Abstract

Biogas is an alternative energy sources as a substitute for fossil fuels in household activities daily, but there are obstacles in the use of biogas, namely the difficulty of arranging a flame that is stable and fuel consumption relatively less efficient biogas. So it takes a design development system that will produce a burning stove produces biogas-fueled stove fits the purpose of research, on the other hand biogas stove should be simple, cheap production price, maximum efficiency and safe to use. Stages in the study include: desk assessment, creation of objective requirements design, manufacture conceptual and basic design, manufacture real stove. As for knowing the performance of the stove carried stove performance tests are: test flame stability and efficiency. The results showed that the efficiency of the biogas stove design results in only 31 percent higher than the efficiency of biogas stoves old design, while the fuel consumption of biogas stoves new design is 16 percent lower when compared with fuel consumption of biogas stoves old design. In terms of manufacture and ease of repair and maintenance of gas cookers new design is more easily repaired and easy to make and simple in form compared with the old design biogas stoves.

Abstract

The use of a battery to meet the electricity demand in Indonesia is still needed in the community. Inside there is a liquid electrolyte battery that serves as an energy source battery. In this study, the source of energy used is garlic, spinach and salt. All energy sources are mixed into three compositions based on a predetermined mass ratio. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the electrolyte of garlic, spinach and salt as an alternative source of electrical energy in the battery dry. How to adjust the composition of the material with a mass percentage used are: a. Composition I is 20% garlic, raw spinach 40% and 40% salt; b. Composition II was 40% garlic, raw spinach 20% and 40% salt; c. Composition III was  40% garlic, raw spinach 40% and 20% salt. Results from this research that a battery with a composition III has the highest electrical power to the composition III is 0974 mW. Therefore, a mixture of the composition III which contains garlic and spinach contain a lot of acid. Abstract

Pengembangan teknologi baterai selalu dikembangkan selama beberapa tahun terakhir. Baterai yang beredar dipasaran saat ini adalah baterai basah dan baterai kering.Baterai basah yang banyak digunakan untuk accu mobil dan sepeda motor. Baterai kering banyak digunakan pada baterai untuk senter, radio, jam dinding dan lain-lain.Perkembangan kebutuhan untuk menciptakan baterai yang ramah lingkungan dan mempunyai energi yang cukup besar maka perlu dicari solusinya.Salah satu solusi yang sedang dikembangkan saat ini adalah terciptanya baterai udara. Prinsip kerja baterai udara adalah mengambil sebagian udara sekitar yang kontak langsung dengan katoda karbon aktif sehingga molekul-molekul udara tersebut akan bercampur dengan cairan elektrolit pada baterai dan menghasilkan tegangan dan arus listrik setelah katoda terhubung dengan anoda menggunakan aluminium foil. Penelitian ini menggunakan massa serbuk karbon aktif 1250 miligram dan luasan aluminium foil 36 cm2 . Cairan elektrolit yang digunakan adalah air laut. Hasil pengukuran yang diperoleh menggunakan alat multimeter. Pengukuran Tegangan rata-rata adalah 0,781 Volt, Arus rata-rata adalah 1,043 mA dan Daya listrik yang dihasilkan sebesar 8,148 mW. Keywords: aluminium foil, serbuk karbon aktif, air laut, udara, tegangan,arus, daya

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan dari pendidikan adalah untuk menghasilkan manusia yang produktif, mandiri dan mempunyai daya saing. Namun faktanya banyak dijumpai lulusan setingkat SMU yang tidak dapat melanjutkan pendididkan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan produksi / manufaktur untuk meningkatkan wawasan kewirausahaan bagi pemuda. Dengan demikian pengetahuan produksi / manufaktur nanti bisa menjadi ide untuk membuka usaha baru dalam skala industri kecil (UMKM) Salah satu program peningkatan pengetahuan yang diberikan dalam program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan produksi / manufaktur. Sasaran pengabdian masyarakat adalah pemuda yang tertarik untuk mengembangkan kemandirian di bidang industri kecil. Abstract

Iron is chosen for the manufacture of air batteries because it is cheap, widely available in nature. One solution currently being developed is the creation of air batteries. This study aims to determine the effect of electrolyte of seawater and the temperature of air that is in direct contact with carbon cathodes and iron anodes of air batteries as a source of electrical energy.The method used in the voltaic cell which is an electrolyte, anode and cathode solution. It is this anode and cathode that causes a reduction and oxidation reaction, as well as an electrolyte as a conduit to produce electrical energy from chemical reactions. The higher the temperature of the air in contact with the battery will reduce the battery's electrical power.The decreasing air density will reduce the amount of air mass, so that the air mass that is in direct contact with the electrode gets less.

