Abstract

This paper will discuss how the implementation of whipping execution continues in Aceh even during the COVID-19 pandemic. This shows how the Aceh government continues to implement Islamic law through the law of caning rather than maintaining health and safety by avoiding crowds, considering that this law has requirements to be carried out in public and displayed. In other words, the caning is still carried out in open spaces even though it is stated that they have complied with health protocols. The hypothesis of this paper is that the Government has a double standard against the crowd prohibition policy. The government issued a ban on the community to congregate, but in the implementation of this whip execution, the government actually attracted the people to assemble in public places through the implementation of the caning law in public spaces. The method used is qualitative with literature studies and interviews. This research will be conducted in Banda Aceh, Aceh.

Abstract

Alue Naga Village in Banda Aceh City is a village that has a river and is directly adjacent to the sea, so this village has the potential to produce oysters. Oyster shell waste is usually dumped on the banks of the river, into the river, or thrown back into the oyster farm. This results in land and water pollution. This pollution can cause rivers to become shallow; if this continues, it can result in natural disasters such as floods. Therefore, Therefore, this service aims to provide education and training related to oyster shell waste into something more valuable. This activity also involved CV. Natural Aceh Food is a forum for the community to market its products. The production process required ±5 minutes to grind 8 kilos of oyster shells and produce 7.7 kilos of oyster shell powder. Abstract

Abstract

In an endeavor to assist the Banda Aceh City Government in effective waste management, a group of lecturers and students from Syiah Kuala University (USK) has introduced an innovative waste management solution in the form of a digital-based waste collection and disposal application named e-tikbroh.yak. This application is designed to pick up pre-sorted waste from users, including individuals and communities, and then distribute the segregated waste to collectors and partners who have ordered or purchased it for various productive purposes. The distribution of this application to the community is considered essential as it streamlines the waste management process by promoting waste sorting and implementing the 3 R (Reduce-Reuse-Recycle) waste management concept, thereby fostering a conscious approach to waste management. Furthermore, e-tikbroh.yak creates new employment opportunities within the community, both as application couriers and by generating additional income through the collection of sorted waste. To expand its reach and accessibility, the e-tikbroh.yak application will soon be made available on the Play Store and web browsers for non-Android smartphone users in Banda Aceh City. Following its public introduction, a User’s Acceptance Test (UAT) was conducted to ensure the effective and optimal functioning of the application system. This paper aims to elucidate two key aspects: 1) introducing e-tikbroh.yak to the community and partners, and 2) assessing the application's performance through the User Acceptance Test (UAT) procedure. The outcome of the UAT demonstrated that the people of Banda Aceh City found the application's operation to be smooth and user-friendly.
