Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) effect of factors for productivity of rice yields in Benu Village, Takari District, Kupang Regency (2) The effect of rice productivity on the economic condition of the community in Benu Village, Takari District, Kupang Regency. This research is a quantitative description research. The process of determining respondents in the study used random sampling with a total of 59 respondents. Data collection techniques in this study used two techniques, are questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques used quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and simple regression analysis. Based on the research results, the geographical factors that affect the productivity of rice farming in Benu Village are climatic conditions, soil conditions, types of land and types of irrigation channels that play an important role in agriculture. The effect of rice productivity on economic conditions can be seen by the T test (partial test) it can be seen that the variable level of agricultural productivity (x) shows a significant value < (0.004 < 0.05) with a B value of -0.371 which means that the level of productivity rice farming has a positive and significant effect on economic conditions in Benu Village, Takari District, Kupang Regency. In the table of the coefficient of determination, it can be seen that the R value of 0.371 indicates that the effect of the level of productivity of agricultural products on economic conditions in Benu Village, Takari District, Kupang Regency is 37% while the remaining 63% is explained by variables that do not exist in the study such as employment status and other income. . And in the regression test a significant value of 0.004 <0.05 indicates a positive and significant influence on economic conditions in Benu Village, Takari District, Kupang Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) determine the availability of clean water sources used by residents to meet household needs. 2) find out what efforts are being made by the community to overcome the shortage of clean water in Fatuketi Village, Kakuluk Mesak District, Belu Regency. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods: observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this research were the people of Fatuketi village from four hamlets and the object of this research was the residents' dug wells in studying the availability of clean water sources to fulfill household needs. The results of this study found that the availability of clean water in Fatuketi village was lacking, namely judging from the distribution of wells, there were nine dug wells taken from four hamlets because the least available water source was in four hamlets, including: Fatubesi Hamlet, Sureu Hamlet, Amoro Hamlet and also Dusun Fukalaran. From the availability of clean water sources in Fatuketi Village, some use tank water 51% and well water 49%. In tackling the shortage of clean water in Fatuketi village, Kalukuk Mesak sub-district, they are trying to buy a tank. There are also those who collect well water by accessing clean water using motorbikes or carts for a distance of 70-100 meters. The community seeks access at such a distance in order to meet their daily needs, namely: bathing, washing, cooking, and watering the plants.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) identify the supporting and inhibiting geographical components of the tie-woven business in Tiwurana Village, (2) find out the production process of the tie-woven business in Tiwurana Village and (3) find out the contribution of the results of the tie-woven business in Tiwurana Village. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Sources of data in this study include primary and secondary data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation study. Respondents in the study were woven craftsmen with a population of 20 woven craftsmen and the sample used a non-probability sampling technique with all populations as samples. Quantitative descriptive data analysis used frequency tables. The results of this study are: (1) in the form of geographic components supporting the woven textile business; the physical environment (soil and climate), the human environment (labor) and the accessibility of the local area, (2) the geographical components that inhibit the woven textile business; human environment (lack of capital, labor, lack of marketing breadth) physical environment in the form of climate change, (3) the production process of woven weaving learns various stages. such as the arrangement of threads for making motifs, coloring, washing, drying, arranging threads after drying, weaving and using non-natural factory raw materials because they are difficult to obtain, (4) the contribution of the results of woven fabrics; these products are sold in the market to meet daily needs, in addition to that as the inheritance of traditional culture during marriage death
