Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kapal penumpang milik Perseroan Terbatas Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (PT. PELNI) masih tergolong umur ekonomis, untuk Mengetahui jumlah kapal penumpang milik PT. PELNI yang masih tergolong di dalam umur teknis dan untuk mengetahui kebijakan dalam menanggulangi kapal yang tidak ekonomis. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Data sekunder yaitu data yang diperoleh dari laporan-laporan tertulis serta informasi lainnya mengenai kapal penumpang milik PT. PELNI, dan data primer melalui Wawancara langsung dan observasi di lapangan. Adapun metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis deskriptif dan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dari 26 Unit Armada kapal milik PT. PELNI yang masuk kategori Umur Ekonomis berjumlah 16 Unit Armada atau dibawah umur 25 tahun masa pakainya. Sementara untuk kapal penumpang milik PT. PELNI yang termasuk kategori umur teknis berjumlah 10 Unit armada dengan masa pakai di atas 25 tahun sampai dengan 32 tahun (Hasil Analisis Data dari Penulis). Kebijakan yang diambil oleh PT. PELNI terhadap kapal-kapal yang tidakekonomis adalah dengan melakukan perawatan berkala sehingga penjadwalan maintenance / perbaikan tepat waktu, baik Annual survey (AS), Intermediate Survey (IS), dan Special Survey (SS) sehingga pada akhirnya kapal-kapal penumpang PT. PELNI selalu memenuhi regulasi yang ada sehingga kapal tetap laik operasi, laik laut dan laik layanan. Serta Repowering / Pengembalian performa. Umur ekonomis kapal disesuaikan dengan kebijakan Menteri keuangan yang umur ekonomiskapal dari 25 tahun menjadi 20 tahun. Dan umur teknis ½ kali dari umur ekonomis menjadi 30 Tahun. Kapal yang sudah melewati 30 tahun harus di scrab untuk keselamatan pelayaran.

Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan mengkaji pemanfaatan Google Scholar di Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar ini dilaksanakan dalam rangka mendukung proses persiapan penerapan sistem pembelajaran e-learning di Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar. Selain itu riset ini juga mengkaji tingkat penguasaan Google Scholar di Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar. Lokus penelitian adalah Kampus II Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar. Kampus II berlokasi di jalan Daengta Qalia, Salodong, Kecamatan Untia, Kota Makassar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode analisis deskriptif. Teknik inidigunakan untuk memberikan gambaran umum data penelitian dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik responden. Sementara metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah melalui metode dokumentasi dan metode kuesioner. Sample penelitian berjumlah 59 orang taruna yang duduk di kelas Teknika IIIE, IIIF, Nautika IIIF, IIIG dan lulus seleksi pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jumlah penggunaan Google Scholar adalah cukup banyak. Atau dengan kata lain sebagian besar (24 orang sample dari 59 orang populasi) atau 40,68% responden memilih jawaban tersebut. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penguasaan Google Scholar di Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar adalahcukup mahir. Artinya sebagian besar responden yang berjumlah 26 (dua puluh enam) orang atau 44,07% memilih jawaban tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of cargo control at KM Madani Nusantara at Parepare Port, causing over load and over dimension in relation to ship stability and safety. PT. Prima Vista is a private shipping company engaged in the transportation of goods and services, especially passenger and vehicle transportation services. Along with the demands of today's modern society, transportation, especially sea transportation related to passenger safety and passenger service, has experienced many developments in terms of the quality and safety of modern, fast sea transportation which is no less important than the demands for comfort while on a cruise. km. Madani Nusantara is one of the Ro-Ro ships owned by PT. Prima Vista which connects Sulawesi and Kalimantan. This study uses a descriptive method that describes certain events that occurred in KM Madani Nusantara. The writer on this ship works as a captain. The results of this study indicate that in the control of cargo on the KM Madani Nusantara ship there is often a load that is not in accordance with the specified capacity or known as over loading and over dimension which is abbreviated as ODOL so that it can cause the ship to tilt.

