Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dan kecerdasan spiritual dengan perilaku prososial. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral Santo Bonaventura Keuskupan Agung Medan, tahun Akademik 2014-2015, yang berjumlah 275 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah sebagian mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral Santo Bonaventura Keuskupan Agung Medan yang telah menjalani pendidikan minimal 1 tahun. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah proportionate stratified random sampling yang menjaring 55 orang mahasiswa sebagai responden penelitian. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala perilaku prososial, skala kecerdasan emosi, dan skala kecerdasan spiritual. Data penelitian yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dan kecerdasan spiritual dengan perilaku prososial pada mahasiswa calon katekis, ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan perilaku prososial, serta ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara kecerdasan spiritual dengan perilaku prososial.

Abstract

Self-confidence is the ability of individuals to believe in their own potential and not depend on others to develop positive attitudes and values in themselves. This study aims to identify the role of Catholic Religious Education teachers in increasing students' self-confidence at Santo Yoseph Private Junior High School Medan. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that Catholic Religious Education teachers have a significant role in increasing learners' self-confidence through a personal approach and interactive learning. Teachers help learners to be more opinionated and more confident in interacting in class. The findings provide an impression for the practice of education in schools, especially in developing learners' social skills and self-confidence. The results of this study also show that the confidence and self-confidence of learners at Santo Yoseph Private Junior High School Medan is still very low.

Abstract

Karakter penting untuk diterapkan di sekolah. Salah satu karakter yang diterapkan di sekolah yaitu karakter tanggung jawab. Karakter tanggung jawab salah satu karakter yang dibentuk oleh seorang PAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana peran guru PAK dalam pembentukan karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif. Latar belakang penulisan artikel ini adalah karena karakter tanggung jawab siswa terlihat masih lemah, tidak memiliki kesadaran dalam melaksanakan tanggung jawab ada di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran guru PAK sudah dilaksanakan sebaik mungkin dalam pembentukan karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik di Kelas VIII B SMP Swasta Santo Xaverius 2 Kabanjahe. Sebagian besar peserta didik di kelas VIII B sudah melaksanakan tanggung jawabnya dengan baik dilihat ketika peserta didik mampu melaksanakan tugas dan kewajibannya, menetapkan teladan yang baik dan ikut berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran ketua dewan pastoral stasi dalam meningkatkan kreativitas pembina minggu gembira di stasi Santa Skolastika Sirumbia Paroki Santo Petrus dan Paulus Kabanjahe. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertama, kreativitas pembina minggu gembira dilakukan dengan beberapa bentuk kreasi. Kreativitas pembina dilaksanakan dengan empat bentuk yaitu kreasi dan variasi doa, kreasi tempat tempat duduk, kreasi acara aktivitas dan kreasi lagu dan gerak. Anak Minggu Gembira sangat menyukai, sangat bahagia dan antusias untuk mengikuti setiap kegiatan yang diberikan pembina. Pembina minggu gembira sudah kreatif mengemas setiap kegiatan minggu gembira. Kedua, peran ketua dewan pastoral stasi meningkatkan kreativitas pembina minggu gembira sudah menjalankan perannya. Ketua Dewan Pastoral Stasi mampu menjadi motor kegiatan dengan menggerakkan pembina minggu gembira untuk berlatih dan memberikan pelatihan kepada pembina minggu gembira, menyediakan atau memberikan fasilitas untuk mendukung kegiatan minggu gembira dan menjadi motivator.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian tentang resiliensi akademik telah banyak dilakukan di seluruh dunia. Banyak faktor pelindung dan faktor risiko resiliensi akademik yang telah diteliti. Namun, penelitian resiliensi akademik terhadap siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) seminari menengah masih merupakan hal yang baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali sejumlah faktor pelindung resiliensi akademik siswa SMA seminari menengah, yaitu: iklim sekolah dan kesejahteraan rohani. Ini penting, mengingat bahwa SMA seminari menengah merupakan institusi pendidikan yang spesifik, dan sangat penting bagi Gereja Katolik. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 664 siswa yang berasal dari 3 SMA seminari menengah di Indonesia. Angket penelitian disebar dengan dua cara, online dan ofline. Pengumpulan data terhadap dua SMA seminari dilakukan secara ofline, sedangkan terhadap satu SMA seminari lainnya secara online melalui google form. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan aplikasi AMOS. Hasil uji model teoretis menunjukkan bahwa model resiliensi akademik siswa SMA Seminari Menengah ditinjau dari iklim sekolah dan Kkesejahteraan rohani sesuai dengan model empiris. Selain itu dari iklim sekolah dan kesejahteraan rohani berkorelasi signifikan dan positif terhadap resiliensi akademik, Dengan demikian temuan penelitian ini ialah bahwa iklim sekolah dan kesejahteraan rohani adalah faktor pelindung resiliensi akademik bagi siswa SMA seminari menengah, Kata kunci: resiliensi akademik, SMA Seminari Menengah, iklim sekolah, kesejahteraan rohani, faktor pelindung.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the role of Catholic Religious Education Teachers in shaping the disciplined character of Class XI students at Kabanjahe 2 Catholic Private High School. In achieving this goal, research was carried out at Kabanjahe 2 Catholic Private High School. The informants in this research were religious teachers, school principals and students. Teachers have a role as motivators, as role models and as managers of learning. The teacher referred to in this research is a Catholic religious education teacher. Researchers use qualitative research methods. The data collection technique uses 3 (three) activities, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Based on field results, the religion teacher at Private Catholic High School 2 Kabanjahe carries out his role as a teacher, so that he can shape the disciplined character of students. This is characterized by students who obey the rules, do their assignments on time and are loyal in following the teaching and learning process in class.

