<![CDATA[Joint pain is a prevalent disease among the elderly, and treatment can be carried out through pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. Infrared and acupressure therapies are two effective solutions to alleviate this problem. In this community service, we utilized infrared therapy and acupressure therapy to reduce joint pain. A quasi-experimental study with a control group pretest-posttest design was conducted, and the therapy was administered five times. The activity took place on June 29, 2022, in Gue Village, Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar, and was facilitated by D3 Nursing lecturers with the assistance of students. The study's findings indicate a decrease in the pain scale from an average of 5.30% before therapy to 2.40% after therapy among 20 elderly patients. This therapy can be imparted to health cadres in the community and is a viable option for managing joint pain.]]>

<![CDATA[Immobility in the elderly can cause muscle stiffness, pain, and impaired movement, highlighting the need for families to understand the potential effects of immobilization beyond just taking special care of their elderly members. This study aims to describe the risk factors for falls among the elderly in the working area of Krueng Barona Jaya Health Center. A descriptive design using a cross-sectional approach was employed, with a sample of 65 respondents. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire sheet. The findings revealed that the highest distribution of fall risk was in the high category, with 33 respondents (50.8%) at risk of falling. The study's outcomes can serve as a guide for healthcare professionals in providing appropriate services to elderly patients, particularly those at risk of falls.]]>

<![CDATA[In Indonesia, the highest prevalence is in the Province of Bali with 11% per 1000 population suffering from schizophrenia, while Aceh is ranked the fourth highest in Indonesia in severe mental disorders (schizophrenia). Medical record data, patients treated at the Aceh Government Mental Hospital in 2019 amounted to 4241 patients. In 2020 the number of patients treated was 1053 patients. This study aims to determine the description of the recurrence factor in schizophrenia patients at the Aceh Government Mental Hospital. This study is descriptive, the population of recurrence patients is 187 patients. Sampling of this research is proportional stratified random sampling as many as 65 respondents. This research was carried out in the inpatient room of the Aceh Mental Hospital and was carried out from 30 June to 05 July 2020. Data collection was carried out by means of guided interviews using a questionnaire. The results showed that the patient's compliance variable taking medication was 61.5% less, family support in the less category was 53.8% and the environmental support around the less category was 56.9%. It is expected that respondents will be more motivated and obedient during the treatment period and seek alternativeactivities to avoid maladaptive attitudes and behavior, for families and communities thecommunity should accept, understand and help patients and families in dealing withsituations that occur in their environment, so that they feel accepted and appreciated, forthe management of the Aceh Government Hospital to improve education about theimportance of taking medicine and make information facilities for patients and families inthe form of print media, for educational institutions it is expected to provide information fornursing education, especially psychiatric nursing about what factors influence and mostinfluence on the recurrence of schizophrenic patients, and for further researchers it isrecommended to conduct further research with a longer time and a larger sample size inorder to obtain more significant results.Keywords: Relapse, schizophrenia]]>

<![CDATA[Peran Kepala Keluarga sangat penting dalam penerapan Prilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS), kepala keluarga dapat menjadi pengontrol utama didalam keluarga dalam penerapan PHBS, oleh karena itu kepala keluarga perlu menjadi contoh bagi anggota keluarga yang lain dalam penerapan BHBS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menegathui Sikap Kepala Keluarga terhadap perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) di Desa Lampoh Keudee Kecamatan Kuta Baro Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 85 responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di Gampong Lampoh Keudee Kecamatan Kuta Baro Kabupaten Aceh Besar Tahun 2019 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan sikap kepala keluarga terhadap perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat berada dalam katagori Negatif sebanyak 52 responden (61,18%) sedangkan positif sebanyak 33 responden (38,83%). Jika dilihat dari masing-masing variable maka Sikap kepala keluarga di Gampong Lampoh Keudee Kecamatan Kuta Baro Kabupaten Aceh Besar dalam tidak merokok didalam rumah berada pada negatif yaitu sebanyak 43 respoden (50,59%). Sedangkan Sikap kepala keluarga di Gampong Lampoh Keudee Kecamatan Kuta Baro Kabupaten Aceh Besar dalam pemberantasan jentik nyamuk berada pada negatif yaitu sebanyak 52 respoden (61,18%), dan sikap kepala keluarga di Gampong Lampoh Keudee Kecamatan Kuta Baro Kabupaten Aceh Besar dalam aktifitas fisik sehari-hari berada pada negatif yaitu sebanyak 50 respoden (58,83%)]]>

<![CDATA[Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) is a global pandemic, where one of the provinces in Indonesia experiencing local transmission is Aceh. Children can become victims of invisible Covid-19 transmission because it is transmitted by their families. Therefore, knowledge of mothers is very much needed in preventing Covid-19 in children. This study aims to describe the knowledge of mothers about preventing Covid-19 in children in Lampoh Keude Village, Aceh Besar. This research is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional study design. The population in this study were all mothers who had children in Lampoh Keude Village, Aceh Besar. Sampling was done by total sampling technique so that 45 respondents were obtained. Data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire distributed to respondents with 16 questions. The results showed that mother's knowledge about preventing Covid-19 in children was in the high category of 27 respondents (60%), mother's knowledge about prevention of Covid-19 in children based on early detection and control aspects was high, with 27 respondents (60%), based on aspects of administrative control in the low category are 24 respondents (53.3%), and based on environmental control aspects in the high category are 23 respondents (51.1%). Based on the results of this study, it is recommended for mothers to increase knowledge about preventing Covid-19 in children in order to avoid transmission of the Covid-19 virus and create a healthy and prosperous social life.Keywords: Knowledge, Mother, Covid-19 Prevention]]>

