Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the test instrument. The instrument could be qualified and worthyif meets certain requirements include good quality language, validity, reliability, level of difficulty, anddistinguish. Data used in the form of daily test questions code A and B geography class X IPS MAN 2 KotaBatu. This is evaluative research. Based on the survey results revealed (1) the test instrument in accordancewith the basic competencies and learning indicators; (2) the language quality which used in daily geographytest still less valid; (3) the validity of the test questions was not good yet; (4) The coefficient reliabilitybetween code A and B questions are medium; (5) code A questions dominated by easy level of difficulty whilecode B questions dominated by medium level of difficulty; (6) distinguish power of the questions showed thatboth code A and B were bad.

Abstract

Laboratorium geografi sangat dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Keberadaan laboratorium geografi rill dan alami mampu menunjang proses pembelajaran geografi pada materi litosfer menjadi aktif, efektif, serta menyenangkan. Pengadaan laboratorium geografi di SMA memiliki kendala terkait biaya, peningkatan kompetensi profesional pendidik dalam memanajemen laboratorium, serta kurangnya partisipasi dari berbagai pihak. Kendala  tersebut dapat diminimalisir dengan mengembangkan geography virtual laboratory yang berguna untuk mengatasi keterbatasan dalam penyediaan laboratorium geografi rill dan alam. Kajian ini membahas pentingnya pengembangan geography virtual laboratory (GEO V-LAB) yang bermanfaat sebagai media pembelajaran materi litosfer yang praktis, efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konstekstual  siswa, menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter, menghemat waktu dan biaya. Memenuhi  hal tersebut maka pengembangannya diharapkan menjadi solusi alternatif pihak Sekolah.AbstractGeography laboratory is needed in the learning activities at Senior High School (SMA). The existence of a laboratory of natural and natural geography able to support the process of geography learning on lithosphere material to be active, effective, and fun. The procurement of geography laboratories in SMA has cost related constraints, increased professional competence of educators in laboratory management, and lack of participation from various parties. These constraints can be minimized by developing a virtual laboratory geography that is useful to overcome the limitations in the provision of laboratory geography of nature and nature. This study discusses the importance of the development of virtual laboratory geography (GEO V-LAB) which is useful as a learning media of practical lithosphere materials, effectively improving students contextual understanding, instilling character education values, saving time and cost, Fulfilling it is expected to be the solution school alternative.

Abstract

The research purpose was to evaluate the quality of geography learning program in Public Senior High School 1 Mayong, Jepara Regency. The research was evaluative research with EKOP model, which is quality and learning output evaluation. Research sample was determined by purposive sampling technique. The collected data was from closed questionnaire answered by 37 students of XI IS 1 class and a geography teacher. The data was qualitative and had been described to conclude the research results. The results showed that teacher’s performance value was 4,08 (good category); learning facilities value was 3,63 (good category); class atmosphere value was 3,28 (adequate category); student’s attitude value was 3,37 (adequate category); and the learning motivation value was 3,57 (good category). Learning output on academic and social proficiency was 4,49 (very good category). From the total recapitulation of learning quality, the value was 3,59. Therefore, it can be concluded that the quality of geography learning program was good.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the pattern of the world of education. Changes are experienced by the learning system, from offline to online using online media. The research objectives are (1) to describe the types of online learning media used in Geography Education student lectures, (2) to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of online media based on perceptions, (3) to formulate strategies to make effective use of favorite online media based on student perceptions. The research method is a survey of qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques from filling closed and open questionnaires using purposive samples. The questionnaire was filled out by Geography Education students for even semesters (semesters 2-6) of UNNES in 2020 and then described. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that (1) the online media used are WhatsApp Group, Facebook Group, Facebook Live, Website, Zoom , Skype, Discord, Youtube Live, Instagram Live, Google Classroom, Quiz, Telegram Group, Elena, Hangout (2) The students' favorite online learning media are Discord, WhatsApp Group, Zoom , Elena, Google Classroom and Instagram live, and 3) strategies to make effective use of online learning media are 1) complementing other potential online media and can cover their weaknesses, 2) review and an analysis of whether the selected online media can be implemented using a learning method or model according to the plan. 3) collect data and analyze the dominance of student learning styles as the basis for determining the selection of online learning media.

