Abstract

Introduction: Extraordinary policies have been launched by the government to reduce Maternal Mortality Rate/ Infant Mortality Rate (MMR/IMR) , however this has not been comparable with the expected results. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Katoga's multi-level education on the competence of cadres, public figure, and families in preventing, detecting early and handling emergency pregnancy to reduce MMR/IMR. Methods: This research study used action research with stratified respondents, 10 health cadres who will provide training to 30 community leader respondents and subsequently public figure will provide training to 60 selected families with simple random sampling. The independent variable was multi-level education and the dependent variable was competence in early detection of emergencies in pregnancy. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed by t-test. Results: The results showed that the increasing of the competence in preventing, early detecting and handling emergency pregnancy after receiving multilevel education training in health cadres from the previous value of 70 to 93; in community leaders from 61.1 to 80.5 and in families from 58.0 to 78.9. There was a significant increase in competency with multi-level education training in increasing competency in a larger population with a cadre pValue of 0.003; community leaders 0,000 and families 0,000. Conclusions: Community empowerment in the health sector through multi-level education can spread knowledge in preventing, detecting high-risk pregnancies early and managing maternal emergencies so as to facilitate the task of health nurses to obtain information about pregnant women detected as high-risk populations.

Abstract

People with asthma may have initial or repeated attacks. The occurrence of re-attack or the occurrence of relapse can be experienced when in the school environment. Health care in schools involves the Red Cross.The knowledge and understanding of adolescents in schools is still very lacking, so education is needed. Education carried out in community service activities is carried out using the lecture method, interactive question and answer and role play.Community service activities are carried out in two stages, including the first stage, the speaker conveys to the selected Red Cross members for regeneration. Then the second stage of the selected Red Cross members educates other Red Cross members who are represented by two students or students in each class. This education aims to increase the knowledge of Red Cross members about the concept of asthma, simple handling and buteyko breathing in asthma. The target of the activity is Red Cross members totaling 40 people in MAN 2 Kediri.The evaluation of the success of the activities was carried out pre-test and post-test using questionnaires and observations, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed ranks statistical test. Based on the wilcoxon statistical test, the value of asymp sig 0.01 <0.05 H0 is rejected. Ha is accepted, it means that there is a difference in the average knowledge between pre and post education given the role play method. These results indicate a positive increase in 40 people experiencing an increase in knowledge. It is hoped that based on Red Cross members, they are able to provide simple treatment if there is a recurrence of asthma sufferers in the school environment.

Abstract

Drowning is a case of an accident while in the water, consciously while swimming, or an indirect result such as the victim being drunk or under the influence of drugs. Drowning poses a risk of respiratory problems, thus requiring basic life support (BHD) which is a series of rescue measures to maintain life before getting further medical help. By providing first aid training in drowning cases to high school students, it is hoped that they will be able to help and disseminate this information to their friends, family and the wider community. The method of implementing this activity is a problem-based learning method and skill demonstration. The target of this activity is 36 students of SMAN Plemahan, Kediri Regency. The results of this community service have succeeded in increasing knowledge which previously lacked knowledge level of 55.55%, sufficient 27.78%, good 16.67% to less knowledge level 13.89%, sufficient 30.56%, good 55.5%. Meanwhile, psychomotor abilities also increased to sufficient category as much as 30.56% and good as much as 55.55%, which means that more than half of the participants had good psychomotor abilities in demonstrating first aid in drowning cases. The benefits of this activity are expected to be able to disseminate information to their respective families so that the scope of the community who understands first aid for drowning cases becomes wider.

Abstract

The shift in the learning process due to the pandemic is needed online, requiring the creativity of lecturers to achieve learning goals. The purpose of this study is to find a bold learning model that is effective in learning achievement. This research method: Classroom Action Research includes planning, implementing, observing and evaluating the process and results of actions, reflecting and so on until learning outcomes are achieved. Sampling is total sampling in the third semester students bachelor of nursing study program Institute of Health Sciences Karya Husada Kediri as much 86 people. Evaluation of learning outcomes is done online, assignments, observations and attendance. The results of the study that the online learning model took place effectively in the third semester of nursing students. Students can access shared materials and videos to repeat study independently. Learning outcomes increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2 and so on from the initial average value of 55 to 60, 70, 80 and so on. Meanwhile, nursing skills, which were originally competent students from 5 became 10 and decreased again to 3 in the newborn baby resuscitation technique (a more advanced technique). difficult). The total value of theory and laboratory is an average of 80.The online method with innovation and a combination of assignments, pre-tests, quizzes and post-tests as well as modifications with blended learning is effective in increasing learning outcomes both knowledge and skills in maternity nursing courses.It is necessary to develop a method to adjust the situation. conditions and needs of students.
