Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve vocabulary mastery in SMA Negeri 5 Padang Sidempuan with the use of Media Track West is expected to achieve the purpose of this research. The research approach used is Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted SMA Negeri 5 Padang Sidempuan, in August 2022. The research subjects of amounting to 31 students. Data collection methods used include: documentation, observation and tests. Data analysis techniques used to determine the increase of vocabulary mastery used test that was tested after the action compared the giving of the material before using the song method used likert scale with four choices that is good, enough and less to 12 aspect of teacher, 20 aspect of student vocabulary improvement. Based on the research results can be concluded that with the use of song method (singing) can: improve the mastery of vocabulary students SMA Negeri 5 Padang Sidempuan academic year 2021/2022. Evident from 31 students whose vocabulary is not good at cycle I activity with average score 67,9 increase at the end of cycle II become 83,87 of student of SMA Negeri 5 Padang Sidempuan academic year 2021/2022. Evidenced by the increase of the percentage of students' learning mastery from 54.84% in the cycle I activity to 90.32% at 90.32% percentage standard that is good qualification at the end of cycle II activity. Suggestions that can be given through this research are 1) song media can be used to improve vocabulary mastery; 2) media track can be used to improve student activity; 3) to the teachers especially art teachers can use the song media in the process of delivering language learning; 4) Singing can be used by teachers to train students to express themselves so that children's activities develop.

Abstract

Clean water and sanitation are very important needs. This is because without clean water and sanitation on earth cannot take place. Humans, animals, and all plants need clean water and sanitation for their lives. The clean water and sanitation needed by humans must meet both quality and quantity requirements. To get clean water and sanitation that meets the requirements. The community of Labuan Rasoki Village is one of the villages that received assistance from the clean water and proper sanitation program from the government. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude of public awareness about the importance of maintaining clean water and proper sanitation in Labuan Rasoki Village, East Angkola District, South Tapanuli Regency. This research is qualitative and descriptive in nature to find out will maintain awareness of maintaining clean water and proper sanitation in Labuan Rasoki Village, East Angkola District, South Tapanuli Regency. In obtaining data, the author made direct observations by conducting interviews. From the results of a survey conducted by the author on the lack of awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and actions of the community about clean water and proper sanitation.

Abstract

Waste is a substance produced from an industrial and household. Waste can be in the form of garbage, latrine water (black water), and waste water from various other domestic activities, waste treatment can also produce economic value and solve waste problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the waste treatment system of the city of Padang Sidempuan, North Sumatera Province by using the data obtained and bibliography searches related to this writing. The type of research used by the author is descriptive, namely to explain about the waste management system in the city of Padang Sidempuan. While the data taken in this study is primary data obtained based on direct observation, namely by looking at places that have been affected by flooding and pre-existing hygiene data.

Abstract

The connection between language and culture becomes increasingly evident when the Thai language influences the variations of Jawi Malay dialects in Narathiwat. This research aims to analyze the impact of Thai language interference on the dialectal variations of Malay language in Narathiwat, Thailand, using a sociolinguistic approach. We investigate changes in language, including vocabulary usage, phonological shifts, and social influences in the everyday situations of Narathiwat society. The research methods involve interviews, surveys, text analysis, and observations in everyday contexts. The expected outcomes are to enhance understanding of language dynamics in Narathiwat, which plays a crucial role in preserving cultural and linguistic identities in a multilingual environment. This study has the potential to provide valuable insights into the preservation and maintenance of Malay language in Narathiwat, emphasizing the importance of language and sociolinguistic research in areas with strong language influences and significant cultural blends. This abstract covers the research background, objectives, research methods, research findings, discussion, conclusion, and research implications, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the scope and relevance of this study
