Abstract

Sape Port is a port managed by PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Sape Branch. At this time at the Sape Crossing Port there are still several shortcomings because there are still many people and unauthorized vehicles that can easily enter the port area, causing the port to become less orderly, there are still crossings between vehicles that will enter the ship and vehicles those who get out of the ship, and hawkers selling their goods in the area around the pier. This is due to the absence of a zoning system that is in accordance with the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 29 of 2016 concerning the Sterilization of Ferry Ports. So that in the activity of getting on and off of passengers and loading and unloading vehicles, there are several obstacles, including the absence of zoning implementation at the port which causes unauthorized people to enter prohibited areas, and the mixing of passengers and vehicles when getting on or off the ship. To analyze this, refer to the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 29 of 2016 concerning the Sterilization of Ferry Ports and SK.242 / HK.104 / DRJD / 2010 concerning Technical Guidelines for Ferry Traffic Management. The analysis used is zoning analysis, analysis of equipment that supports the zone system, and analysis of vehicle flow patterns. In order to smoothen the flow of cargo traffic both entering the port area and cargo going out of the Ferry Port area, namely by implementing a zoning system based on the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 29 of 2016 concerning Ferry Port Sterilization and regulation of traffic flow patterns in accordance with SK.242 /HK.104/DRJD/2010 concerning Technical Guidelines for Pedestrian Traffic Management and adding equipment that supports the zone system such as signs needed to support safety and comfort. The desired pattern of vehicle movement is to rearrange the lanes of vehicles that leave and enter the ship so that the delivery / pick-up does not enter the prohibited area and assign officers to regulate traffic so that it runs more orderly. To regulate passenger movement patterns so as not to mix with vehicles that would endanger the safety of passengers and vehicles.

Abstract

Officer has an important role in processing the motion of the ship when sailing to avoid things that are not desirable to avoid the dangers of collision. Formulation of the problem taken by the author in this thesis is the implementation of the guard service to prevent the occurrence of collision hazards in KM.TL-IX optimization of the use of navigation tools to prevent the occurrence of collision hazards. With qualitative research methods that produce descriptive data, the implementation of the guard service can be described clearly and concretely because the data obtained from direct interviews and supported by library methods that provide a clearer picture of a clearer picture of the information presented. The results obtained by the author during the research is the implementation of the guard service on the ship that has not been done properly because Mualim II undisciplined in carrying out guard duty, lack of attention and sense of responsibility of the Guard officer when carrying out guard duty on the bridge and the use of navigation tools that are not optimal. Discussion of the results of the study is the optimization of guard duty must be applied in accordance with STCW 1978 as amended in 2010, Mualim should also be guided by the Collision Regulation 1972 in the face of situations that allow the danger of collision. The use of navigation equipment as a detection of collision hazards should be able to produce maximum results for the Prevention of collision hazards and to avoid emergencies. In this case, it is concluded that the distribution of guard duty on board KM.TL-IX has been in accordance with regulations set internationally but in practice there are irregularities because the Mualim II is not responsible when carrying out his guard duty, a sense of lack of attention of the Guard officer during the bridge guard service and the use of navigation tools that are less than optimal by the mualim cause the results obtained are not optimal. The advice of the author is a senior Mualim should set an example to other mualim in the implementation of the guard service on schedule and must be carried out in a disciplined manner and the captain and the Mualim must have skills in operating navigation equipment.

Abstract

The cooling system is a medium that serves to absorb heat. The heat is obtained from the combustion of fuel in the cylinder. engine cooling is intended to maintain a stable temperature in the engine so that there is no too high temperature increase as a result of the combustion of fuel in the cylinder and the friction that occurs. Cooling the engine is also intended to reduce the risk of damage. The diesel engine cooling system is divided into 2, namely a closed cooling system and an open cooling system. The open cooling water system has an average temperature of 300 Celsius and the closed cooling water system has an average inlet temperature of 400 Celsius and an outlet temperature of 700-800 Celsius. Problems that often occur in the cooling water system are broken shaft impellers for seawater pumps, pipe leaks and capillary pipes clogged with dirt. The results of the writing refer to the damage to these components, this causes the fresh water temperature to rise. Therefore, regular and systematic maintenance and repair of these components is absolutely necessary for the cooling system to work optimally.

Abstract

Galala Ferry Port is a located in Galala Village, Sirimau District, Ambon City which serves the Galala - Namlea route. There are two Ro-Ro ships operating on this route with a total of seven trips per day. The distance for the Galala – Namlea traffic crossing is 85 miles. However, the operation of the ship on a fairly long route is not matched by the ideal number of trips so that there is a buildup of vehicles and service users who are not in the right place. The average time needed to sail is 8 hours. This study aims to determine the ship's load factor, to determine ship productivity, and to arrange ship schedules based on the number of ship trips. Then analyzed using several analytical methods to overcome these problems, including load factor analysis, analysis of population and vehicle growth predictions for the next 5 years using simple linear regression, ship frequency analysis, analysis of the need for the number of ships, and scheduling analysis. From this analysis, it can be concluded that the operating ship shows a load factor that exceeds the ideal capacity of the ship, which is 65% where there are conditions that are not proportional to the number of requests for service users and the frequency of existing ships. So it is necessary to add trips and the number of ships to suit the conditions in the field.
