The Role of Family and Community in The Treatment of Mental Disorder Patients Pujianto, Tutut; Agustin, Retno Ardanari

Abstract

Mental health is an integral part of health, and a condition that affects the physical, mental, and  social  development  of  the  individual  optimally.  Mental  disorder  is  disturbances  in:  cognitive, volition, emotion (affective), and actions (psychomotor). Mental disorder is a collection of abnormal circumstances, whether physically related, or mentally. It is divided into two groups, namely: mental disorder  (neurosis)  and  mental  illness  (psychosis).  Mental  disorder  is  caused  by  some  of  the  above causes affected simultaneously or coincidence occurs. The purpose of this study was to increase the role of family and society in the treatment of mental disorder patients which was consequently could reduce the number of mental disorders patients This research used obsevational design with descriptive analy- sis. The subjects were family members who treat mental disorder patients as much as 16 respondents. The data collection was done in October 2012. The family role data grouped into appropriate and inappro- priate  category.  The  research  found  that  11  people  (68.75%)  in  the  category  of  inappropriate,  and appropriate by 5 people (31.25%), with average family role of 63.19%. The higher of inappropriate category was because 9 respondents (56.25%) in the age of elderly (> 50 years). This condition caused a decrease in the ability to perform daily activities, including health treatment. There were 4 patients who have been treated for 7-14 years, so the family feels accustomed to the condition of the patient. There were 8 people (50%) in productive age treated the patients, so it could not be done continuously. Based on these conditions, there should be efforts to increase knowledge and willingness of the patients and families, in caring for patients with mental disorders. The examples of such activities were to consult with the nearest health employees, and report to the health worker if there is a risky condition immedi- ately.

Abstract

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic could have an adverse impact on both physical and psychosocial conditions. Physical distancing encourages a person to be unable to perform activities normally to reduce the likelihood of transmission. Physical distancing must be done by everyone, including students and their families. This condition can lead to feelings of loneliness, boredom, and anxiety. Another impact that society feels is the onset of unrest due to financial condition, employment, and future life plans. Anxiety and anxiety caused by the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in the emergence of mental health problems and emotional mental disorders. Purpose: This study aimed to find out the picture of mental health and emotional mental disorders in students and families during the Covid 19 Pandemic.Methods: The research design used is a descriptive crossectional. The population in this study was students of Nursing Diploma 3 Study Program STIKES Karya Husada Kediri and his family. Fifty-six students were selected as sample members, through random sampling techniques. The variables in this study were mental health and emotional mental disorders. Data retrieval is carried out from 6 to 20 June 2020, with the instrument Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-29). Descriptive analysis of data is performed with the help of frequency distribution tables.Results: The results of the study found that there were 2 respondents (3.6%) psychological disorders (anxiety and depression), none (0%) psychoactive disorders/drug use. Research data also shows that there are 5 respondents (8.9%) psychotic disorders, as well as 16 respondents (28.6%) PTSD disorder. Mental health disorders experienced by respondents are emotional mental disorders with symptoms of fear, worry, anxiety, tension and even excessive headaches. Mental health disorders result in impaired daily life activities.Conclusion: To prevent an increase in the number of people with emotional mental disorders in students and their families, there needs to be educational efforts that contain how to avoid and overcome emotional mental disorders that occur and the need for psychosocial mental health support in students and their families

