Abstract

Primary healthcare is one of the vehicles in learning for students of the medical profession. The preceptor clinic in primary healthcare is expected to guide and direct students studying there so that it can be effective. Integrated learning in all fields of medical science that is applied is expected to prepare medical graduates who are ready to enter the community. The symptom and sign approach is considered one of the effective methods in learning primary healthcare. Therefore, we intend to provide integrated clinical learning training using a module based on the symptom approach at primary healthcare. This community service involves ten primary healthcare located in the Boyolali and Klaten areas. The activity begins with exploring the problems that exist when guiding students of the medical profession who study primary healthcare. Then proceed with introducing guidance methods using clinical learning guides with a sign and symptom approach and ends with training evaluations. The participants of this activity received this training and provided some input regarding the existing modules. Suggestions from the primary healthcare preceptors were used as input to improve the modules that had been prepared.

Abstract

Factors influence variations in adolescent menstrual duration would change the hormonal rhythm of thehypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian cycle, so that it indirectly changes the level of secretion of the reproductive hormones.Nutritional intake is predicted to be one of the factors in the regulation of reproductive hormones, as wellas the sleep and wake cycles in a teenager. This study analyzed the relationship between macro nutrient intake andsleep duration with menstrual duration in adolescents aged 16-18 years. 120 adolescents was selected by usingcluster random sampling from 6 high schools in Magelang City-Central Java for this cross sectional study. Allof variable were collected through interview techniques using a questionnaire. Analysis with correlation test andmultiple linear regression used to analyze the relationship between each independent variable with the dependentvariable with a significance value <0.05 and the relationship of all independent variables on the dependent variable.The correlation (Pearson correlation test) between energy intake(r=0.397:p=0.000), fat(r=0.396:p=0.000),carbohydrate(r=0.337:p=0.000), and sleep duration(r=0.315:p=0.000) with menstrual duration was significant,whereas for protein intake (Spearman Rank test) was not significantly associated (r=0.018:p=0.841). The value ofR2 = 0.252.Based on this, it is important to regulate macro nutrient intake and sleep duration for having normalmenstrual duration.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Knowledge of learning styles is known to be useful for both teachers and students for allegedly influencing student achievement. This study aimed to determine the influence of learning styles on student achievement in first year student. Methods: This research was a comparative analytic research with cross sectional approach to the first year students of Medical Education Sebelas Maret University. There were 186 students as research subjects. Learning styles were measured using VARK questionnaire and student achievement obtained from 2nd semester GPA. Data were analyzed using Kruskal Wallis test and Mann-Whitney and continued with the spearman rank correlation test. Result: Kruskal Wallis test results showed no significant difference among the five groups of learning styles with a value of p = 0.483 (p > 0.05). Mann-Whitney test results also showed no significant differences in individual learning styles (p > 0.05). Spearman rank correlation test results showed no significant influence between learning styles and student achievement (rs < 0.20). Conclusion: There is no significant influence of learning styles on student achievement in first year students. Keyword: learning style, student achievement, VARK

Abstract

Introduction : Self-directed learning readiness (SDLR) is a persons readiness to study autonomically. The components of SDLR are self management, self control and academic motivation. These three components are usually correlated negatively with academic procrastination and feared to be a negative impact on learning. This research was aimed to find out the correlation between SDLR and academic procrastination in Medical Students of Medicine Faculty at Sebelas Maret University. Methods: This research was an analytical observation with cross sectional method. Sample of this research were all medical students of Medicine Faculty Sebelas Maret University. SDLR and academic procrastination were measured by questionnaire. The data were analyzed with Pearson correlation and linear regression. Results: Results of Pearson correlation were r = -0,37 and p = 0,000. Results of linear regression were one SDLR score would reduce as much as 0,23 academic procrastination score (p = 0,000) and the increase of age would elevate as much as 2,1 academic procrastination score (p = 0,031). Conclusion: There was a significant negative correlation between SDLR and academic procrastination in medical students of Medicine Faculty Sebelas Maret University. The strength of the correlation was low. One SDLR score would reduce as much as 0,23 academic procrastination score and the increase of age would elevate as much as 2,1 academic procrastination score. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Demam dengue merupakan penyakit endemis, terutama di daerah tropis. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang tergolong endemik untuk demam dengue. Kejadian demam dengue sangat berpengaruh pada penyebaran virus dengue melalui vektornya, yaitu nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyebab serta pencegahan demam dengue vital dalam pembasmian penyakit tersebut dari masyarakat.Metode: Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dilakukan di salah satu desa wilayah binaan Puskesmas Colomadu satu yaitu Desa Bolon, kecamatan Colomadu, Kabupaten Karanganyar.Hasil: Dari 21 rumah dan kepala keluarga yang telah diobservasi dan diwawancara, didapatkan hasil tingkat pendidikan kepala keluarga: SD (11 orang), SMP (1 orang), SMA/SMK (8 orang), dan perguruan tinggi (1 orang); hasil usia didapatkan: usia produktif (15 orang) dan lanjut usia (6 orang); hasil jenis kelamin didapatkan: laki-laki (16 orang) dan perempuan (5 orang); hasil jumlah anggota keluarga didapatkan: 0-4 orang (20 orang) dan lebih dari 4 orang (1 orang); dan hasil angka penemuan jentik: ada (3 rumah) dan tidak ada (18 rumah).Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan, usia, dan jenis kelamin kepala keluarga dengan penemuan jentik di desa Bolon, Colomadu.Kata kunci: level of education, age, gender, mosquito larva, Bolon Village, Colomadu, Karanganyar

