Abstract

This research discusses how the personality changes experienced by Dasiyah (Jeng Yah) in the novel Gadis Kretek by Ratih Kumala. The theory used in this study is Sigmund Freud's literary psychology. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The data source is taken from the novel Gadis Kretek by Ratih Kumala, published in 2012, this novel consists of 288 pages. The results of the research obtained refer to the data analyzed in the form of quotes consisting of Phrases, sentences, and paragraphs. The purpose of this research is to show the psychological aspects of id, ego, and superego literature, as well as personality changes experienced by Dasiyah (Jeng Yah).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mendeskripsikan psikologis karakter tokoh yaitu Adara dalam novel Arial dan Adara karya HeloBagas melalui pendekatan aspek Id, Ego, Superego, sebagaimana dijelaskan dalam pemikiran Sigmund Freud. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data membaca dan mencatat, dapat menghasilkan aspek-aspek psikologis yang muncul dalam masalah internal maupun eksternal, keputusan moral, dan pertimbangan sosial dari tokoh Adara. Penelitian ini juga dapat menjawab jika penulis novel secara sadar dan tidak sadar memasukan elemen-emelen pemikiran Sigmund Freud kedalam narasi cerita pada novel ini. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dan pemahaman lanjut tentang pengaruh teori psikologi sastra.Kata Kunci: Novel, Psikologi Sastra, Sigmund Freud

Abstract

This research discusses the issue of oppression of women in the novel Against the Slavery System by Nawal El Saadawi. The aim of this research is to describe the forms of women's oppression that occur in the novel Against the Slavery System, and how the female characters in the novel Against the Slavery System struggle against oppression. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data source is the novel Against the Slavery System, by Nawal El Saadawi, published in 2022. This novel consists of 230 pages and chapters in e-book form. The research results obtained are in accordance with the data analyzed in the form of quotations consisting of phrases, sentences, paragraphs and conversations from the novel Against the Slavery System. Keywords: Feminism, Girl, Literary Criticism. AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas persoalan penindasan terhadap perempuan dalam novel Melawan Sistem Perbudakan karya Nawal El Saadawi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk penindasan perempuan yang terjadi dalam novel Melawan Sistem Perbudakan, dan bagaimana tokoh perempuan dalam novel Melawan Sistem Perbudakan berjuang melawan penindasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data adalah novel Melawan Sistem Perbudakan, oleh Nawal El Saadawi, diterbitkan pada tahun 2022. Novel ini terdiri dari 230 halaman dan bab dalam bentuk e-book. Hasil penelitian yang didapat sesuai data yang dianalisis berupa kutipan yang terdiri atas frasa, kalimat, paragraf, dan percakapan berasal dari novel Melawan Sistem Perbudakan. Kata Kunci: Feminisme, Perempuan, Kritik Sastra.

Abstract

Ecotourism is a tourism sector that has the potential to support the national economy, ecotourism can also be utilized by local governments to increase their own local income. UI Park, located in the University of Indonesia area, has great potential as an ecotourism destination on weekends. As a vast green area and has a rich biodiversity, Taman UI offers the potential for a refreshing and educational nature tourism experience for the local community and tourists. This paper aims to analyze and explain various aspects related to the use of UI Park as an ecotourism destination on weekends. In this paper, we will examine the factors that affect the tourist attraction of Taman UI, the potential of existing biodiversity, the needs of visitors, and development strategies that can be done to improve the utilization and sustainability of Taman UI as a sustainable ecotourism destination.

Abstract

This research analyzes the meaning of the Traditional Ceremony Process of Making Rume and the Existence of the Betawi Language. The lack of knowledge regarding Betawi Culture in today's society has sparked the enthusiasm of researchers to research this object. The aim is to know and understand the meaning of the Bikin Rume Traditional Ceremony Process and the existence of the Betawi language. The theories used in this research are Semantic theory and supporting theories of Cultural Anthropology. The method used in this research is qualitative. This research uses observation techniques (interviews) and questionnaires (questionnaires). The observation technique is a data collection technique using in-depth interviews. The questionnaire technique (questionnaire) is a list of questions related to the problem being studied. The results obtained are the meaning of the Traditional Ceremony Process of Making Rume and the Existence of the Betawi Language.

Abstract

Hypertension is the second most common disease in the world, and the majority of those who suffer from it are adults. This study seeks interventions for lowering the prevalence of hypertension in the elderly and controlling blood pressure. This study compared the effects of tomato juice and watermelon juice in decreasing blood pressure in hypertensive patients at UPT Puskesmas Karang Intan 2 between the ages of 26 and 45, South Kalimantan. With pretest and post-test groups, this study used a quasi-experimental design. Thirty-two respondents were divided into intervention group 1 (watermelon juice) and intervention group 2 (tomato juice). Respondents were chosen based on research criteria and given interventions for five days. The Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests were used to analyze the data. Watermelon juice and tomato juice had the same effect in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients aged 26 and 45 (p=0.102, =0.05). It implies that they were equally effective at lowering blood pressure because they contain the same beneficial substances in controlling blood pressure, such as potassium and citrulline.
