Abstract

One of the fundamental journalistic skills required of students, particularly in the Indonesian Education and Literature Study Program, is the ability to write news that produces events that are directly experienced and observed in social reality. This research is a developmental one, and its goal is to make Moodle-based E-Learning media for learning to write news with tools like PowerPoint software, Google Slides, and moodle. This research is being conducted in the United Kingdom. The research and development method and the define, design, development, and dissemination (4D) development model are being utilized in this study. The data was gathered using a non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire distributed to two media experts and two material experts. Data analysis techniques used include validation analysis by experts using a Likert Scale. The results of the research are in the form of the feasibility of learning media products totaling three learning materials using a Likert scale with a score of 1-5 as follows: a) Media experts obtain a score of 82.31% from the validation results and are included in the very feasible category; b) Material experts get a score of 78.09% from the validation results and are included in the appropriate category. Based on the feasibility findings, it has been determined that Moodle-based E-Learning media is appropriate for news writing learning courses.

Abstract

This research aims to explore efforts to strengthen the character and reading interest of children at SDN Pulo Panjang 2 through the implementation of the School Literacy Movement in collaboration with KKM Kelompok 17 of Universitas Bina Bangsa, along with Motor Literasi (MOLI). Character education is the primary focus in shaping the moral character of students, with an emphasis on values such as responsibility, self-confidence, and appreciation. Additionally, this activity is designed to enhance children's reading interest through the integration of physical activities with literacy learning. The activity was carried out on July 29, 2023, with a total of 40 students. The methodology of this activity involved field analysis, literacy studies, and interviews. The data obtained will provide in-depth insights into how character strengthening and reading interest are integrated into the school curriculum and their impact on the moral development and reading interest of students. The results of this research are expected to provide valuable insights for other schools that are striving to integrate character strengthening and literacy to enhance the quality of moral and literacy education for children.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the rampant use of prokem language in the Indonesian population, especially among students. This research aims to: 1) to know the form of prokem language used by students, 2) to know the impact of using prokem language in everyday life and 3) to know the effect of using prokem language on the existence of Indonesian language among students. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques used were participant observation techniques and questionnaires. Respondents in this study were prokem students, selected using simple random sampling technique. The results showed: There are 5 forms of prokem language that are often used by students, 2) negative and positive impacts of using prokem language among students in daily communication, 3) the use of prokem language affects the existence of Indonesian language.
