Abstract

ABSTRAKMasalah gizi remaja sangat berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan, perkembangan tubuh dan dampaknya pada masalah gizi saat dewasa. Pengetahuan gizi yang cukup dapat menunjang ketepatan remaja memilih makanan sesuai dengan pola menu seimbang dan kebutuhannya. Peningkatan pengetahuan gizi dapat diberikan melalui media yang menarik, efektif, efisien. Instagram dan facebook adalah media sosial yang banyak digunakan remaja, mudah diakses, tidak terbatas ruang dan waktu. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis pengetahuan gizi remaja dengan instagram dan facebook. Jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Lendah dan SMAN 1 Wates masing-masing 42 remaja. Teknik sampling Purposive Sampling dan analisa data Wilcoxon Matched Pairs. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pretest kelompok intervensi 16,55 dan posttest 18,07 sedangkan kelompok kontrol pretest 17,36 dan posttest 17,62. Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan gizi remaja sebelum dan setelah perlakuan (p=0,000) sedangkan kelompok kontrol (p=0,266). Penggunaan media sosial yang tepat dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi remaja.Kata kunci: instagram, facebook, pengetahuan giziABSTRACTThe adolescent nutrition problems are very influence on the growth, body development and their impact on nutrition problems as adults. Enough nutrition knowledge can support the accuracy of adolescents in choosing food based on a balanced menu pattern and their needs. The increasing of nutrition knowledge can be given through media which are interesting, effective, efficient. Instagram and facebook are social media that are widely used by adolescents, accessible, not limited to space and time. The aim of this research was to analyze the knowledge of adolescent nutrition by instagram and facebook. The type of this research was Quasi Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were the students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Lendah and SMAN 1 Wates which each were consist of 42 adolescents. The sampling technique was Purposive Sampling and data analysis was Wilcoxon Matched Pairs. The results showed an average pretest value in the intervention group was 16,55 and posttest 18,07 while the pretest control group was 17,36 and posttest 17,62. Towards differences in adolescent nutrition knowledge before and after treatment (p = 0,000) while the control group (p = 0,266). The proper use of social media can improve nutrition knowledge of youth.Keywords: instagram, facebook, nutrition knowledge