<![CDATA[Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) merupakan global pandemic, dimana salahsatu provinsi di Indonesia yang mengalami transmisi lokal adalah Aceh. Lansia dapatmenjadi korban penularan Covid-19 yang tidak terlihat karena ditularkan oleh keluarganya.Maka, sangat dibutuhkan perilaku lansia dalam pencegahan COVID-19. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku pencegahan penularan COVID-19 padalansia di Gampong Pasheu Beutong Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif deskriptifdengan desain cross sectional study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia yangada di Gampong Pasheu Beutong Aceh Besar. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan tekniktotal sampling sehingga diperoleh 70 responden. Alat pengumpulan data dalam bentukkuesioner yang dibagikan kepada responden dengan 29 pernyataan. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa perilaku lansia tentang pencegahan penularan COVID-19 dalamkategori kurang sejumlah 37 responden (52%), perilaku lansia tentang pencegahan penularanCOVID-19 berdasarkan aspek pengetahuan adalah kurang sejumlah 37 responden (53%),berdasarkan aspek sikap dalam kategori kurang sejumlah 37 responden (53%), danberdasarkan aspek tindakan dalam kategori kurang sejumlah 36 responden (52%).Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan kepada para lansia untuk meningkatkan perilakutentang pencegahan penularan COVID-19 agar terhindar dari penularan virus COVID-19dan menciptakan kehidupan bermasyarakat yang sehat dan sejahtera.Kata Kunci: Perilaku, Lansia, Pencegahan COVID-19]]>

<![CDATA[Melahirkan merupakan puncak peristiwa dari serangkaian proses kehamilan, terdapat dua cara persalinan yaitu persalinan pervagina dan operasi caesar atau dikenal dengan sectio caesaria. Cepat lambatnya penyembuhan luka pasca SC dapat diatasi dengan cara melakukan mobilisasi dini pasca operasi. Data yang diperoleh dari Laporan Rumah Sakit Umum dr Zainoel Abidin, pada periode Januari s/d September 2021 dari jumlah persalinan sebanyak 2.673, terdapat sebanyak 990 ibu (37,0%) bersalin dengan tindakan sectio caesaria. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan mobilisasi dini ibu post sectio caesarea dengan penyembuhan luka operasi di Ruang Arafah 3 Rumah Sakit Umum dr. Zainoel Abidin tahun 2021. Desain penelitian bersifat analitik melalui pendekatan cross sectional, penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 September s/d 2 Desember 2021. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang menjalani persalinan dengan sectio caesarea menggunakan rumus lameshow berjumlah 43 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel teknik accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji chi-square diperoleh hasil bahwa ada hubungan mobilisasi dini ibu post sectio caesarea dengan penyembuhan luka operasi di Ruang Arafah 3 Rumah Sakit Umum dr. Zainoel Abidin, dengan nilai p=0,007. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan peran tenaga kesehatan dalam melakukan perawatan luka melalui pembersihan luka, kondisi sterilisasi, pengobatan yang adekuat, melindungi luka dari cedera yang lebih lanjut, melindungi luka dari kontaminasi mikroorganisme dan mengantikan balutan dengan teknik aseptik dan sesuai prosedur serta membantu proses mobilisasi dini responden post operasi section caesarea, sehingga membantu mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka.Kata Kunci: Mobilisasi dini, Penyembuhan luka operasi]]>

<![CDATA[The growth of teenage girls change physically and psychologically. These girls tend to experience several symptoms before the menstrual phase-physical, psychological, and behavioral alteration that occur regularly during the menstrual period. The PMS symptoms that experience by teenage girls is painful cramps often accompanied by sleep quality disturbance. Poor sleep quality can affect to long-term physical disorders. This study aims to analyze the relationship between incidences of premenstrual syndrome and sleep quality among teenage girls. This study was a quantitative correlation study with a cross-sectional design. The primary data collection carried out on March 2nd-15th, 2023. The population in this study were all female students of SMPN 3 Unggul Ingin Jaya, a total of 280 students. The sampling technique used a proportional sampling technique involving 74 respondents. The Chi-Square test using univariate and bivariate statistical analysis showed the level of premenstrual syndrome among these girls experienced mild category (32.4%), moderate (37.8%), and severe (29.7%). The result also indicated that the level of sleep quality (10.8%) of respondents had good sleep quality. The rest of respondents (89.2%) had poor sleep quality. In conclusion, the result shows a relationship between PMS and sleep quality (p=0.020) of premenstrual syndrome among students at SMPN 3 Unggul Ingin Jaya, Aceh Besar. It expects that female students as respondents can utilize this study as input to enrich in-depth information if they experience premenstrual syndrome.]]>

<![CDATA[Washing hands 6 steps is one way that can be used to overcome disease problems such as diarrhea or intestinal worms. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of children in Village Lamteube Geupula in carrying out hand washing. The socialization method is carried out by counseling and demonstrations, this activity is carried out for approximately 2 hours and evaluation. The results obtained from this community service are changes in children's knowledge about 6-step hand washing. This community service activity was carried out on June 27 2023 in the village multipurpose hall, at 10.00 WIB until it finished at 11.40 WIB. Intervention activities were carried out by lecturers and students. Activities carried out directly with counseling and demonstrations. The target of community service activities is 26 children in Village Lamteube Geupula.]]>