Abstract

Secara global penyakit degeneratif adalah penyebab kematian yang utama. WHO memaparkan ada sebanyak 57 juta orang meninggal dunia pada tahun 2008, penyakit degeneratif adalah penyumbang penyebab kematian tersebut sebanyak 36 juta jiwa (66,7 %) yang juga menjadi penyebab kematian penduduk dengan usia yang lebih muda. Sebanyak Lebih dari dua pertiga dari semua populasi secara global orang dengan penyakit degeneratif (kanker, jantung, strooke dan diabetes) akan meninggal dunia. Makanan yang rasanya enak umumnya bukan termasuk jenis makanan yang sehat. Makanan yang terasa enak (gurih) disebabkan karena di dalam makanan tersebut banyak mengandung lemak, seperti makanan yang berasal dari daging kambing, sapi, ayam, dan lain-lain. Mengkonsumsi lemak hewani maupun lemak nabati secara berlebihan bisa menimbulkan obesitas, penyakit jantung, hipertensi, dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini adalah peneltian eksperimental laboratorik dengan pre post test only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah penjual soto daging yang ramai di wilayah Kabupaten Kediri dengan pengambilan sampel penjual soto daging diambil secara random sampling. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah Quercetin dan kitosan sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah kandungan asam lemak bebas yang terdapat dalam soto daging. Penambahan kitosan dan quersetin secara bersamaan pada soto daging dapat menurunkan kandungan asam lemak bebas / free fatty acid (FFA) lebih baik dibandingakan dengan diberikan terpisah. Perlunya dilakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan menggunakan hewan coba yang diberikan kitosan dan quersetin yang diberi pakan tinggi lemak untuk mengetahui efek langsung setelah dimetabolisme oleh tubuh.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by dengue virus andinfected by mosquitoes Aedhesaegypti. Incidence of dengue affected by the weather conditions of the mosquito habitat itself. By using the data of dengue incidence of East Java Health Office and weather conditions from BMKG of SawahanNganjuk in 2010-2014, can be performed to determine the influence of weather forecasting (X) ((temperature (X1), rainfall (X2), solar radiation (X3), humidity (X4), and wind speed (X5) on the incidence of DHF (Y). The results of linear regression analysis with SPSS software (α: 0.05) in Genesis models get dengue=0.106 -1.943 rain moisture. From that model it is known that rainfall is the dominant factor affecting the incidence of dengue. Therefore, efforts should be made for preventing the incidence of DHF is doing the cleaning continer before the rains come.

Abstract

Abstract Hypertension is a circulatory system disorder that increases the increase in blood pressure above normal so that it has a risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure. In hypertension, blood pressure increases due to blood pumping through blood vessels with excess force. Hypertension can be triggered by the consumption of inappropriate foods such as foods that contain lots of sugar, high salt, excessive fat such as thick coconut milk, oil, vegetables and fruits that contain gas, and drinks consumed every day with coffee. to identify an overview of the diet in advanced hypertension sufferers in Puskesmas Pare. This study used a cross sectional research design. With a sample of 15 patients. The results of the research on dietary patterns in patients greatly affect hypertension. It is proven that the majority of hypertension sufferers are in the 60-70 years age group. Meanwhile, the total intake of energy, carbohydrates, protein and fat is generally not in accordance with the recommendations for hypertension sufferers, namely> 60%. This is because the amount of energy, carbohydrate, protein, and fat intake is generally more which is not in accordance with the recommendations for people with hypertension. Based on the results of the research, it is recommended for Puskesmas Pare to carry out nutritional counseling or associations for hypertension sufferers to talk about all vitamins or nutrients in carrying out a diet or dietary regulation and provide recommendations to avoid and limit food such as consuming salty, sweet, and fatty so as not to cause complications. Abstract

Malnourished toddler can be caused by inappropriate supplementary feeding, ignorance of the good way of feeding, and habits that are harmful to health. Malnourished toddlers will grow small, thin, and short which have an impact to their cognitive abilities, low intelligence, and the decrease of productivity. In order to overcome the malnourished on the group of toddler, Supplementary Food Feeding (PMT) is a way to solve the problem. The PMT biscuit programs tends to be unsuccessful because the toddler boredom to the biscuit approximately in a week. Therefore it is necessary to modify the biscuits into toddlers’ favorite food, so that it can improve the nutritional status of the toddlers. The assistance of malnourished toddler was done to 8 toddlers of Desa Pelem Kecamatan Pare Kabupaten Kediri. The determination of malnourished toddler status was done by doing 24-hour recall. From the recall results, it also obtained data of energy consumption level of toddlers. The making of supplementary food by PMT biscuit as the basis material was done by paying attention to the energy, protein, fat and carbohydrate content, which was given in 14 days. The evaluation of the assistance was done by comparing the weight of a toddler before and after the giving of PMT as well as changes in the level of energy consumption, protein, fat and carbohydrates. The results showed that 62.5% experienced an increase in body weight, 25% did not experience a change in body weight, and 12.5% experienced a decrease in body weight. Toddlers who experienced weight loss was occurred because at the time of the assistance, they suffered from dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). While toddlers who did not experience changes in body weight was occurred because of coughs and colds. The increase of weight that occurred in 62.5% of children under five was in the range of 0.1 kg to 0.5 kg, while the level of the consumption of energy, protein, fat and carbohydrates has also increased. Based on the results of the assistance, PMT is necessary to be continued. In order to be more successful in the assistance program, parents of the toddler need to be given additional knowledge of the menu variations