Abstract

This article aims to explain that resilience is a very basic psychological construct that every teacher should have for the success of their teaching and learning. Resilience is something that must be fought for continuously. It is a dynamic process that must be fought for all time. Apart from that, resilience is not something that can stand alone, it is the result of a collaboration of a number of factors. This article will explain three types of factors that are very strong in forming resilience. The three intended factors are: emotion awareness, emotion regulation, and self-transcence relationship. Emotion awareness makes a teacher always aware (in Javanese language) of every emotion in himself. With emotion regulation, a teacher always tries to regulate or control and direct his emotions towards positive things. However, in fact, quite a few emotions that we have realized cannot be easily controlled. Even when a teacher has received input from colleagues or from the school principal, emotions that have run high are still difficult to regulate. For this reason, teachers need a third factor, self-transcendence. With a transcendental relationship, teachers can ask for help from the God they believe in to regulate their emotions to be positive.

Abstract

The Eucharist as the source and pinnacle of the liturgy involves all people participating in Christ's sacrifice. It is hoped that the participation of all people in the Sacrament of the Eucharist will enable people to appreciate the meaning of unity, the meaning of sacrifice, and the meaning of preaching in the sacrament of the Eucharist. Understanding the meaning of the Eucharist directs people to realize it in the Catholic family. This is because all activities carried out in family life flow from the Eucharist and always draw strength from the Eucharist. However, the application of the meaning of the Sacrament of the Eucharist in Catholic families has begun to become less visible within the family. This research uses qualitative research methods using observation, interview and documentation analysis techniques. Observations are carried out by observing events and behavior that are needed to support the research being carried out. The interview technique is carried out by asking questions to the informant, to obtain the information needed according to the research. Also documentation as supporting evidence for research results. The research results show that the implementation of the meaning of the unity of the sacrament of the Eucharist in the Catholic family is carried out through joint prayer, personal prayer, eating together, gathering with the family, and the unity of husband and wife participating in church activities.

Abstract

Students' emotional disorders are still a source of problems in the world of education.  This emotional disorder will influence their future and their adolescence itself. The other researcher has been done some therapy, but it doesn’t work enough to pretend the teenager’s emotional disorder. This research aims to offer a solution to the problem of emotional disorders, especially depression, anxiety, and panic disorders. The solution in question is an emotional therapy called The Heart Technique, which is part of hypnotherapy. The method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. The subjects of this research were Class XI SOS students at RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam Private High School. SOS 1 class is the experimental class and SOS 2 class is the control class. Data processing was carried out using Excel and SPSS applications. The results of data processing show that the heart technique therapy is effective in reducing students' emotional disorders.

Abstract

Purpose – Gadget addiction is a condition where a person is said to be a gadget addict when they spend most of their time playing gadgets. Gadget addiction is a condition in which a person experiences excessive dependence on the use of electronic devices, such as cell phones or tablets, thus disrupting their daily life and health. The purpose of this study is to find out how the condition of gadget addiction in students and to find out the role of Catholic religious education teachers in overcoming gadget addiction in students.Method – The research method conducted by the author is Using qualitative methods, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.The result of observations and interviews Data processing techniques through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.Findings – The research findings show the high level of gadget addiction in students and in overcoming students' gadget addiction, teachers play five roles, namely as role models by giving examples of deactivating gadgets before learning, as learning managers by making lesson plans and using methods that are suitable for students, as motivators by motivating students such as giving positive praise and punishment, as facilitators by preparing books, and as facilitators by preparing books for students. Research Implications – The implication of this study shows that the high gadget addiction among SMA Negeri 1 Delitua students affects their academic productivity, mental health, and social interaction. PAK teachers act as role models, learning managers, motivators, facilitators, and mentors, which are effective in reducing gadget addiction in students.
