Abstract

Perlis Village used to be a mangrove forest, founded by fishermen from Perlis Country, Malaysia. At first they were looking for fish, then they were stranded on the island of Sumatra. Gradually, due to the occurrence of small-scale migration, many residents of Perlis Malaysia also stopped by this Perlis Village. In accordance with the title of community service, managing the financial planning of fishing families in the village of Perlis Langkat, the objectives of this activity are: Provide training on preparing family finances to increase the knowledge of family heads and housewives in managing family finances so they can set aside income for family savings. Abstract

Small & Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) face obstacles in preparing financial reporting according to standards, they do not know how much pure profit they will get, they do not understand basic knowledge of financial records, they do not understand financial application knowledge, and they have difficulty obtaining financing from financial institutions. The purpose of this community service is to increase understanding of basic knowledge of financial recording and improve the ability to operate financial applications through education and training in financial accounting based on the SIAPIK Financial Recording and Reporting application. The community service involved the SMEs of Wicker Menday Gallery & Souvenirs as well as Assistance in Dusun III Pantai Cermin. This community service is to explain and inform SIAPIK to UMKM Woven so that it can produce financial reports that are easier for both internal and banking needs. The method used in the training is a face-to-face & mentoring method, namely by analyzing and problem solving. Financial bookkeeping material is presented with lectures, training, questions and answers, demonstrations, and solving cases. The material is made in a simple and attractive way so that financial accounting material is easy for SMEs to understand. The results in training and mentoring are that, first, using SIAPIK is easy and can be used on several devices; secondly, the SIAPIK application can generate financial reports and financial analysis that can be used for internal or external purposes. However, SIAPIK needs to be assisted on an ongoing basis because the financial literacy and digital literacy of SMEs are not evenly distributed as a whole.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide understanding and assistance in evaluating marketing potential in the sale of pandan woven products in Dusun 3 Pantai Cermin Kanan. This community service activity is carried out by providing counseling in the form of outreach to the craftsmen of Pandan Menday Gallery & Souvenir. Through this activity, it is hoped that the craftsmen, especially the heads of the craftsmen's group, can determine the market share of the products made so that the range of product sales is wider. The participants in this community service activity totaled 23 craftsmen. The results of this community service are mapping product marketing first starting with recognizing business identity, namely by conducting a business SWOT analysis, strengthening business image/brand, then understanding the market by determining product STP stratgey.

Abstract

In today's era of digitalization, the implementation of effective marketing strategies becomes crucial for the growth of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Sekar Handycraft, as an example of an SME in the handicraft sector, faces challenges in enhancing visibility and market access. This research utilizes a quantitative approach with a survey method involving data collection through questionnaires from Sekar Handycraft customers. Linear regression analysis is employed to measure the relationship between the implementation of digital marketing and income improvement. The research results indicate that the implementation of digital marketing has a positive and significant impact on the income improvement of Sekar Handycraft as an SME. These findings suggest that digital marketing strategies, including the utilization of social media, websites, and e-commerce platforms, can enhance product exposure and expand market reach for SMEs. In the context of global competition, adapting to digital marketing tools becomes a necessity for SMEs to remain relevant and sustainable. This research provides insights into the importance of digital transformation in SME development and offers guidance to similar businesses on optimizing the use of digital platforms to boost income. However, aspects such as technological access capability and understanding of digital marketing also need to be considered to fully realize the benefits of these strategies.

Abstract

Understanding the impact of social media utilization strategies that can attract consumer attention in order to increase product marketing is essential. Social media brings various benefits in a business context, such as increasing business exposure, expanding target market reach, building public interest and brand awareness, and providing a tool to measure the success of marketing campaigns. Sekar Handycraft SME are currently not optimizing the use of social media due to limited understanding of attracting consumer attention, which is the main cause. Therefore, to increase the competence of the Sekar Handycraft team, it is necessary to organize workshops or training to deepen understanding of the effects of using social media strategies in increasing product promotion. Through community service efforts at SME Sekar Handycraft, it is hoped that knowledge about social media utilization strategies can become a valuable asset for the SME Sekar Handycraft team so that they can more efficiently use social media to intensify product marketing.