Abstract

Target pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam keterampilan pembuatan media foto udara melalui pelatihan Keterampilan Pembuatan Media Foto Udara Melalui Pemotretan Drone Pada MGMP Geografi Kabupaten Jepara. Manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat membekali guru MGMP Geografi Kabupaten Jepara dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mengembangkan keahlian dalam pengoperasian drone serta pembuatan foto udara. Metode pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan kegiatan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi sedangkan langkah-langkah kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga kegiatan inti materi, yaitu pelatihan tentang pembuatan media foto udara melalui pemotretan drone, Uji pretest dan Uji posttest. Berdasarkan data diatas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan secara siginifkan pada pengetahuan guru setelah diadakan pelatihan yang dilakukan tim pengabdi. Analisis data didapatkan hasil dengan kriteria tinggi berjumlah 13 orang guru sehingga hanya 81,25 %. Kriteria sedang terdiri dari 1 orang guru sehingga dapat disimpulkan persentasenya sebesar 6,25 % sedangkan rendah 2 orang sehingga persentasenya 12,5%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas butir soal geografi agar layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Data yang digunakan berupa hasil pengerjaan soal pilihan ganda ulangan tengah semester geografi kelas XI IS 1 2 SMA Islam Al Azhar 14 Kota Semarang. Data diambil secara purposive sampling dan angket tertutup untuk mengetahui persepsi validator tentang kualitas soal yang dibuat. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskripsi persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) aspek materi/substansi terdapat revisi pada indikator pertama dan kedua; 2) aspek kontruksi terdapat revisi pada indikator pertama, kedua, keempat, dan kelima; 3) aspek bahasa terdapat revisi pada indikator pertama, kedua, ketiga, dan keempat; 4) Uji validitas terdapat 18 soal dapat dipertimbangkan untuk digunakan; 5) Uji reliabilitas butir mempunyai  tingkat kepercayaan sangat tinggi; 6) Uji taraf kesukaran terdapat 23 soal dapat dipertimbangkan untuk digunakan; 7) Uji daya beda soal terdapat 37 soal dapat dipertimbangkan untuk digunakan; dan 8) Uji efektivitas pengecoh/distractor terdapat 14 soal dapat dipertimbangkan untuk digunakan. Berdasarkan uji secara aspek kualitatif dan aspek kuantitatif dapat disimpulkan bahwa  instrumen tes yang dapat digunakan adalah soal nomor 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 28 dan 37 karena lebih berkualitas.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode debat aktif dalam mendukung tingkat keaktifan siswa pada pembelajaran geografi sekaligus menguraikan strategi tepat untuk mengoptimalkannya. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus dengan menggunakan subjek penelitian kelas XI IS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Mayong tahun ajaran 2016/2017 dilakukan selama tiga kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data berasal dari observasi partisipan, dokumentasi, dan lembar keaktifan siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskripsi persentase kemudian dikonsultasikan dengan kriteria yang ditentukan untuk menyimpulkan hasil penelitian sedangkan uraian strategi dalam mengefektifkan berdasarkan data hasil observasi partisipan kemudian dilakukan member check dan diimplementasikan. Analisis data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase keaktifan siswa pada pertemuan pertama masuk dalam kategori baik, persentase keaktifan siswa pada pertemuan berkategori sangat baik, persentase keaktifan siswa pada pertemuan ketiga juga berkategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, efektivitas penerapan metode debat aktif dalam pembelajaran geografi adalah sangat baik. Strategi yang diterapkan juga mempunyai andil dalam mendukung persentase keaktifan siswa sehingga lebih optimal dari sebelumnya.
