Abstract

This article is entitled "Boris Yeltsin: Era of Transitional Government Post-Fall of the Soviet Union". This article describes the efforts made by President Boris Yeltsin who was elected as the first Russian president and how his leadership in running the political wheel during the transition period. policy focuses on changing and accustoming society to democratic life. like the implementation of the economic liberalization program with one of them being the granting of privatization vochers. but as is the case with an unstable transition process, the test of democracy must be faced by transitional governments such as the turmoil of regions that want to free themselves and also the readiness of the people to quickly adapt directly to major changes that occur are considered quite difficult given the seventy years of previous government that still made an impression in people's lives. The method used is a historical method which includes heuristic steps, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The conclusion I got was that the process of democratization programmed by Boris Yeltsin led to the introduction of a top-down model, one of which was reflected in the privatization program that gave rise to the elite or oligarchy as the most prominent group resulting from the democratization. This became a blunder for the second period of Yeltsin's government, the collapse of the ruble, the non-payment of the London Club's foreign debt, and the corruption scandal of the oligarchs (Mabatex) who were in Yeltsin's circle became a bad record in his era of leadership, compounded by his health that was getting worse and worse. get worse. That fact forced him to have to resign as President of Russia on December 31, 1999

Abstract

Ideally, the students’ goal in carrying out the activities of learning is to obtain behavioural change. But it was contradictory wherein the reality found during observations in Grade XI IPS C. During learning History takes place, students were doing activities that improper with the learning agenda. The cause as the use of learning methods thatirrelevant to each student’s character. Based on the results’ observations, the author realized the proper method for students of Grade XI IPS C is Role Playing. Therefore the author conducted a classroom action research with the research formulation “Howto apply the Role Playing method in learning History to improve directed learning activities for students of Grade XI IPS C in MAN I Bandung?” This Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on Kemmis Taggart design. In this design, CAR is carried out in several cycles which are divided into 4 (four) stages namely: Planning, Action,Observation and Reflection. After applying the Role Playing method, the author found an increasing towards student learning activities both physically and mentally. Thus it can be concluded that the Role Playing method is strongly effective in directing student activities in learning History.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the importance of forming professionalhistory teacher candidates in accordance with the above mentioned expectations,the Department of Historical Education needs to empower and develop the HistoryLaboratory as a superior program. The History Education Laboratory is centered onthe field of science, a place of authority and academic integrity. The HistoryEducation Laboratory was formed in order to meet the needs of the department andthe development of academics. The main limitation of this research problem is"what is the model of Management of Historical Education Laboratory in HigherEducation from the Organization and Administration aspects? Qualitative researchmethods are research procedures that produce descriptive data in the form ofwritten or oral words from and observable behavior. The objective of the researcherto use a qualitative approach is to look for a complex and holistic description of thesubject matter studied in this regard regarding the management model of theHistorical Education laboratory in tertiary institutions.
