Abstract

The study aimed to find out the effect of controversial public issue learning models with video and Macromedia flash player media on students’ critical thinking skills in Civic Education subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Rancah. The particular research was a quasi-experimental research using pretest, posttest control group design. Data analysis techniques used independent t-test and one-way ANOVA test. The results showed that critical thinking skills on students taught using Controversial Public Issues model with video media had a significant effect on the critical thinking ability. This finding might be seen from the one-way ANOVA test results that the Fcount> Ftable (61.146> 3.13) or the p-value is lower than 0.05 (p = 0.000 <0.05) and the gain score. The experimental class 1 obtained a gain score of 0.49 in the category of "medium" effectiveness. The experimental class 2 obtained a gain score of 0.34 in the category of "medium" effectiveness. The control class obtained a gain score of 0.00 in the category of “low".

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pembinaan karakter melalui keteladanan guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan Kepala Sekolah di Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Yogya-karta. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Yogyakarta melakukan pendidikan karakter melalui keteladanan berupa tutur kata, ciri kepribadian, sikap, dan penampilan yang sesuai dengan karakter religius, disiplin, demokratis, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, cinta damai, peduli lingkungan, dan peduli sosial. Kata Kunci: pembinaan karakter, keteladanan guru, pendidikan kewarganegaraan BUILDING CHARACTER THROUGH THE EXAMPLE OF CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION TEACHERS IN AL AZHAR ISLAMIC SCHOOL OF YOGYAKARTA Abstract: This research aims to reveral the character building through the example of citizenship education teachers in Al Azhar Islamic School of Yogyakarta. This research was qualitative research using the descriptive approach. The subjects of the research were citizenship education teachers and principal of Al Azhar Islamic School of Yogyakarta. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validation was done by triangulation. The result of this study is as follows citizenship education teachers in Al Azhar Islamic School of Yogyakarta build student’s character through the exemplary form of speech, personality traits, attitudes, and performance of being suitable for the character of religiousity, discipline, democracy, the spirit of nationalism, patriotism, love of peace, environmental care, and care of society. Abstract

Introducing english vocabularies in early childhood education institution generally has not used the media learning as well, incorrect pronountiation and spelling of the teacher also monotonous method. This research aimed to know multimedia feasiblity of english vocabulary introduction for group B at TK Wahidiyah Kota Kediri, knowing multimedia effectiveness of english vocabulary introduction for group B at TK Wahidiyah Kota Kediri. Field development used one group pretest posttest design. Instruments used in data collection are questionnaire, guidelines and interview guidelines which analized using descriptive technic, statistic descriptive and descriptive inferential. To know the effect of multimedia, analyzed by using the calculation with the help of software (software) that is SPSS 20. Based on result of t-test, known significance obtained by 0,00 which means smaller than the significance used in this research that is 0 , 05, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Abstract

Character education for students is considered very important to be implemented immediately in the education unit. The implementation will be more effective if the teacher is able to place himself as an example for his students. Before character building for students, the teacher is emphasized to first have character. The character of the teacher who has character will have a positive effect on the development of the character of students both from speech, attitude, behavior, appearance, and habits in school and in the community. &nbsp; Pendidikan karakter bagi peserta didik dirasa sangat penting untuk segera dilaksanakan di satuan pendidikan. Pelaksanaanya akan lebih efektif apabila guru mampu menempatkan diri sebagai teladan bagi peserta didiknya. Sebelum melakukan pembinaan karakter kepada peserta didik maka guru ditekankan untuk terlebih dahulu berkarakter. Sosok guru yang berkarakter akan memberi efek positif bagi perkembangan karakter peserta didik baik dari tutur kata, sikap, perilaku, penampilan, dan kebiasaan di sekolah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan eksplorasi dan pemetaan mahasiswa dalam memahami Pancasila. Fokus perhatian dalam kajian dan penelitian ini diarahkan pada pemikiran dan pandangan mahasiswa melalui studi kasus pada mahasiswa di mata kuliah Pendidikan Pancasila. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman mahasiswa tentang Pancasila memiliki dasar-dasar epistemologis yang benar setelah mengalami proses pembiasaan membaca sumber bacaan berupa buku bahan ajar, buku teks, jurnal, penelitian ilmiah, dan artikel media massa tentang Pancasila. Setelah mahasiswa melalukan pencarian informasi, proses perkuliahan dilaksankan dengan model pembelajaran roleplay untuk mensimulasikan proses pengusulan, perumusan, dan pengesahan Pancasila sebagai dasar negara. Pada akhir perkuliahan, mahasiswa diminta menguraikan tentang makna dan pengertian Pancasila bagi bangsa dan negara Indonesia dengan menggunakan gaya bahasanya sendiri. Hasil proses pembelajaran ini dapat mendorong mahasiswa mampu berfikir secara tepat dalam memaknai dan memahami arti penting Pancasila sebagai dasar negara sekaligus ideologi bangsa. Upaya meningkatkan pemahaman tentang Pancasila menjadi penting bagi mahasiswa sebagai proses pembentukan karakter bangsa.

