Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's role in shaping the disciplinary character of fifth grade students at SDN Keroncong 3, Periuk District, Tangerang City. This research is a research using qualitative methods. In this study, researchers conducted research with observation instruments, interviews, and documentation. Then the data collected from the results of this study are described in the form of words. The results of this study can be concluded that the teacher acts as a facilitator, motivator, informer, organizer, director, mediator, initiator, and evaluator. From the results of the interviews it is known that the teacher plays a very important role in shaping the character of student discipline because the teacher has carried out the above aspects. Class V students at SDN Keroncong 3, Periuk District, Tangerang City, have been able to apply discipline at school and in class, because the teacher's role is quite active in providing learning facilities, providing information about discipline, managing learning in class, directing students who lack discipline to become disciplined. , become a mediator, initiator, and even become an evaluator.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out what are the factors of difficulty learning mathematics, operations, counting, addition, and subtraction in grade II elementary school students. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used are test and non-test (observation, interview and documentation). Data research uses Miles & Huberman model data analysis, namely: Data education, data presentation and conclusions. This study used the validity of data in the form of triangulation techniques. From the indicators of difficulty in learning mathematics used, namely: (1) weakness in counting, (2) difficulty in transferring knowledge, (3) lack of understanding of mathematical language, (4) difficulty in visual perception, and (5) difficulty in recognizing symbols, then The results showed that the difficulty factor in learning mathematics calculation operations in grade II elementary school students was the number of students who lacked concentration, students considered that mathematics was a difficult subject for him and many students did not practice doing problems at home.