Abstract

This research aims to develop problem-solving strategies for strength-opportunity, weakness-opportunity, strength-threat, and weakness-threat analysis in the context of developing and implementing an Integrated Learning Management System (ILCMS) in universities. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, some suggested strategies include building partnerships and collaboration between universities, integrating student skills, improving infrastructure, adopting the latest technology, and advocating to the government. These strategies are expected to strengthen the implementation of SMPT and improve the quality of education in universities. In addition, this research also explores problem-solving strategies against the strength-threat, weakness-opportunity, and weakness-threat analyses. These strategies include building industry partnerships and student empowerment. These partnerships create a collaborative environment between companies and universities, where companies provide students with insights, resources and job opportunities. In addition, universities can also collaborate with companies in designing curricula that are relevant to industry needs, so that students can get an education that is in line with the latest developments. Industry partnerships and student empowerment also provide benefits to companies, such as access to talent and influence on curriculum development and research. In order to achieve successful partnerships, it is important for universities and companies to engage in open dialog, listen to each other, and appreciate each other's perspectives. In addition, universities need to prepare students with the cross-disciplinary skills and adaptability required in the world of work. By implementing these strategies, universities can optimize the use of technology in education, improve infrastructure, address the digital divide, and enhance the quality of learning. In addition, industry partnerships and student empowerment are expected to create a relevant educational environment and prepare a competent workforce to face future challenges.

Abstract

Emotional autonomy is the ability of young cadets to act independently, take the initiative, overcome obstacles, and effectively manage emotions while engaging in activities. Academic flow is a state experienced by individuals when fully immersed, focused, concentrated, comfortable, and enjoying what they do due to intrinsic motivation. This study examines the relationship between Emotional Autonomy and academic flow theory among cadets at Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) Makassar. The sample consisted of 170 participants selected through random sampling. The quantitative research method used the emotional autonomy scale and the LIS Inventory Flow Academic as measurement tools. Data analysis was conducted using the Product Moment correlation technique with SPSS 24.0 for Windows. The results revealed a correlation coefficient of 0.643 between emotional autonomy and academic flow, with a significance level 0.000 (p<0.01). The findings indicate a positive relationship between emotional autonomy and academic flow. This research provides valuable insights for Cadets in enhancing their emotional autonomy to attain a state of academic flow during lectures and residential activities.

Abstract

Discipline and exemplary must be carried out continuously or habitually to create a character. Character education strategies require tools/media to implement them. The tool is in the form of rules, regulations, norms, and existing ethics. Cadets are among the representatives of a generation that demands high quality and performance. Cadets are essential in deciding a nation's progress since an advanced nation has a high degree of quality people resources, praiseworthy character, and a strong and resilient mental attitude. This study aims to find out how the application of character education to the formation of personality and professionalism of cadets in carrying out education and to find out the options/views that can be developed in character education, personality, and professionalism of cadets. This research used a descriptive approach. The data was collected from interviews, field notes, personal documents, notes or memos of researchers, and other supporting official documents. The results of this study in the form of character education factors explain the variance of 48,437%. Personality factors can explain the variance of 15,635%. The professionalism factor is the third factor, with an eigen of 3,591 and a variance value of 38,129%. The Preventive Punishment factor is the fourth factor that has a variance of 25,456%. It can be concluded that the analysis of several factors in determining cadets' character education strategy, personality, and professionalism, with preventive punishments, is carried out with rules, recommendations and orders, prohibitions, and discipline.

Abstract

The learning results of cadet students taking the guard duty course are examined in this study to determine the effectiveness of interactive learning. Results of post-test data analysis using a sample of 46 students and the pre-experiment approach revealed a significant improvement in learning outcome scores. The median score grew from 80.3 to 82.5, while the mean score went from 80.5 on the pretest to 83.3 on the posttest. Also noticeably rising were the minimum and maximum scores. This research suggests that interactive learning enhances students' comprehension and knowledge. The constructivism learning theory, which emphasizes the value of active involvement in learning, is in accord with the ideas of this advancement. However, it is also essential to consider other elements like the caliber and drive of the instructors. The findings of this study offer a framework for creating more interactive and participatory learning processes in educational situations.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of implementing Heuristic Strategies within a Scientific Approach in nautical learning, focusing on Collision Prevention Regulations at Sea (P2TL). Despite the material's potential to enhance critical thinking skills and flexibility of representation, research applying Heuristic Strategies in the Scientific Approach still needs to be explored. Employing a quasi-experimental method with experimental and control classes, data collection involves written measurements. Research hypotheses are elucidated through inferential analysis, encompassing normality, homogeneity, and mean similarity tests on learning outcome scores. The results demonstrate that nautical learning with heuristic strategies in a scientific approach surpasses ordinary scientific approaches in fostering critical thinking skills and flexibility of representation. This research significantly contributes to advancing learning methodologies in nautics, particularly reinforcing students' critical thinking and representational flexibility. The implications provide educators with grounds to consider integrating Heuristic Strategies within Scientific Approaches to enhance nautical learning quality, aligning with evolving educational demands and student needs.
