Skripsi, Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika dan IPA, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, Pembimbing (I) Nur Rohman, S.Pd., M.Pd., (II) Cahyo Hasanudin, S.Pd., M.Pd.Keywords: Ability analysis, Mathematical problem solving, Material opportunity, GenderThis research was carried out by researchers with the aim of analyzing the mathematical problem-solving abilities of Grade VIII students at MTs Darul Falah Terpadu in the matter of opportunities in terms of gender. This research method is qualitative by using a qualitative descriptive approach with the researcher acting as the key or main instrument. The data source in this study was class VIII MTs Darul Falah Terpadu. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, tests, and interviews. To maintain the validity of the data, data triangulation activities were carried out. The triangulation used by researchers in this study is source triangulation, namely by comparing observed data and interview data. The data to be compared in this study are data from the subject's work with data from interviews with the subject.Based on the results of the research on the analysis of the mathematical problem-solving abilities of Grade VIII students at MTs Darul Falah Integrated in the matter of opportunities in terms of gender, 4 students were taken as samples. The sample consisted of 2 male students who had high and low scores and 2 female students who had high and low scores who met the problem-solving ability indicators according to Polya Theory. In Polya Theory there are 4 indicators including (1) understanding the problem. (2) make a settlement plan (devising a plan). (3) carrying out the story (carry out the plan. (4) looking back). For 2 students who have high scores it can be seen that the ability to understand problems between boys and girls is higher for boys, this can be seen from the results of the tests carried out by these students.For 2 students who have low abilities have less ability to understand problems so the results obtained have deficiencies.Therefore it can be concluded that the mathematical problem solving abilities of male and female students are higher man.
