This study aimed to determine the effect of the role-playing method on student learning outcomes in social studies. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students who were grouped into experimental and control groups. Methods of data collection using observation, tests and documentation. The research instrument is the learning outcomes test's validity and the observation sheet's validity. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative, and quantitative. The results showed a significant effect of learning methods on learning outcomes. Students who get the role-playing method get higher learning outcomes than student who takes lessons with various lectures. The results of observations on the affective domain in the experimental group were in the score range of 18.71 (high), and the control group was in the score range of 11.9 (low). The average increase in learning outcomes was 19.1 in the experimental group and 9.35 in the control group.

Abstract

3D printing technology has revolutionized the way products are manufactured, and it has opened up new possibilities in the field of smart materials. Smart materials are materials that can change their properties in response to external stimuli, such as temperature, pressure, or light. By combining 3D printing technology with smart materials, highly customizable and responsive products are created. The addition of the time dimension to 3D printing has introduced 4D printing technology, which has gained considerable attention in different fields such as medical, art, and engineering. To bridge the gap in knowledge of 4D, this paper assessed the revolution in healthcare with 3D/4D printing and smart materials. Data was generated as part of a broader empirical study which sought to explore healthcare personnel and electrical engineers’ perception on the practices around the use of 3D/4D printing technology and smart materials. The main method used was structured interviews. 12 participant were purposively selected and interviewed including healthcare personnel and electrical engineers form Philippines and Nigeria. The findings reveal an array of activities undertaken using both 3D and 4D. Furthermore, the study revealed that 4D printing is a new generation of 3D printing. Another aspect of the 3D usage is the integration of electrical stimulation and smart implant as a new area of study in healthcare. 3D could also be used to monitoring the smart implant performance. The study also evaluate the possibility of using Internet of things (IoT) in the smart implant as some device embeds smart materials. Smart implant commonly used includes orthopedic applications, such as knee and hip replacement, spine fusion, and fracture fixation. The smart materials used in this technology are important because 3D printing allows printed structures to be dynamic. The paper highpoints is that 4D printing has great potential for the future.

Abstract

This article focuses on the utilization of educational technology in schools in the Philippines. The aim of the study is to provide recommendations for the effective use of EduTech in schools. The article takes a qualitative approach in presenting the author's perspective and opinion, supported by relevant literature. Educational technology is a phenomenon that is transforming the educational system of every school in the Philippines. However, there are several barriers to the effective implementation of EduTech, such as lack of infrastructure, teacher training, funding, digital divide, resistance to change, and technical difficulties. The article emphasizes the need for comprehensive and well-funded efforts to support the implementation and utilization of EduTech in schools in the Philippines. The study concludes that it is essential to educate teachers on the use of EduTech to ensure its effective implementation. Schools must also have adequate budgetary allocation to accommodate the use of technologies in instruction, and the digital divide between schools must be addressed to ensure that everyone has equal access to educational technology. Administrators should take the lead in promoting the use of EduTech in schools and creating an atmosphere that influences everyone to make use of these materials. By doing so, teachers and learners will be better equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving digital world.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in reducing and improving learning outcomes and math anxiety among students at a private elementary school in Indonesia. The research utilized a one-group control pre-posttest design with a sample of 51 4th-grade  students. The study used a combination of pre-test and post-test and a closed-ended questionnaire as the data collection instruments. The independent variable in the study was CTL, while the dependent variables were learning outcomes and math anxiety. The paired t-test showed a significant increase in the students' average learning outcomes and a decrease in the average math anxiety levels. The findings suggest that implementing CTL is a practical approach to reducing math anxiety and improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study, focusing on the Philippines, explores the benefits of implementing IoT (Internet of Things) technologies in modern agriculture. The primary objectives are to assess the impact of IoT on crop monitoring, livestock tracking, weather monitoring, automated irrigation, precision steering, greenhouse automation, and field mapping. The research methodology involved an extensive review of the current literature on IoT applications in agriculture and interviews and surveys with farmers and agricultural experts in the Philippines. Data were collected and analyzed to understand IoT adoption's practical implications and challenges in various agrarian domains. The findings indicate that IoT technologies offer significant advantages in enhancing agricultural practices in the Philippines. IoT-based crop monitoring provides real-time data on environmental conditions, enabling farmers to optimize irrigation, fertilization, and pest control. Livestock tracking through IoT ensures animal well-being and efficient breeding practices. IoT-based weather monitoring aids in informed decision-making for crop protection and risk management. Automated irrigation using IoT sensors reduces water wastage while improving crop health. Precision steering systems enhance resource management during planting and harvesting. Greenhouse automation optimizes plant growth conditions and reduces manual labour. Field mapping via IoT allows for site-specific management, improving yield and sustainability. Despite the benefits, challenges like internet connectivity and initial investment remain, necessitating comprehensive strategies for IoT integration in Philippine agriculture.