Abstract

Solar energy is a huge and infinite source of energy so that solar energy can support energy resilience. Parabolic solar cell reflectors use mirrors. The purpose of this research is to determine the thermal collector's power and thermal efficiency on solar stoves. This research methodology is by taking data with time parameters that have been determined according to environmental conditions. The subjects of this study were parabolic solar cookers with a diameter of 84 cm to 500 gram water. The results of the average stove power obtained by 141.71 Watt and the thermal efficiency of the stove by 5.45%. The power of the stove is affected by the difference in temperature of the water after it has been heated by the temperature of the water before it is heated. The greater the temperature of the water after heating it will increase the power of the stove. The greater the overall heat transfer Qm and the smaller the intensity of solar radiation on the reflector using a mirror, the greater the thermal efficiency.

Abstract

Radiasi matahari menghasilkan kalor sebagai sumber energi yang dapat dikumpulkan menjadi satu titik sehingga mampu untuk memasak air menggunakan alat bernama Reflektor cermin parabolic. Untuk memperbesar perpindahan kalor menyeluruh (Qm) maka dipilih bahan reflector yang mudah memantulkan sinar matahari. Tujuan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui daya dan efisiensi termal kolektor pada kompor tenaga surya. Metodologi penelitian ini dengan cara pengambilan data dengan parameter waktu yang sudah ditentukan sesuai kondisi  lingkungan untuk memanaskan air 1000 gram. Subyek penelitian ini adalah parabolic solar cooker dengan diameter 84 cm. Hasil daya kompor yang diperoleh sebesar 36,59 Watt dan efisiensi termal kompor sebesar 6,18 %. Daya kompor dipengaruhi oleh selisih temperatur air setelah dipanaskan dengan temperatur air sebelum dipanaskan. Semakin besar temperatur air setelah dipanaskan maka akan memperbesar daya kompor tersebut. Semakin besar perpindahan kalor menyeluruh Qm dan semakin kecil intensitas radiasi matahari pada reflector yang menggunakan cermin maka efisiensi termal semakin besar.Kata kunci: kompor parabola tenaga surya, daya kompor, efisiensi termalABSTRACTSolar radiation generates the heat as a source of energy that can be collected into a single point so that it is able to cook water using a tool named mirror parabolic reflector. To enlarge the whole heat transfer (QM) then selected reflector material that easily reflects the sunlight. The purpose of this study is to find out the power and efficiency of thermal collectors on solar power stoves. This research methodology by means of data retrieval with specified time parameters according to environmental conditions to heat water 1000 grams. The subject of this study is the parabolic solar cooker with a diameter of 84 cm. Results of stove Power obtained at 36.59 Watt and thermal efficiency of the stove amounted to 6.18%. The cooker's power is influenced by the water temperature difference after heated with water temperature before heated. The larger the water temperature after heated it will enlarge the stove's power. The larger the overall heat transfer of the Qm and the smaller the intensity of the solar radiation on the reflector using the mirror hence the greater the thermal efficiency.

Abstract

Kelompok pemuda Rt. 01/ Rw. 39 Maredan, Sendangtirto, Berbah, Sleman Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta terletak di selatan Akademi Angkatan Udara. Lokasinya terletak di pinggir kota Yogyakarta. Latar belakang pekerjaan anggota kelompok pemuda cukup beraneka ragam pekerjaan dari mulai pegawai swasta, pegawai negeri, petani dan pedagang. Latar belakang pendidikannya juga beraneka ragam mulai dari berpendidikan sekolah dasar, sekolah menengah sampai perguruan tinggi. Sebagian kelompok pemuda menggunakan sumber energi listrik dari perusahaan listrik Negara dan menggunakan kompor gas untuk memasak. Tidak terdapat anggota kelompok pemuda yang memanfaatkan kedua sumber energi tersebut dalam kegiatannya. Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Adisutjipto melalui dosennya berusaha meningkatkan pengetahuan anggota kelompok  pemuda melalui program kemitraan pengabdian masyarakat tentang energi alternatif terutama energi matahari memiliki potensi mendukung ketahanan  energi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan cara presentasi dan pembagian modul mengenai energy matahari. Output yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini warga menjadi tahu dan paham energy matahari memiliki potensi sebagai energy alternatif. Serta penjelasan mengenai komponen peralatan energi surya dan fungsinya.

Abstract

Technological developments have opened up a new infrastructure in communication for transmitting audio data. This is evidenced by the large number of communication media, both wired and wireless. So that it raises new methods for sending audio data, one of which is using Visible Light Communication (VLC). VLC is a communication system for transmitting and receiving data using the visible light wave spectrum between 375 nm - 780 nm. In this research, audio data communication utilizes the brightness of the LED light. The transmitter and receiver use an LED component as a transducer which is then sent to the data processing circuit. From the data processing circuit then sent to the audio amplifier circuit. From the test results it can be shown that this system can transmit audio data. Based on the LED color test, Green produces the highest output voltage of 1.32 Volt. The angle limit that can be detected by the photo diode is at an angle of 70° with a measured voltage of 100mV and the resulting sound intensity of -32.541dB.
