As well as amil competence also has a positive and significant influence on the management of zakat. The results of the study also emphasize the importance of Sharia compliance, the implementation of Good Corporate Governance, and increasing the competence of amil in zakat management. To improve zakat management, zakat institutions, government and society need to work together to ensure fair, transparent and competitive zakat management.

Abstract

AbstractThe condition of the many shellfish wastes in Tanjung Balai City in North Sumatra Province makes a concern to the "Karya Working Group" as a part of Prosperous Family Income Improvement Business Group (an initiative from Indonesia’s National Family Planning board to improve family welfares; abbreviated as UPPKS) led by Mrs. Khalijah. The productivity of the Karya working group can be optimized considering that there are quite a lot of orders that have not been able to be fulfilled by them. Some of the obstacles in the management of this seashell handicraft business include the manual rinsing of seashells resulting in a long waiting time for further processing of production with the use of the same workforce; order-based marketing and relatively limited product innovation. In some aspects, similar shell craft products produced by competitors, especially in Java, have relatively better quality considering the products in question have been produced to scale exports to foreign countries. This mentoring activity in the management of product business managed by UPPKS Karya consisted of the use of technology for clamshell cleaning, assistance in utilizing e-marketing through social media and a more varied range of products that have contributed to increased effectiveness and efficiency in the production and marketing of handicraft products from clamshell waste produced by the Work UPPKS. In the future, UPPKS Karya's technological literacy is expected to continue to be able to increase its creativity through the exploration of product designs inspired by cyberspace for improving the competitiveness of products produced.Keywords: Shell Waste, Souvenir Crafts, E-Marketing, Tanjung Balai.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini untuk membantu mitra usaha Roti Donat Tamimy yang terletak di Desa Medan Krio Kecamatan Sunggal dalam peningkatan produktivitas usaha roti donatnya dengan merancang teknologi tepat guna Oven Pemanggang Roti/Donat yang berbahan stainless. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan pada minggu terakhir bulan Juni Tahun 2023 yang berlokasi dilokasi tempat usaha mitra. Kegiatan ini diterapkan dengan metode pendidikan, pelatihan dan pendampingan yang disertai dengan praktikum. Secara garis besar, kegiatan pengabdian ini telah berhasil dengan baik, rancangan alat TTG Oven Pemanggang yang telah dibangun diserahkan kepada mitra disertai dengan praktik penggunaan alat TTG Oven pemanggang tersebut. Kegiatan ini selain menghasilkan peningkatan produktivitas usaha mitra juga menghasilkan peningkatan wawasan dan pengetahuan mitra terhadap penggunaan alat TTG tersebut

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nexus between macroeconomic conditions, Islamic banking performance, and MSME financing in Indonesia. Utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and secondary data spanning January 2020 to June 2023, the research analyzes the direct effects of macroeconomic factors on both the financial performance of Islamic banks and the provision of financing to MSMEs.  The findings indicate a statistically significant positive relationship between macroeconomic stability and both Islamic banking financial performance and MSME financing. Conversely, the study reveals no statistically significant relationship between the financial performance of Islamic banks and the scale of MSME financing during the period. These results underscore the critical role of macroeconomic stability as a primary determinant of financial performance for both Islamic banks and MSMEs, particularly during periods of economic crisis.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Dari Krisis ke Stabilitas: Bagaimana Makroekonomi Membentuk Masa Depan Perbankan Syariah dan UMKM? Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak pandemi COVID-19 terhadap keterkaitan antara kondisi makroekonomi, kinerja perbankan syariah, dan pembiayaan UMKM di Indonesia. Menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dan data sekunder yang mencakup periode Januari 2020 - Juni 2023, penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh langsung faktor-faktor makroekonomi terhadap kinerja keuangan bank syariah dan penyediaan pembiayaan kepada UMKM. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan secara statistik antara stabilitas makroekonomi dengan kinerja keuangan perbankan syariah dan pembiayaan UMKM. Sebaliknya, studi ini tidak menemukan hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara kinerja keuangan perbankan syariah dengan skala pembiayaan UMKM periode tersebut. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya stabilitas makroekonomi sebagai penentu utama kinerja keuangan, baik bagi bank syariah maupun UMKM, terutama dalam masa-masa krisis.
