Abstract

The subjects studied at university are often interrelated and form an intact of complete knowledge. This study aims to analyze the asymmetrical relationship between Statistical Methods scores and Probability Theory scores in Statistics students through Somers' d correlation analysis. Based on the analysis performed, it was found that there was a strong correlation (0.612 and 0.716) between the scores obtained by students in the Statistical Methods and Probability Theory. The analysis also shows that the scores of the Statistical Method that students obtained has a significant influence on students' Probability Theory scores. So it can be concluded, that the higher the student's Statistical Method score obtained in the early semester, the higher the chance for students to get high Probability Theory scores in the following semester.

Abstract

Snacking activity has been identified as one of the potential causes of obesity and/or overweight in childhood and adolescence. According to Hampl, a child is snacking more than 15-20% of his daily calorie intake of snacks can be defined as "snacker". Snack is thought to be the promoter of obesity because it contains high fat and high sugar. This study is a quantitative research design with quasy experiment. This study was done to see if there are changes in the selection of snacks to students at Senior High School 16 Makassar before and after nutrition education through the booklet media. The population of this research is the students of class X and XI Senior High School 16 Makassar, with a total sample of 59 students. The sample was conducted using stratified random sampling. The results showed that there are change choice healthy snack (p=0,011) and sweet snack (p=0,046) before and after the intervention. There are also changes in the number of healthy snacks consumption (p=0,02) and sweet snack (p=0,041). The conclusion from this study that there is change choice snack before and after nutrition education through the booklet media at Senior High School 16 Makassar.

Abstract

Abstrak Latar Belakang: Usia 0-24 bulan merupakan periode emas dalam pertumbuhan anak yang mampu menentukan status gizi dan kesehatan anak di masa depan. Di Kabupaten Bone, angka stunting untuk anak usia 0-24 bulan adalah 37,3%, dan merupakan lokus stunting 2020. Salah satu program untuk membantu mengatasi masalah kesehatan dan gizi pada anak adalah program Pemberian Makan Bayi dan Anak (PMBA). Tujuan: Untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi program PMBA di Kabupaten Bone Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan serta faktor-faktor yang berperan dalam implementasi program. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan studi dokumen. Penentuan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya. Jumlah subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah 18 orang. Partisipan terdiri dari 1 orang pengelola program gizi Dinas Kesehatan Kab. Bone, 4 Tenaga Pelaksana Gizi Puskesmas, 4 Bidan Desa, 4 Kader posyandu dan 6 masyarakat. Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan dalam hal penerimaan (acceptability) program PMBA antara pelaksana program (TPG, Bidan dan Kader) dengan penerima manfaat program (masyarakat). Penerimaan yang berbeda tersebut berkaitan dengan kepatuhan dalam implementasi program PMBA yang tidak tepat. Namun telah terdapat kebijakan daerah untuk mendukung implementasi program PMBA di Kab. Bone. Kesimpulan: Implementasi program PMBA di Kabupaten Bone belum efektif secara keseluruhan dikarenakan berbagai faktor, dari pelaksana program maupun penerima manfaat program. Diperlukan evaluasi lebih lanjut dalam implementasi program PMBA sehingga bisa maksimal dalam menjalankannya. Kata Kunci: PMBA; implementasi; program; anak ABSTRACT Background: Age 0-24 months is a golden period in the development of children who are able to determine the nutritional status and health of children in the future. In Bone District, the stunting prevalence for children aged 0-24 months is 37.3%, and it is the locus for stunting in 2020. One of the programs to overcome health and nutrition problems in children is the Infant and Young Child Feeding Program (IYCF). Objective: To explore the implementation of the IYCF program in Bone District, South Sulawesi Province and the factors that have been associated with implementation of program. Method: This study is a qualitative study with a case study approach. Data was performed through in-depth interviews, observations and document studies. Determination of participants was carried out by purposive sampling method in accordance with specified inclusion and exclusion criteria. The number of participants in this study were 18 people. Result: There are differences in the acceptability of the IYCF program between the program implementers (nutrisionist, midwives and cadres) and the program beneficiaries (the community). This relates to fidelity with the improper implementation of the IYCF program. In the implementation of the IYCF program, there are still limitations in human resources as well as facilities and infrastructure, but there have been local policies to support the implementation of the IYCF program in Bone District. Conclusion: The implementation of the IYCF program in Bone District has not been effective as a whole due to various factors, from the program and beneficiaries. Further evaluation is needed in the IYCF implementation program so that it can be maximally implemented. Keywords: IYCF, implementation, program, young child

Abstract

Stunting is one of the nutritional problems experienced by several countries in the world, especially developing countries including Indonesia. The prevalence of stunting in Majene Regency reaches 35.7%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the age at which complementary foods were introduced and the incidence of stunting. The population in this study were toddlers aged 24-59 months. The sample in this study was obtained using a saturated sample technique, namely the entire population was sampled. To analyze the test data used the chi-square test. The results of the statistical test showed a p value (0.038) <0.05, which means that there is a relationship between the age of introduction of breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Toddlers with an earlier introduction of weaning food have a risk of 2.595 times experiencing stunting compared to toddlers whose introduction of weaning food is on time Keywords: stunting; weaning food; toddlers.

Abstract

Provinsi Sulawesi Barat memiliki angka prevalensi balita stunting lebih tinggi dari prevalensi balita stunting nasional, dengan Kabupaten Polewali Mandar sebagai Kabupaten dengan kasus stunting tertinggi. Salah satu Desa Prioritas untuk intervensi stunting di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar berdasarkan kajian Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) Tahun 2019 adalah Desa Laliko. Berdasarkan observasi kami di Desa Laliko, permasalahan stunting disebabkan oleh kurangnya literasi gizi bagi Ibu-Ibu di Desa Laliko terkait pentingnya kecukupan gizi anak pada periode Golden Age. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang stunting dan penanganannya, serta pentingnya kecukupan gizi bagi anak terutama pada era Golden Age atau 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (HPK). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pendidikan masyarakat dengan memberikan penyuluhan terkait stunting dan 1000 HPK. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Laliko terkait stunting dan periode emas kehidupan anak (1000 HPK). Masyarakat Desa Laliko Kecamatan Campalagian Polewali Mandar juga sangat setuju bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan ini terlaksana dengan baik dengan persentasi mencapai 87.81%.

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis sangat penting untuk dimiliki serta kegiatan menulis dapat dijadikan sebagai budaya, sebab dengan kemampuan tersebut seseorang dapat menuangkan ide-ide dan gagasan dengan sistematis dan runtun dalam bentuk karya ilmiah, serta dapat memperluas cakrawala dan mendorong penulis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir. Karya tulis yang dihasilkan juga akan menjadi pengikat gagasan, ide dan kreatifitas yang penulis miliki. Kegiatan pelatihan bertujuan untuk mengadakan kegiatan dalam bidang pendidikan dan menginformasikan kepada mahasiswa terkait sistematika penulisan skripsi Program Studi Gizi, Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan. Pada pelatihan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi peserta Pelatihan tentang pentingnya kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah agar memudahkan dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir.