Abstract

This paper is derived from the results of research aimed at uncovering character building programs through the implementation of school culture at the elementary school level. The type of research that has been carried out is a qualitative descriptive study conducted at Al Azhar 31 Islamic Elementary School in Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, documentation, and observations which were then analyzed qualitatively, to test the validity of the data by means of triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that the character-building program that had been carried out through the implementation of school culture was deemed effective in shaping the character of students in primary schools. The school culture that is applied is implemented programmatically and spontaneously. The school culture has been carried out through activities: (1) Al Azhar pledges, tadarus Alquran, prayers in congregation to form religious character, (2) one day one Arabic word, mobile library in order to form a character like to read, (3) green school movements form character care about the environment, (4) the Javanese culture festival shape the character of the love of the motherland and the spirit of nationality, (5) 5S culture (spirit, smile, greetings, regards, polite) shape the character of tolerance and friendliness, (6) rules of class, reward and punishment to shape the character of discipline, hard work, and responsibility.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe or strengthen the function of the museum as a means of education outside the classroom as part of the co-curricular education program. This program is often referred to as an educational tourism activity. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that uses data collection methods through literature study using various sources such as books, journal articles, and news sources that support the research. Data collection, data processing, and data analysis were carried out from September 2020 to January 2021. The conclusions of this study are: (1) museums have an educational function that must be elaborated and used as a source, media, and place of learning as part of educational co-curricular program. Museums provide open communication about ideas, concepts, information involving exploration and discovery. Museum is a place of learning for 3A (the authentic, the aesthetic, and the accessible). (2) it is necessary to increase the role, quality and professionalism of the teaching staff so that the museum can function effectively and improve the quality of education. (3) it is necessary to have the role of museum managers and related policy makers to optimize the quality and accessibility so that the museum is easily accessible to tourists and is open to educational programs. In addition, innovation is needed in managing museum tourism so that it can attract tourists. Thus, synergy is needed between museum managers as providers and formal educational institutions as users in the use of museums in educational functions. Abstract

This study discusses the decision of French tourists on their planned visit to Bali in the new normal era in 2021. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data was obtained by means of online interviews and questions and answers via email to 35 potential tourists. Based on the results of research that has been done, it was found that two decisions of French tourists regarding their vacation plans to Bali, namely: (1) Cancellation of tour trips with the consideration of (a) changes in tourist budgets and financial plans, (b) health reasons for tourists, (c) difficulty in managing time, and (d) the uncertainty of the global situation. (2) Delay or reschedule Tour trips. The factors that influence tourists to continue their travel agenda to Bali with a note of rescheduling, namely: (a) Advances that have been paid to travel agents, (b) the need for post-lockdown holidays during 2020, and ( c) vaccination as an effort to protect the tourists from Covid-19. The hope is that the exposure of the research results can be a reference for researchers, tourism service business actors, and tourists to work together to implement health protocols in all tourism activities for a better Indonesian tourism. Abstract

Penguatan karakter kebangsaan dilakukan melalui pembiasaan budaya positif disekolah secara efektif melalui pembinaan sehingga mencerminankan nilai religius, jujur, disiplin, toleran, kerja keras, cinta damai, dan tanggung jawab. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengambarkan penguatan nilai karakter kebangsaan melalui budaya sekolah. Penulisan artikel menggunakan studi kepustakaan atau library research, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian diskriptif-kritis dengan memberikan penekanan pada kekuatan analsis dari sumber dan data yang diperoleh dari teori dan naskah yang diterjemahkan dengan berlandasan tulisan yang mengarah pada topik utama penelitian ini. Hasil kajian analisis menunjukan bahwa penguatan karakter kebangsaan melalui budaya sekolah yaitu (1) perlu dilakukan secara konsitensi melalui aksi nyata (best practice), (2) adanya interkasi oleh seluruh elemen warga sekolah, (3) perlu membangun kolaborasi, dan kerjasama dengan warga masyarakat, warga sekolah dan lingkungan sekitar, (4) membangun kesepakatan dalam lingkungan sekolah, maupun lingkungan masyarakat.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengguanakn pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan studi kepustakaan. Tujuan paparan dari tulisan ini adalah menemukan bukti-bukti pembentukan dan penguatan karakter kewarganegaraan ekologis masyarakat melalui aktivitas ekowisata (baik pengelola maupun wisatawan). Aktivitas ini menjadi bukti konsep kewarganegaraan ekologis dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan non-formal berbasis kemasyarakatan. Hasil penelitian yang dipaparkan dalam tulisan ini menjelaskan bahwa aktivitas ekowisata yang dilakukan oleh pengelola objek wisata alam dengan menerapkan konsep eco-friendly activites  dan edu-ecotourism yang tidak merusak ekosistem lingkungan, menjaga kelestarian flora, dan fauna yang ada menjadi bukti karakter kewarganegaraan ekologis terbentuk dalam masyarakat. Begitu juga dengan wisatawan, dengan menjaga kelestarian lingkungan saat melakukan ativitas wisata, toleran terhadap budaya masyarakat yang beragam menjadi bukti memiliki karakter kewarganegaraan ekologis. Selain itu ada peran nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang dapat menjadi pedoman tata laku dalam melaksanakan aktivitas ekowisata.