Abstract

 Anemia is highly prevalent among Indonesian community, especially in pregnant women. Sleep duration and poor sleep patterns when someone is pregnant mayincrease therisk factors that affect the outcome of pregnancy. Protein requirements for pregnant women will increase as increasing gestational age. Lack of protein intake maycause low birth weight.The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlationof sleeping duration and protein intake in anemic pregnant women with the incidence of low birth weight babies.The study used a case control design. The subject of the study was anemic pregnant women in Sukoharjo who have been gaving birth from 2016 to 2018. Subjects wereselected using purposive sampling. Case was those who delivered normal baby’s weight and case was those who delivered low bird weight baby. 74 subjcts were in control group and 37 subjects were in case group.Sleeping duration was measured during sleep at night per hour and the quality of sleeping using PSQI from. Path analysiswasused to evaluate the association.The results showed that the association of sleeping duration of anemic pregnant women with incidence of LBW was not significant (p=0,285); protein intake withincidence of LBW was significant (p=0,019), and sleep quality anemic pregnant women with incidence of LBW was not significant (p=0,379). There is no significant direct and indirect associations (through sleep quality) of sleeping duration among anemic pregnant women withincidence of LBW, there is a significant associationof protein intake in anemic pregnant women with incidence of LBW, and there is no significant indirect association (through sleep quality) of protein intake in anemic pregnant women with incidence of LBW babies.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMasalah gizi remaja sangat berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan, perkembangan tubuh dan dampaknya pada masalah gizi saat dewasa. Pengetahuan gizi yang cukup dapat menunjang ketepatan remaja memilih makanan sesuai dengan pola menu seimbang dan kebutuhannya. Peningkatan pengetahuan gizi dapat diberikan melalui media yang menarik, efektif, efisien. Instagram dan facebook adalah media sosial yang banyak digunakan remaja, mudah diakses, tidak terbatas ruang dan waktu. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis pengetahuan gizi remaja dengan instagram dan facebook. Jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Lendah dan SMAN 1 Wates masing-masing 42 remaja. Teknik sampling Purposive Sampling dan analisa data Wilcoxon Matched Pairs. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pretest kelompok intervensi 16,55 dan posttest 18,07 sedangkan kelompok kontrol pretest 17,36 dan posttest 17,62. Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan gizi remaja sebelum dan setelah perlakuan (p=0,000) sedangkan kelompok kontrol (p=0,266). Penggunaan media sosial yang tepat dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi remaja.Kata kunci: instagram, facebook, pengetahuan giziABSTRACTThe adolescent nutrition problems are very influence on the growth, body development and their impact on nutrition problems as adults. The aim of this research was to analyze the knowledge of adolescent nutrition by instagram and facebook. The type of this research was Quasi Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were the students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Lendah and SMAN 1 Wates which each were consist of 42 adolescents. The sampling technique was Purposive Sampling and data analysis was Wilcoxon Matched Pairs. The results showed an average pretest value in the intervention group was 16,55 and posttest 18,07 while the pretest control group was 17,36 and posttest 17,62. Towards differences in adolescent nutrition knowledge before and after treatment (p = 0,000) while the control group (p = 0,266). Abstract

ABSTRAKBody image negatif sangat umum terjadi pada masa remaja dan mempunyai dampak buruk bagi kesehatan seperti meningkatnya resiko rendah diri, depresi, gangguan aktivitas fisik dan pola makan. Pendidikan gizi adalah salah satu intervensi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Media sosial telah menjadi bagian kehidupan remaja sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai media pendidikan. Pendidikan gizi dengan media sosial dapat dengan mudah diakses dan tidak terbatas pada ruang dan waktu. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan gizi dengan media sosial terhadap persepsi body image remaja. Jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental Design dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Wates dan SMAN 1 Lendah masing-masing 42 remaja. Penentuan dengan purposive sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama I bulan yaitu sebanyak 3 kali seminggu. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dengan SPSS. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan pendidikan gizi dengan media sosial mempengaruhi persepesi body image remaja (p=0.008). Ada pengaruh pendidikan gizi dengan media sosial terhadap persepsi body image remaja. Penggunaan media sosial yang tepat dapat membentuk persepsi body image positif pada remaja.Kata Kunci : Media sosial, persepsi body image, remajaABSTRACTNegative body image was very common in adolescence and had the impact of bad for health such as increased risk of low self-esteem, depression, impaired physical activity and eating patterns. Nutrition education was one of the interventions that can be done to overcome these problems. Social media had become a part of teenage life so it could be used as a medium of education. Nutrition education with social media could be easily accessed and it was not limited in time and space. The aim of this research was to analyze the effect of nutrition education with social media against the perception of body image teenagers. This type of research was Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group. The subjects were students of Class XI IPA SMAN 1 Wates and SMAN 1 Lendah each of 42 teenagers, purposive sampling with determination. The research was carried out during a month that is as much as 3 times a week. It used the Wilcoxon test data analysis with SPSS. The Wilcoxon test results showed nutrition education with social media affect teen body image persepesi (p = 0.008). There was influence of the nutrition education with social media against perception of body image teenagers.