Abstract

Nasi pecel tumpang merupakan makanan asli Kediri yang tersebar merata di seluruh wilayah Kediri. Makanan tradisional ini selayaknya perlu mendapatkan perhatian bagi para penjual dan pembeli, terutama dari sisi kesehatan. Karena sambel tumpang tidak selalu habis disajikan dan harus dihangatkan berkali-kali. Keberadaan mikroorganisme dalam sambel tumpang bisa menjadi penyebab timbulnya keracunan makanan (food poisoning). Masuknya mikroba ke dalam makanan dapat terjadi pada tahap pemilihan bahan makanan, pengolahan dan penyajian makanan yang kurang tepat. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kampung Inggris Pare, terhadap 15 penjual nasi pecel tumpang dengan desain crossectional. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penyimpanan terhadap kualitas mikrobiologis sambel tumpang, dengan empat parameter, yaitu APN Coiform, APM Eschericia coli, Salmonella sp., dan kapang. Pembuktian hypotesis dilakukan dengan menghubungkan skor inspeksi sanitasi dengan kualitas mikrobiologis sambel tumpang dengan menggunakan dengan uji coefisien contingensi (α:5%), menggunakan bantuan software statistik. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian adalah peralatan dan perlakuan penyimpanan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kualitas sambel tumpang, namun lingkungan penyimpanan berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap kualitas sambel tumpang (p value : 0,050). Dari empat parameter mikrobiologis, APM coliform adalah parameter yang dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan penyimpanan. Dari kesimpulan tersebut maka disarankan kepada pedagang untuk selalu membersihkan lingkunganya dari sampah dan menutup rapat wadah sambel tumpangnya.

Abstract

Gangguan organ tubuh pada pankreas dalam memproduksi insulin merupakan penyebab munculnya penyakit kronis yaitu Diabetes Mellitus. Glukosa darah dapat stabil, apabila penderita DM melaksanakan penatalaksanaan diet DM yaitu edukasi, tingkat konsumsi, olahraga, dan farmokologi. Nilai glukosa darah menjadi suatu indikator yang dapat menunjukkan terkendalinya penyakit DM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan terhadap nilai glukosa darah serta hubungan tingkat konsumsi (energi dan karbohidrat) dengan nilai glukosa darah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian analitik observasional dengan data diambil dalam satu waktu (Cross Sectional). Penelitian dilaksanakan di puskesmas Keling Kabupaten Kediri dan rumah responden. Pengambilan sampel diambil secara sengaja sesuai persyaratan sampel yang diperlukan (purposive sampling) pada 15 pasien. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode recall, wawancara kuesioner pengetahuan, food recall 3x24 jam dengan alat bantu formulir anamnesa dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Spearmen Rank. Hasil uji Spearmen Rank pada variabel pengetahuan terhadap nilai glukosa darah menghasilkan bahwa kedua variabel saling berhubungan dengan nilai P=0,005 alfa <0,05. Sedangkan variabel tingkat konsumsi energi dan tingkat konsumsi karbohidrat terhadap nilai glukosa darah menghasilkan bahwa kedua variabel tersebut tidak terdapat hubungan dengan nilai p=0,085 alfa >0,05. Kesimpulannya adalah terdapat hubungan tingkat pengetahuan terhadap nilai glukosa darah dan tidak terdapat hubungan tingkat konsumsi energi dan tingkat konsumsi karbohidrat terhadap nilai glukosa darah. Saran yang diberikan pada penelitian ini secara berkala melaksanakan penyuluhan mengenai empat pilar penatalaksanaan, agar penderita selalu terpapar informasi dan meningkatkan monitoring dan evaluasi secara berkala. Penyuluhan dapat berupa "cooking class" dan program emodemo.
