Abstract

The results of the Program for International Students Assessment (PISA) state that the mathematical ability of students in Indonesia is ranked low when compared to students in other countries and in industrialized countries. Despite the fact that mathematics is known for its challenges, many students are less enthusiastic about the subject, but some students also enjoy math. Students in the classroom have a variety of characters, attitudes, and traits. To help children develop into good students, teachers must be able to understand and shape their character. Information on the RME learning model with character education and students' mathematical literacy skills at SDN 115492 Mampang is the objectives of this research. Surveys and various literature studies were use in the implementation of this research. Research findings reveal that students still struggle to relate their skills to various social problems, math problems, and apply mathematical concepts. The model used has not succeeded in stimulating mathematical literacy. In addition, teachers have not fully incorporated character education values into mathematics learning. The learning model (RME) can be used as a learning model that will improve character education and improve students' mathematical literacy while they are learning mathematics. Keywords: Learning, Realistic Mhatematics Education (RME).

Abstract

AbstractStudents in elementary schools enter the level of concrete operational, so that, they need a media to understanding the various existing concepts of learning. Learning mathematics requires concrete objects and explanations from the teacher. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, learning has be completely by online, as well as math lessons. The purpose of this study was to see the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mathematics learning process for teachers, students and parents. This research method is a qualitative method and literature study. The results of the study show that the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on teachers, students and parents is very large. The lack of knowledge about the use of technology, some parents who do not receive an education and a large enough expenditure are obstacles for the mathematics learning process. Keywords: Pandemic, Covid-19, Mathematics Learning.

Abstract

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers and children (students) have had to undergo an educational transformation that suddenly forced them to embrace digital learning to support online teaching. In the context of mathematics, teachers can use interactive media as a digital device that can trigger active, fun math understanding for early childhood. The purpose of this study was to see student acceptance during learning using interactive puzzle media. This research method is a qualitative method and literature study. The results showed that interactive puzzle media can improve the ability to recognize geometric shapes in early childhood. Because interactive puzzle media is a learning medium that can improve aspects of early childhood development, when using interactive puzzle media children do not feel they are learning but they are playing and by using interactive puzzle media children's learning activities become more fun so children are more interested in learning. follow the learning and the learning outcomes obtained will be better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the collaboration of the Missouri Mathematics Project and Realistics Mathematics Education models with students using conventional learning models on mathematics learning achievement in terms of students' initial abilities. The population of this research was the seventh grade students of MTs Mardiyah Panyabungan. Random Sampling is used to choose the students as a sample, data analysis using descriptive test, and normality test, paired sample test, variance homogeneity test and analysis of hypothesis testing. The results of the data analysis test are 1) there are differences in learning achievement from the experimental class and the control class 2) the increase in learning achievement of the experimental class is higher than the control class. Based on these results, the effectiveness of the Missouri Mathematics Project and Realistics Mathematics Education models in improving students' mathematics learning achievement can be a recommendation for teachers or practitioners. Keywords: Missouri Mathematics Project and Realistic Mathematics Education; Learning Achievement; and Early Ability.
