This study aims to describe: (a) Difficulty in learning mathematics for fifth grade students, (b) Factors causing difficulty in learning mathematics for fifth grade students, (c) Efforts by teachers to overcome difficulties in learning mathematics for fifth graders. the average score of mathematics is still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). (d) The level of difficulty in learning mathematics experienced by grade V students. The type in this research is a type of qualitative research. Data collection methods used are observation and interview methods. The research results show that: (1) students have difficulty understanding concepts, have difficulty understanding the meaning of questions, and have difficulty solving problems, (2) The factors that cause students to experience difficulties in learning, namely attitudes and interest in learning mathematics are still low (3) The teacher's efforts to overcome the difficulties of learning mathematics by using media or visual aids that are appropriate to the material. It is hoped that teachers can overcome student learning difficulties. So that students' difficulties in learning mathematics are slightly resolved.
