Abstract

Mathematics is a fundamental science; its scientific results cannot be revised or written because it follows mathematical proof. This creates anxiety and problems from various facts that exist for students, making their learning outcomes decrease. Moreover, rapid technological advances are not balanced with advances in the quality of existing human resources coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic, which significantly affects the world of education in Indonesia, and the intellectual quality of students is declining. With the advancement of technology, it should be an opportunity to develop teaching material to make it easier for students to carry out teaching and learning activities. The development of teaching materials that will be discussed in this article is the development of QR code-based handout teaching materials containing learning videos that are relevant to the material studied, namely, grade 5 material in the form of data collection.

Abstract

Diversity does not always get a positive response from the community because diversity often conflicts with developing cultures. This article aims to discover the sociological approach in Islamic studies. The library research method is used with a variety of relevant sources. The study results indicate that the sociological characteristics of Islamic studies emphasize muamalah worship rather than ubudiyah. Theories in the sociological approach include functional theory, interactional theory, and conflict theory. Sociological methods in Islamic studies include descriptive, comparative, and experimental methods. Islamic sociology pays attention to problems developed in society, such as the prohibition of usury, reducing the divorce rate, and socio-political comparability. This article also contains a case analysis of society's sociological approach. Keywords: Sociological Approach; Sociology; Islamic Studies

Abstract

Earth almsgiving is a tradition that has existed since the time of the ancestors in Indonesia. The tradition of the ancestors is a form of gratitude to God Almighty for the abundance of his grace in a certain region. Society must be able to distinguish between expressions of gratitude and destruction.  This type of research is a qualitative case study in a certain society to thoroughly explore the benefits and meaningfulness of the essence of the earth's alms tradition that still needs to be maintained in the digital era. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification.  The results showed that the earth alms tradition has a very strong Islamic philosophy and ritual, people must understand the essence of earth alms as a whole so as not to just follow the currents of the times. The factor that makes people want to hold the earth alms tradition is a form of gratitude for the abundance of grace from God Almighty. The tradition of earth almsgiving is not shirked nor is it to satisfy the lust of entertainment by holding a momentary feast, but must stick to Islamic rituals according to the sharia of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and the teachings of the saints along with the guidance of religious leaders in the region

Abstract

This research is in the background with the characteristics of students during the learning activity process. This leads to reduced student activity and participation in learning. This research was conducted with the aim of helping educators to develop teaching materials with a process skills approach to train students to be active and creative in the learning process. The teaching materials developed are in the form of Handout teaching materials based on the Process Skills approach on personal data material and angular sizes on flat buildings in grade IV Elementary School. Making questions on this teaching material is included in the HOTS (Higer Order Thingking Skill) category. So that it can improve critical thinking skills in students. The development method used is ASSURE with stages of analyzing student characteristics, determining goals, choosing learning methods, media, and strategies, using learning materials, evaluating and revising

Abstract

Investigating the Impact of Differentiated Learning with Experience, Interaction, Communication, and Reflection Approach on Student Mathematical Understanding. The ability to comprehend mathematical concepts involves students' capacity to apply and utilize concepts in innovative ways based on their understanding. This research aims to measure and analyze the level of student understanding in mathematics, specifically focusing on the implementation of differentiation learning using the experience, interaction, communication, and reflection approach within the fifth-grade setting at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Differentiated learning, a well-known educational method, aims to accommodate diverse student needs, ensuring comprehensive understanding. To conduct this study, researchers divided students into three groups: the Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) group, the Butterfly group, and the Origami group, based on initial ability diagnoses. Subsequently, the learning process employed experience, interaction, communication, and reflection strategies. A mixed research method was utilized for data collection and analysis. The study's results, assessed through five indicators of student mathematical understanding, demonstrated a notable improvement in students' conceptual comprehension. The average gain test value of 0.451442 indicated a medium-level increase, with a significance level value of 0.05. Consequently, students receiving differentiated learning with the experience, interaction, communication, and reflection approach exhibited superior mathematical understanding compared to those receiving conventional instruction. Overall, this research provides empirical evidence supporting the effectiveness of differentiated learning, emphasizing the significance of incorporating experiential, interactive, communicative, and reflective methods to enhance students' mathematical comprehension.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the views of many students who consider learning Mathematics difficult and unpleasant. It is also motivated by the characteristics of MI/SD students who like to play, move, group activities, and like experience or demonstrate or try to do something directly. As well as changes in the curriculum to an independent curriculum and technological advances. From these things, the researcher wants to develop teaching materials that aim to produce independent curriculum teaching materials based on joyful learning to create enjoyable Mathematics learning for students which is also equipped with activities using technology. The teaching material developed is in the form of student worksheets based on joyful learning on material for numeration and arithmetic operations for class 1 MI/SD. The development method used is the Hannafin and Peck model which includes three stages, namely the needs analysis stage, design stage, development, and implementation stage. The development of LKPD is carried out by providing play and practice activities with concrete objects; songs and videos; practice questions in the form of games such as word search, crossword, and puzzles; and several website-based interactive games and quizzes from "Wordwall" which are included in the form of a QR code. Researchers also completed a package of LKPD with bags containing concrete objects.
